Chapter 16 The hunter and the prey

Kagi's decision of dividing his men into small, separate teams made them more disoriented and vulnerable, making it easier for the guardians to pick on them, one by one. The scouts reported seeing each group in every direction going further north to where the Stone of Life is kept underneath a crater the Gate of Life and Death.
