Chapter 15 Ruins of war

While exploring the spiritual realm, Kagi finds the ruins of the battle long ago and what was left of it. The remains of the villages that were destroyed filled his heart with the feeling of guilt.

Kagi: Father, the doctors said you will be okay now.

Tadayoshi: HAHAHA, my child, we all know that I am going to die very soon right?

Kagi: Don't say that!

Tadayoshi: Before that, I have to tell you the truth about the spirit world. I will not be able to enter that because I am a bad person.

Kagi: What? Why are you saying this?

Tadayoshi: It's because I only followed what Yamada told me. We destroyed Babylon and left nothing but pain in their world.

Kagi: That is not true! Please tell me this is a joke!

Tadayoshi: I'm sorry my child. I was weak, I couldn't make decisions myself.

Kagi: I couldn't believe you! I hate you! I don't want you as my father.

Tadayoshi: Kagi! I am sorry, please don't listen to Yamada!

Kagi Takayama left his father at the hospital and never returned to visit him again until his father's death. He now feels the same guilt from that time as he explores further into the realm.

He took a deep breath and grabbed some snacks to calm him up and forget everything to continue his promise.

Kagi: Alright men, let's rest here for a while. I have some plans to re-discuss.

Explorer: What are you thinking of this time?

Kagi: We must split up in order to cover much more ground. We can find the crater much easier and if you see any threat, do not hesitate to protect yourself.

Explorer: Are you insane? What you're trying to imply is not easy, this isn't our world!

Kagi: Then what do you want? We are sitting ducks here to any threat, yes; this is not our world so it's possible we will be attacked. So let's do it my way, are we clear?!
