CHAPTER 11

Since Lulu has finished eating her fill, there is no reason for them to stay longer inside the fast food restaurant. As for the excess food they ordered, Jackson is about to leave it when the little bun stops him. Lulu doesn't want to waste any of it.

For Lulu, food is the most essential thing in this world. There must be another person thinking the same thing. Her mommy also taught her not to waste any food. If she did, Lulu will become a crawling weed in her next life.

Jackson stares at the little girl who refused to get off her chair. She is definitely that woman's daughter. Although Louisa is a bit annoying and unbearable sometimes, she still knows how to be compassionate and caring towards other people. It is no wonder she will also teach these annoying things to this dumpling.

Clicking his tongue, Jackson calls a staff member and asked him to pack the untouched food on their table and give it to the children outside. Jackson also gave that staff a huge tip as an encouragement to do what he asked of him. After that, he grabs Lulu's hood and pulls her out of the fast food restaurant then they get inside his car.

Before going to their exciting destination, Jackson brought Lulu first to a department store to buy her new clothes. Her turtle onesies have sauce stains and just looking at them makes Jackson irritated a lot. They entered a shop that sells baby clothes made of high-quality materials. When a shop assistant sees his face, she was stunned for a moment before greeting and welcoming them to their shop.

Jackson gives that assistant a lazy smile before looking at the clothes displayed inside the shop. After choosing for a moment, he pulls a bright pink jumper suit and gives it to Lulu. He also grabs a pair of rubber shoes, a cap, a t-shirt, and a pair of socks for the little girl. And all of these things are color pink.

When Jackson put these things on Lulu's chubby arms, the little girl looks at him with a confused expression on her small face.

"Daddy, what are you doing?" Lulu asked and tilts her head.

"Buying you some nice things. Now go and change your clothes." Jackson said.

"No," Lulu said in a dragging voice. "I like being a turtle."

She is not willing to change her turtle onesies. The clothes Lulu is wearing today were given by her daddy number one this morning. Since Lulu is no longer hungry, she doesn't harbor any grudges toward Nathan and starts appreciating him again. A small child like her doesn't hold their grudges for so long.

"Ah, right. It was mentioned in the letter that you like turtles." Jackson said and nods his head.

"Yes! Lulu likes turtles a lot!" the little girl quickly agreed with his words.

"Oh."

Then Jackson looks at Lulu before a smirk appears on his face.

"Well, whatever. Whether you like those turtles or not, I don't care about it. Now go and change your clothes."

"But daddy..."

Ignoring her protest, Jackson calls the shop assistant and transfers all the things he picked up for Lulu into her arms. The assistant stops herself from commenting about his taste. But is this person being serious with his choices? He wants his daughter to wear bright pink clothes from head to toe?

Jackson doesn't care about the shop assistant's confused look. He just simply asks her to help Lulu in changing her clothes. Nodding her head, the assistant approaches the little girl. She is so surprised to see Lulu's adorable face. This one looks like an exquisite doll because of her huge dewy eyes, pouty lips, and blushing cheeks.

If only it's not rude to be overly close with their customers, the shop assistant will definitely try touching and pinching Lulu's chubby cheeks.

"Is she your daughter, sir?" the shop assistant can't help but ask.

The assistant is thinking this little girl is a product of mixed good genes from her parents. She takes a glance at Jackson's face before looking back at Lulu's face. The assistant cannot see any resemblance between these two. This little chubby angel is probably a mini version of her mother.

What the assistant asked is a good question though. Is Lulu his daughter now? Well... Maybe?

Jackson has no objection if this little girl will refer to him as her father. After all, his life is starting to get boring. Maybe this little bun will make his dulling life become exciting once again.

Naturally, he has no experience taking good care of such a small kid. But Jackson is confident that he will become a good guardian for Lulu. If this little dumpling will prove that she can become a good entertainment for him, then Jackson will not mind spoiling her a lot.

Based on what he sees on social media these days, parenting is probably just an easy thing to do.

"Hmm... Yeah. I'm her father starting today." Jackson confirmed.

"..."

The smile on the assistant's face twitched a little when she heard his reply. She decided not to pry too much about their private life and gently guides the little girl to the dressing room. Lulu keeps on glancing at her daddy hoping that he will change his mind. But Jackson pretends that he cannot see her gaze towards him.

After a few minutes, Lulu steps out of the dressing room while wearing the clothes he personally picked for her. Jackson looks at Lulu and gives her a satisfied nod. As a girl, it is obvious that she likes the color pink the most.

"Daddy, I don't want these clothes!" Lulu whined while hugging his legs.

"But why? It looks good on you." Jackson confidently replied.

"..."

The shop assistant once again refused to say any comment about his fashion sense. Just because his child is a girl doesn't mean she automatically likes the color pink. She doesn't know how to describe the little girl who is wearing bright pink clothes from head to toe. Even her hair accessories are also pink.

"Daddy, I like turtles." Lulu suddenly said.

What she wants to express right now is her eagerness to wear the turtle onesies again. But it is obvious that Jackson didn't understand her at all. Instead, he turns around and chooses a pink glittery backpack to replace her silly-looking bag.

"Ah, really? But I heard the turtle doesn't like you." Jackson casually replied.

Lulu let out an exaggerated gasp. The little girl even copies her mommy every time she hears unexpected news by covering her mouth and making her eyes big. Jackson raised a brow and watch the little girl in amusement.

"Daddy is lying." Lulu said with a pout.

"And why should I lie to you, huh?" Jackson asked with a smile. "If a turtle sees you, they will think you are a monster that will eat them alive."

"Lulu is a cute baby!"

"You are just a baby. But cute? Well, let me think about it for a while."

"...You are bullying me."

"Heh."

Jackson is tired of hiding his true nature in front of this kid. Since she already experienced Nathan's personality for a day, Jackson might as well let this little bun knows the truth that he is not a kind-hearted person who will simply pamper her all the time. And besides, Jackson is thinking that he had already given Lulu a satisfying treatment by feeding her a lot of food earlier.

"Bad daddy." Lulu murmurs to herself. "I even sang you a good song earlier."

"Ah, that? Let me tell you something, Louisa's chibi version. Don't try to sing again in the future."

"But why?"

"You're bad at singing. Really, really bad."

After that, Jackson ignores the betrayed expression on Lulu's face as he walks toward the counter and pays for her clothes.
