For the wait until dawn, and especially as the objectives closest to the front line were hit, Finn watched the House of Golden Blood.
People went in, but no one came out. It seemed like sheer madness, but from everything he'd heard about the Sendan government, madness was in vogue.
Now that he had a long time to just look around, he saw there were flags everywhere. A projection of patriotism he'd only ever seen during parades in Linan. The largest flag was atop the House itself, and the flag could have probably covered an entire handball court. It almost felt cultish, seeing that much red and black everywhere. Large cloths of those colors were draped down the sides of buildings with no discernable purpose.
