The seventh round began with Rui nearly backed into a corner.
Since she'd stopped using her arms, Rui had made herself a smaller target, but being the only target, that wasn't saying much.
Her entire plan, and by now she was confident enough to call it a plan, relied on the Ascendant of Wind continuing to play cautious as Rui gathered and readied as much qi as she could get into her legs. It also relied on pissing her off.
It was times like this she wished she had more skill emitting qi at range like Finn. Even if she wasn't good at managing qi outside her body, she found the best way to keep at it was through small, precise bursts of speed. She relied on her perceptual core to guide herself around, especially when the Wind came at her back, since dodging was basically all she could do for now.
