Let's go to war

Four people were standing in the newly made office for base management,

They were standing inside with serious and dull faces except for one person .Haider who was enjoying eating his chocolate. They all thought about ways to deal with the zombie horde that was about to hit in approximately two hours .

Everyone else in the base was preparing the weapons for the incoming battle.

" The question is why are all of those heading to our direction"The Captain said with a frown,

" That's not the answer to how are we gonna deal with them Captain " Haider replied,

"How about usage of any explosives ? " Mark said ,

" That would bring too much attention to the base " The vice_ Captain replied,

"How about this, we make a supply line from the gas station right next door and make a burning hell in front of the base for our guests " Haider suggested,

" It could work but there is a chance that they will just pass by " The Captain replied ,

" I have a feeling they won't and we can't let go of that many crystals " Haider replied .

" By the way do you have more chocolates ? I would really like to taste one " The Captain said hesitantly,

"Oh these, Yeah I have more. I'll get you a few before the battle"

Haider replied to which the Captain's eyes shone .

Then everyone left the office and Haider went outside the base to make a connection with the gas station along with a worker and a soldier.

The workers made fire throwers connected with a fixed line that were placed on the front single storied shops at the front of the base. The roof had become the main line of defence for the base.

Then the soldiers placed safety wires and roughed up the land between the road and the house then filled it with water to slow down the incoming enemies by the orders of Haider .

Half an hour was left for the zombies and everyone was nervous while maintaining their positions .

Most of the birds went forward in a timely manner to damage the numbers of mutated in the horde and snipers were also firing continuesly to reduce their numbers.

"Here you go Captain " Haider said as he threw two large choclate bars towards the Captain ,

" Thanks "

The Captain replied with shining eyes .

The soldiers that had been assigned with the birds were given the role of support unit where as all other members along with Haider and Captain were standing in the front roof for close combat .

"Are those guy's gonna be okay ?" The Captain said as he looked at the birds slaughtering the mutated ones ,

" Well I guess they will help out alot. I did promise them a few extra gifts for their work " Haider said with a sad expression,

He had to give them the Chocolate cakes due to Flame and Silver telling them about the sweets that Haider had kept for himself inside the refrigirator of his room. It was strike to the heart for Haider.

*Trrrrrr *

The battle had started with the support unit started firing ,The zombie's were now 20 metres away from the front mud trap and the machine guns at the front started to take them down hastily ,

*Halt the fire *

Haider shouted as he jumped along with Pearl and Captain leading six men towards the horde.

'Please be okay'

Bella prayed as she looked at him,

"Don't worry Bella, Pearl has become something more ferocious than the scared little puppy sitting beside you " Monica said as she looked at the dog laying peacefully watching the battle like a movie ,

Haider didn't forced the dog to the battle and told Bella to use him when the zombies got inside the house by any chance .

Meanwhile at the front line lead by Haider :

Haider unsheathed his two long broad sword and started to slash his way into the horde with Flame and Emerald leading the birds to ensure the groups security.

*Swish * Swish *

With each slash two to three zombies fell down ,But the surprising thing to see was not his inhumane actions to go deep inside the horde but the large Tiger like figure that was now cuttingthe mutated ones like a walk in the park ,

It was no other tham Pearl.

Haider fed two crystals to Pearl the other day and She had now grown into the size of a tiger with huge fangs and claws that could pierce steel . She had Silver marking on her back but it was not very dark as compared to the marking that Flame and Emerald had.

She had now the ability to grow spikes at any part of her body that helped to fend of any attack from the mutated .She also grew another tail which was surprising for Haider .

Haider was pleased to see her taking the lead to kill but that also had a price and that was to give some crystals to the egg she was taking care off .

" Haider I think its enough for now let's go back " The Captain shouted ,

"I'll hold the line with Pearl you guys throw the bottles at the back " Haider shouted ,

And after a few minutes roars of pain from the horde could be heard as the Captain along with his men started throwing bottles filled with petrol towards the horde and Flame igniting them and it became numerious small sized fires that took many zombies inside them.

After a while Haider looked at the two birds that we behaving unusual,

' It seems a bit odd but I guess something wrong ' Haider thought as he saw Emerald and Flame throwing attacks at a single angle .

*Fall back *

Haider shouted and left the battle with Pearl and the birds ,

They had cut the numbers of horde by 200 before they reached the last line of the base.

The real battle started now that the base had fallen into a complete state of defense ,

continuously the guns were firing ,

" Captain ready the rockets .We have some new guests " Haider said as he saw a huge three metre tall figure at the back of the horde .

" Support team fire what you have best towards the tall thing at the back " Haider ordered ,

The zombies had now slowed down and were being burned to crisps by the Flame throwers at the front side and the front attack unit was now resting.

The numbers of the zombies had now died down by more 250 and only the last 50 zombies were remaining after three hours of continuous struggle.

But the nervousness of the soldier's didn't go at ease cause the last fifty of them were only mutated ones and were being led by a three metre tall zombie with long nails and crazy flexibility that wasn't possible for its huge size ,the annoying thing was that each of the mutated ones were ready to sacrifice for their leader and its head was not being pierced by any bullet like it was made of metal.

"Haider what's the plan ,should we use the grenades or rockets?" The Captain asked while looking at the monster approaching them.

" Nope I wanna see how does that new one behaves when I slaughter it piece by piece" Haider answered,

Then he ordered the support team to take down the last mutated ones as he jumped and ran toward the leader with Pearl ,Flame and Emerald following him.

* Clang *

Haider's sword clashed with the fangs like nails of the monster , Pearl saw this opportunity and ran to the right side of the zombie and jumped

*Swish *

She slashed the zombies abdomen with her claw,

*Grrrraawwww*

The zombie roared in pain, upon closer look the zombie had metallic like skin on its legs, chest and head and had huge claws but was rather fast despite his large size.

Flame and Emerald attacked it's uncovered neck from the back

* BAM*

The huge three metre tall figure fell down , Haider took out his walkie talkie,

" Hey Captain tell the soldiers to come here and drag this body inside the base "

Then after a while soldiers arrived in a vehicle with workers and started to gather the bodies of the zombies along with collecting the crystals inside the mutated ones . Everyone helped in the process while the air unit consisting of the birds took care of the zombies that were approaching them .They gathered the dead zombies at a single place and burned them all.

6 pm dusk fifth day :

The zombie horde had been cleared out without any casualties which made the soldiers happy.

The Captain was now reporting to the main base about their findings while the others were resting after a full day war .

" So Captain you know him through battle now tell me how much is he important to the base " A rugged voice sounded over the satellite phone,

" I've told you everything I know Sir " The Captain answered ,

" Okay and what do you think Emily ? " The voice sounded again,

" He's a crazy warlock and an excellent leader he's our only hope for now Father " Emily answered ,

" Okay I'll send a platoon in two days I found them in the mall located at the north of the base with two doctors and a professor, Tell him as soon as possible " The voice answered and the phone call ended ,

Inside Haiders room :

' Hey pearl do you think they came for the Baby '

Haider said,

* meow*

Pearl answered ,

"Yeah we need to know what it is " Haider said and placed a dozen more crystals ,

He arranged the crystals and gave one each to the birds and two to Flame and Emerald.

He also gave three to the dog that Bella had named Wolfie , cause he was a Siberian husky, he looked a lot like a wolf .

He was also interested in the egg and sat near it with Pearl .

All the birds in the night now rested in his room due to having a direct view through the window and of their interest in the glowing egg placed at the centre of the room .Silver and Ivy along with snow made a nest for the egg which was now contained in a glass container along with the crystals .

" Hey Haider ,Captains calling "

Mark approached Haider ,

They went to the office at the second floor and the meeting startded with a joyful mood along with several soldiers and Bella and Monica.

Haider was now almost empty of his sweet supply due to the birds but gave a treat to everyone at the base with the remaining stock . He also took two large cakes to the meeting to celebrate a little .

The meeting started with the loot of today's battle. A third of the crystals were given to the birds and the second part was given to everyone at the base with the soldiers receiving twice along with Haider's group.

A total of 100 crystals were looted and 20 were left in the vault of the base .

Haider and Captain decided upon the final matters about the arriving platoon and their new dwellings. They decided to use two more houses located at the side of the current dwelling of the soldiers at the back side as the coming team was now bigger than the last one.

" Two doctors and a researcher are also coming " The Captain added.

"Sure I was guessing I needed some help to take care of the Alpha three "Haider replied as he named the monster they faced Alpha three.

" And Yeah Captain we're out of sweets and I'm gonna take a group to 5 km the east of the base to loot as the vehicle that the workers were handling is now fully functional " Haider added ,

" Oh ,If the platoon wasn't arriving I would also have joined " The Captain replied with a sad expression as he wanted to take a part of loot for the chocolates.

Everyone went to sleep after the meeting with satisfied faces but there was one couple that was making the room filled with moans ,

"Take it easy, It was a hard day" Bella said,

" Not for this guy " Haider replied and went on until midnight .

Then he went out to drink some water after Bella had slept ,

" It was busy night i guess I wonder if i could take one too " Monica smiled as she was already inside the kitchen .

" Let's talk about that later what's the report " Haider answered ,

" There fine for now " Monica answered and left .

' They should he if they wanna live here '
