The two of them were practically glued together. Avery looked at them and a strange thought rose in her mind. "Why wasn't I and Lucas like this? " She remembered when she knew she was his mate, was when Graves went to him. Or was it because she could smell the scent of mate like other werebeats?

She turned to Lucas, with a thoughtful gaze, "But he's a werewolf, he was supposed to know instantly she was his mate the first time they met."

Lucas who was thinking about how to break up Kade and Alex felt his heart skip a beat for no reason, and his back broke out in sweat.
