A Side Character’s Pov

[I'm so proud of you. I'll treat you to your favorite dish when I get home.]

Liam smiled as he looked at the message on his phone and he stretched as he got off of bed.

"Glad that I scored highest in the class. This would really make mum happy," Liam said to himself as he held his test results in his hands, scoring all A's.

'She even went with the others to hang out.' Liam thought with a sigh.

Mira, who was his best friend, also went to hang out with the other classmates as all the members of their study group passed the test.

"Well, that novel should have been updated by now." He sighed tiredly and opened up an application on his phone.

In excitement, he tapped the new chapter and begun to read. Liam suddenly had a shocked and confused expression.

[Congrats. You're the first person the load the newest chapter of Blade master's legacy. Due to the author passing away so early, were sorry to say that the book can't be completed.

Who knows? You might give it a better ending. Or even give us a better story.]

'What the hell is this?' Liam frowned and then he felt sad and angry at the same time.

'Damn. And it was nearing the climax of the book.' Liam sat up on his bed, looking sad.

"What do I do now? Argh, I feel frustrated." Liam mumbled as he stood up, grabbing a jacket and leaving the house.

He contemplated what to get his mum as she would be tired when she gets back.

"HEYYY!! GET OUT OF THE WAY!!!"

Liam looked sideways in panic as he heard a voice and he saw a garbage truck coming towards him with full speed and he tried to run but fell down instead, his legs were weak.

All of a sudden his world went black...

In the plane that exists beyond reality, a frail boy floated amongst the stars. This boy had a smooth scalp, and he was very thin.

Liam opened his eyes to see himself floating amongst the stars. He furrowed his brows as he looked around, clearly confused by what was happening.

'Where am I? The last thing I remember was...' Liam's eyes widened as he remembered being hit by a truck as he was taking a stroll oit of his house.

Liam gasped as the scene of being hit by the truck flashed before him and he looked forward at his current unknown location.

The stars there shined brightly and they all let out humming sounds as they radiated light.

"Well, I guess that's that."

Liam looked around in panic as he heard a voice echo in the space he was and in that moment, a light flashed before him, and a man appeared, floating towards him.

The man had very long, black hair which went below his buttocks and he had beautiful and flawless skin, along with the most beautiful pair of dark eyes he has ever seen. This man wore a cloak while holding a scythe, and he came towards Liam.

"What the hell is going on?" Liam looked confused, scared, and he was panicking.

'How the hell did this guy just appear out of nowhere? It's just a dream, it's a dream, it's a dream.'

"Unfortunately, poor soul, it's not a dream. Now be calm." The man snapped his fingers and Liam suddenly felt calm.

'Hm?' Liam looked at the being in front of him from head to toe.

"What's going on?" Liam asked in a calm tone, and the being smirked.

"Well, you died, and now I'm about to send you off to the void. However, the boss seems to want to gift you with a wish before you get sent away." The being said, looking at Liam with the same smirk.

"What... Who are you?" Liam asked as he couldn't hold back his curiosity.

"Me? I am death..."

...

"Is that really what you wish for, mortal?" Death asked as he looked at Liam with worry.

"Yes. I... I regret not being able to repay her for the good she's done for me." Liam said and then Death nodded his head.

"I was expecting you to just say you want to be reincarnated since you read a lot of fiction. But I understand..." Death said with a nod and closed his eyes.

He then snapped his finger and nodded.

"I erased your existence from the earth. You should have asked to come back to life, but I wouldn't have been able to do that since I don't have that power." The handsome being in front of Liam said and then he stretched his hand towards Liam.

"Well, goodbye-"

*GRRRRRR!!!*

The entire space shook, making Liam and both the God raise their brows. Both still looked calm.

"Well, seems like He still has other plans for you." Death said before he vanished, turning into ashes before dissapearing completely.

"What?" Liam looked up and a sense of panic came up on him as a large hand which was even bigger than a mountain came towards him and grabbed him.

In a forest with trees even taller than what was normal in earth, a shelter which was made out of wood stood tall, despite the raging storms.

Within that shelter, a young boy laid on a bed made out of wood and sheep skin. He seemed to have an injury on his head and he opened his eyes and gazed around with a raised brow.

'Did... Did he bring me back to life?' The boy thought to himself as he sat up on the bed.

"Lay back down son. Your wounds aren't fully healed." A horse voice came from the opposite direction of the bed and that was when Liam looked to see an old man setting up a fire.

It then dawned on him. Liam observed the surrounding. The house they resided in seem to be made out of something like hardened clay and wood. By the noise going on outside, Liam wondered how this house could still be standing.

All of a sudden, his head throbbed in pain and he let out a cry as he collapsed back on the bed, going unconscious from the pain.

"Sigh... I told that boy to relax." The old man's voice came again and he stood up, revealing his muscular body which was undeserving of his age.

His white hair and beards made him look old, he had scars on his forehead and cheek and he carried the boy who collapsed in a weird position and placed him properly on the bed.

...

It has been several hours since Liam fell asleep. He was awake now and was outside the shelter, observing the surroundings.

'So I'm now in the body of a kid. At least he's healthy.' He smiled. He had beautiful purple eyes and clean, short black hair, coupled with the cute face of a child.

'Of all things, I had to be reincarnated in the world of that novel.' Liam had a bitter smile on his face as he looked at the forever, dark clouded sky, he would never be able to have a normal life from now on.
