36. The Main character, Vernox Raphael.

Julius smiled as the silver haired girl was suddenly in front of him and he was close to her in height.

"What is she doing?" The students began to mummur amongst themselves and Sasha walked towards them.

"It's been a while, Seraphina," Julius said to her with a smile and she leaned towards him and wrapped her arms around him.

"You came like you said you would, Julius," She said with a smile and Julius marveled in the feeling of hearing his name from her mouth.

"Julius! Do you guys know each other?" Sasha suddenly came and Julius let go of Seraphina and Sasha pulled him in for a hug of her own.

"How do you know my brother?" Sasha asked with a frown and Seraphina only stared at her blankly.

"...why do you want to know?"

"Tsk..." Sasha gritted her teeth at Seraphina and Julius let her go too.

The students that were around were shocked. Not because the princess hugged this weird boy but Seraphina?

"I thought Seraphina doesn't talk at all."

"What the hell is happening?"

"Who's the boy?"

"He apparently just walked in and received a hug from both Seraphina and Sasha."

The students were all talking and then Sasha smiled at her brother.

"How was an entire year without me?" She asked and Seraphina wrapped an arm around one of his, catching him off guard.

Aria jumped on Sasha's shoulder and a beautiful blue bird flew around her, catching Aria's attention.

"It seems Aria has been doing well without me," Sasha said as he petted Aria and Julius smiled as he looked around.

In the distance from where Sasha came from, he saw another boy in the same red and black uniform walking towards them and he frowned.

'Shirt black hair, pointed nose, fair skin, and eyes that look like gold.' He thought to himself and then he observed the boy.

"Sasha's brother?" He asked and Julius nodded as he looked at this boy's face.

"And you are?" Julius asked.

"Vernox. Vernox Raphael..." The boy said and Julius swallowed his spit as he was getting a special feeling from him.

There was one thing that makes stories interesting and that was the main character of each book. And the main character of this book was Vernox Raphael of the demon kingdom the one that stood before Julius right now.

After that scene they all went to a cafeteria to eat and Seraphina sat beside him. She was very uncomfortable with the two extra people with them.

Noticing this Julius couldn't help but smile at her behavior.

"It's nice to see you sis," Julius said as he quietly ate and then Seraphina couldn't help but keep staring at his face in silence.

Aria walked around the table and Vernox raised a brow as he saw the little creature.

"You have a bond? Even your sister too." Vernox was slightly shocked.

It was not a simple matter to form a bond with a magical beast even if it sounds easy. The person must be compatible with the creature.

It's too rare to even obtain a heaven grade beast egg so he was slightly shocked.

After the time at the cafeteria Julius watched his sister and Vernox walk away and Sasha gave Seraphina a death glare and Seraphina only stared at her.

"I noticed you have been a bit uncomfortable in their presence. How are you, Seraphina?" He asked, turning back to her and he looked into her eyes.

"I was indeed able to grow stronger at the academy like you said. It has been a little bit hard to cope with the people around me but I'm trying," She said and then she looked at him.

"I missed you. Also, now that you're here, there's something I want to tell you," She said to him and Julius nodded to her.

"Marry me."

Her words turned Julius off and he instantly thought that he was dreaming. He shook his head and looked at her again.

"I saw a lot of people doing it in second years. I wouldn't mind spending the rest of my life with the one who saved me," She said again and Julius could only chuckle to himself.

'So that's how she feels huh?' He thought.

Seraphina most likely felt indebted to him. She owed him her life after all, so maybe she was offering herself to him, not out of feelings...

"Not now. I like you very much, but not now." Julius put a finger on her chin and then he turned around.

"Why don't we take a stroll and tell me all about what has happened since we parted ways?" He said to her and a subtle smile creeped up on her face.

After they both separated Seraphina was able to go back to the demon castle. She was the first daughter of the demon king and one that got missing and when she was found her father celebrated.

They wanted to go and find her kidnappers but she had to lie that she didn't know who they were as per Julius' request.

She managed to unlock her innate element and demonic talent as a high demon from the demon family.

And she has been steadily number 1 since she entered the school, with Vernox being number 2.

"I'm not surprised that you've been number 1 though. You're going to graduate soon, and you're in second year, so I won't have time to come see you anytime soon. But I'll always come once a month," Julius said to her and she smiled.

Looking at her he couldn't help but find her adorable. Sometimes she was cold, sometimes she was not. And the smile on her face made his heart flutter.

'Calm down Julius. You have to take this slowly.' He controlled himself and then he held her hand.

"You can sing right?"

Seraphina's eyes went wide open as she heard that from his mouth and she frowned at him.

"H–how did you know?" She asked him in shock, confusion, and embarrassment.

"Don't worry. I would love to hear you sing one day. Just know that if you ever need anyone to talk to I'm in the first years area," He said to her and she nodded before they parted ways.

She turned back to look at him as she wondered how he would even know about her Hobby.
