27. Leaving for Midgard academy

One year.

It was finally a year. Julius panted as he struck at the metallic dummies in his yard. He ran through them, waving his sword in such awkward but precise directions.

All thirty dummies fell within a minute!

Julius looked back at Ray, who monitored his progress.

"Although the movement technique that you use belongs to me, it might not be suited for you when your Mana and Aura are in sync. So until then, that movement technique can be your trump card in situations," Ray said to Julius, who only stretched before walking towards Ray.

His hair was long now. It had been a long while since he cut his hair, and he let it grow naturally. He had developed muscles, and his six-pack abs could be seen through his white shirt as he was sweating.

"I'm finally leaving today," Julius said as he looked at Ray.

From the side, Aria ran towards him, wagging her tail, and he carried her in his arms.

*"Brother is working hard! Aria also wants to grow strong!"*

"Hahaha... Don't worry, where we're going, you'll have the opportunity to grow to your fullest," Julius said, and the cute wolf cuddled in his arms.

"I'm going to take a bath," Julius said and left the garden with Aria in his hands.

He went towards his room and entered another separate room. There was a short staircase that led to a circular pool.

He sat inside, and Aria happily jumped into the pool.

The entire bathroom was lit with blue crystal lights, even inside the pool too.

Julius submerged himself in the pool after getting undressed. The cold water cooling his body gave him a feeling of relief, and he soon came out.

'Aria. If I can train her to her full potential, and with her inherited knowledge of techniques, it'll be a game-changer,' he thought as he relaxed and looked at his status.

'The reverse step movement that Ray taught me will be beneficial to me. I'll definitely have more opportunities to learn better techniques in the future,' Julius thought, relaxing.

He was going to leave for Midgard Academy today. His triplet brothers were also going with him.

'Well, Anna and Caster have become master seekers. I have two years to complete my own training at the academy.' Julius proceeded to rest.

After about twenty minutes, a knock was heard on the bathroom door, and Alexa stepped in.

"Your highness, a special envoy from the academy has come to pick you up," she said to him, and his eyes opened as he glanced at her.

"I thought they wouldn't be arriving for hours. I'll get dressed quickly," Julius said to her, and she left.

He quickly left the bathroom and got ready.

Outside of the castle was a golden carriage that seemed very fancy. There were white horses with horns tied to the carriage.

In front of the carriage was a man dressed in decent clothing with a hat, and in front of the door was a single man wearing a black combat uniform with a long sword on his back.

Julius came down with Aria still on his shoulder, looking around with curiosity.

As Julius hurriedly headed to the carriage, he couldn't help but notice Aria looking around, and he smiled as he remembered that she had never been out of the castle before today.

By the side, he saw Ray and Alexa, who were there to wave him goodbye, and then a pressure descended upon the environment.

Julius saw his mother stepping out of the castle with a smile on her face. He smiled as he walked towards her, and she embraced him tightly.

"You better not get into trouble while you're there. I'm gonna be worried sick," Margaret held him tightly.

"It's okay, Mom, I'm going to come out as the strongest," Julius said to her, and she only hugged him tighter.

Of course, he wasn't lying when he said he was going to come out as the strongest. Unless there was another character he didn't know about.

It was weird for the people around, seeing such a powerful and well-known figure hugging her son so lovingly.

After a while, Margaret only gave him a few warnings, and they were ready to depart.

He stepped into the carriage and saw his triplet siblings were already there.

"Oh, hey," Julius only greeted them, and then he sat on one side of the carriage with River while Cedar and Rowan stayed on the other side.

They rode in silence.

Inside the carriage were just little crystals on the ceiling, which lit up the place. There was a table between both sides which faced each other, and Julius rested his arm on the window as he stared outside.

"Hey, Julius."

"Hm?" The white-haired boy turned to his side to see River looking at him.

"Do you know about the test we'll take before we enter the academy?" River asked him, and Cedar and Rowan stared at them.

"Yes, I know about the test," Julius said as he nodded at River, and the red-haired boy smiled.

"Good, let's work hard and make it in," River said with a smile, and Rowan and Cedar were confused.

"It's fate for us to fall at the other's hands. To be honest, the first brother already has a high chance of succeeding the throne. Being enemies with Julius would only be disadvantageous for us," River said, and Julius looked at them.

"I have no interest in the throne. Caster can have it," Julius said too, and Rowan sighed.

"Well, elder brother Caster is really strong. It's just a two-year education; I bet we'll all survive," Rowan said, and Cedar only kept quiet, his hand crossed.

The journey to the academy took an entire week. They took a lot of breaks and rested in between, and finally, they arrived.

Julius and his brothers came down from the carriage and looked up to see a huge floating island.

"Woah! How high is that?!" Cedar couldn't control his bewilderment.

The knight that was with them stood and then waved his hand in front of him, and all the princes suddenly floated upwards towards the island.
