Origin and Alice’s choice

Cain having to take a second to process turned in to his fox form and went to lay under a nearby tree as he waited for them to come back. One could still see a look of pain and great worry in his eyes as he slowly closed them trying to calm himself.

Appearing in the house Ana walked over to the couch pulling Alice gently behind her. After sitting down and taking a deep breath Ana started. "I know you don't want to share him. I really don't want to share him as well. I've been around for a very long time before this universe was even a hint of a thought. I spent a very long time alone." She had a hint of sorrow in her eyes.

Looking up to Alice's eyes she saw a look of understanding in them. All though it's to a lesser extent she understood being alone. "I spent millennia alone in the void doing my job as the goddess of life making new life all over the multiverse my job never ending as it was ever expanding. Until one day my brother the Great God of Law (not just judicial things like gravity and light as well. Basically he defines how the multiverse functions.) decided since our father could create us why couldn't we create lower gods to take care of most of our work for us. So he started making more gods using a small amount of power to make large amount of workers for us."

Letting out another sigh Ana continued. "I was grateful at first life became even more monotonous. With nothing to do I would take naps for centuries only to awaken to make sure my new subordinates had everything running smoothly. I had until that point never made my own lower god. Then one day I thought what if I made child using my ability to make lower gods. Unlike my brother during the creation of Cain I put nearly all of my force in to making him. The more focus I put in to his creation the happier I felt the more fun I had. I no longer felt alone. I wasn't alone I had him." Ana had a warm look in her eye that could only be described as motherly.

Seeing Alice's attentive gaze she couldn't help smiling at her while continuing. "I spent such a long time poring my energy in to him he eventually surpassed me in power. As he surpassed me in power before even beginning his life my powers couldn't hold him together as his life force started to fade. Panicking I quickly appeared in front of my father tears on my face coughing blood from the strain of holding him together. I begged my father to save him even if he couldn't save me in the process. Cain was my everything without him I didn't want to exist." Ana had tears streaming down her face as if she was in front of her father again begging him.

While wiping her eyes Alice put a hand on her arm to comfort her. "Thanks, my father was surprised to see me in such a situation checking on my condition he was shocked. Using limited powers over a long period of time I made Cain something that shocked even him. He quickly agreed to help after stabilizing me and Cain my father told me that Cain would die if things continued the way they were heading regardless of his input Cain had grown to strong. The only way to save Cain was for father to shave part of his powers off permanently to save Cain. But he said Cain would no longer be my son and that in the future we would be more and I wouldn't be alone."

Ana looked at Alice. "Because of my father's input Cain became a existence only rivaled by my father the origin of everything. But because of that his powers became unstable so we sealed them and he was born as a normal person. When Cain was born it was like he took my soul with him. He was my everything I would do anything to see him smile." Alice nodded knowing exactly how it felt. How she feels towards him is exactly that it's just her jealousy took over causing her to feel rage when Cain came clean.

"Cain was a warm little boy always wanting to be held no matter what was going on around him. Then one day while I was cleaning up another gods mess I came back to see him missing. No matter how I looked I couldn't find him so I went to my father to ask him to search for him. But to my surprise he refused saying Cain had awoken partially teleporting himself to another dimension and that he would learn many things there without my support that would help him in the future. I was outraged and scared I was alone again. He was my everything and he was gone the only solace I had was that he was safe. Ignoring my father's advice I started searching dimension by dimension for him the pain in my heart ever present. Until one day his powers fully awoke and I could feel him again. Upon finding him I saw he had grown to what you see him as today. But the moment I looked into his eyes when he awoke I realized what my father meant. I was his as he was mine bound forever as lovers and I wouldn't be the only one." Finished she whipped the remaining tears from her eyes as she looked at Alice with a complicated light.

Alice was surprised by the woman in front of her. She felt things were already bad enough for her but but Ana had suffered far longer in silence till Cain came into her life for him to be ripped from her. Seeing Alice's daze Ana couldn't help saying. "As much as I don't want to share him, it would kill him to be away from you far more. Never mind the option of him basically killing himself to make you happy the other option is far worse in my opinion yes you would be happy in the true way this world is supposed to be you find another mate and are happy with life. However even if you live your life with the other person and forget him, Cain would still remember you and be watching over you to make sure you are safe and happy."

Ana had tears in her eyes. Having experience life with our Cain for a short time she couldn't imagine dealing with that for all eternity. "Please don't make Cain go through all that suffering. Stay with us become our family. I don't think I could take seeing him like that. I don't care about anything else just don't make him suffer." Ana was full out balling by this point. Alice embrace Ana to comfort her while patting her back.

After a while Ana calmed down while Alice thought about what she said. She couldn't make him suffer for her own selfish whim because of something he had no control over. Not to mention she loved him as much as he loved her. So pulling away from Ana and looking her in the eye she said. "We will be a family I can't do that to him. Let alone imagine life without him. But I do know he now owes me one hell of a date to make it up." Causing both of them to chuckle.
