50 Edgar's Power

Raphael walked in Rothe's office after knocking the door twice.

"You called?"

Raphael asked as he closed the door behind him. Rothe put down the papers to his desk and looked over at Raphael with a serious look. This is not Rothe's usual expression. His expression is usually stoic, expressionless.

But right now, Rothe looked troubled.

"... It's about Ezra,"

"..."

When it comes to Ezra, Raphael became anxious. He walked over closer and stood right in front of Rothe's desk.

"Ezra... He's ten years old now,"

"Yes,"

"... He grew older,"

"... Yes?"

"In three years, he'll attend school,"

"..." Raphael slightly frowned.

They've been keeping Ezra for five years in the mansion ever since the accident. They even restricted the number of visitations in the mansion because they're worried about Ezra's safety. But Ezra is growing older and stronger; he always informed his father about his army that's been growing in number.

"I know you're worried," Raphael started. "I do too, father. But seeing his ability to control his power flawlessly as a Coordinator, and the number of demons he had gathered, I began to feel relieved... And I hope you do too,"

"I understand," Rothe sighed. "I'm thinking of forbidding him to go to school, like Juno. But ... He said that he wanted to go to school because he wanted to meet lots of people, having friends, and adventure. I can't say no to his request. But he'll be on his own for three years,"

"He has his demons," Raphael said.

"..."

Rothe only massaged his temple as a response. Raphael understood Rothe's worries.

"Is it because of Laizar?"

"... Yes. Not even Sylvester and Christopher could locate that man for five years. He's still lurking around. I know Ezra has gotten stronger, but I can't help but worry,"

"Then, should we send someone to look after him?" Raphael asked.

Rothe raised one of his eyebrows. "A spy?"

"Yes,"

"Juno?"

"Juno has to stay by your side, father," Raphael slightly smiled. "I'm talking about Arden Calderon,"

Rothe raised one of his eyebrows. Then his face relaxed a little.

"Hm... I suppose"

"Should I contact him today?"

"Yes. Please tell him everything,"

"Alright, father,"

A giant brown-feathered bird flew through the sky. Two large wings fluttered, creating a great force of wind around it. The size of this magnificent bird is twice as big as an elephant. People who saw the bird from the ground could only point at ti and scream in terror.

The bird flew lower into the ground. A red light started to emerge around its body as the bird landed in the middle of a forest, near the Conover's house. The red light disappeared in an instant.

Juno is standing on the front entrance of the forest with his arms crossed.

Edgar, covered in leaves and dirt walked up to him. A huge grin formed on his handsome face.

"Ah, Juno, my brother. Are you waiting for me?"

Juno sighed. "Yes. Christopher wanted all of us brothers to gather in Ezra's room tonight,"

"Eh? why?" Edgar raised one of his eyebrows in confusion.

"To celebrate his one hundred demons,"
