51 One Hundred Demons

Three more years until I go to school. I am now a ten-year-old boy, who's been stuck in this mansion for five whole years since the accident.

I think mushrooms are starting to grow on the top of my head.

I'm so sick of not being able to go outside! I haven't even gone to the city yet!

To prove my family that I can defend myself, I got even more determined to become stronger. I started training on how to wield a sword, practice sparring with the twins, and meditating to make my demons stronger.

... I've been meditating nonstop for five years.

Fortunately, nothing terrible happened for the past five years. Arden is safe and healthy, living with his mom in a new residence that father prepared. My brothers, of course, grew up as handsome bachelors.

Oh boy, they started to receive a lot of letters from noble ladies.

And men.

"Little master, today's report regarding the army,"

Io suddenly appeared beside me.

I looked up to him, then pouted. "Ugh, boring reports,"

"You're the one who asked for daily report five years ago, little master. I simply just doing my duty," Io smirked.

He's enjoying this too much.

And yes, five years ago, when I'm so fired up to become stronger, I asked Io to give me a daily report about my demons. That time is not that troublesome since I only have Callisto, Pyumo, and Io.

Now I have a hundred.

A hundred demons that Callisto and Io gathered for the past five years.

Unfortunately, they haven't found any descendants of the seven sins yet. But they gathered low-leveled demons that I need to do simple tasks. And mid-leveled demons that work as soldiers.

Christoper told me everything about demons' ranks. High-leveled demons like Io and Callisto aren't supposed to be summoned for easy tasks. They're my ace cards. But I got used to summoning Io to do the simplest job.

And I just realized that low-leveled demons required a lot of energy to turn into a human version. So they're always in their demonic version. They looked like goblins, centaurs, or lizardmen. Then the mid-leveled demons are a bunch of hybrids: lion-headed men, or men with wings or ears.

Overall, they're all useful.

I'm so confident now that I have a lot of demons.

Nothing can stop me!

I waited for Io to finish his report, and once he did, he disappeared. I sighed and lay down on my bed.

"Finally, some peace and quiet...,"

Bang!

"Ezra!"

"... I spoke too soon," I muttered irritatedly.

The twins...

They're sixteen, graduated from school, and still acting like daredevils.

Sehan and Leorys jumped on my bed and started to crush- no, hug me.

"Congratulations!"

The two of them shouted.

Congratulations? For what?!

Is it my birthday? No, my birthday was two days ago!

"F-For what?" I asked with my eyebrows furrowed.

"For becoming a powerful little angel,"

Christopher, Juno, and Edgar walked into the room. Christopher smiled lovingly at me. I smiled at them.

"Oh, thank you!"

That's right. I have one hundred demons. That's quite an achievement.

"Little buddy has gotten so old, ugh. You won't even allow us to pick you up anymore," Edgar whined as he plopped himself on the bed.

"You can pick me up," I said.

Edgar blinked and looked at me with hopeful eyes. "Really?"

"If you tell me your power,"

"..."

"You haven't told him?"

It was Sylvester's voice. He's walking in with Raphael behind him.

"Pfft, why you never told Ezra your power?" Sehan laughed.

"You're so weird, Edgar," Leorys pointed out. Juno nodded his head in agreement.

Edgar grinned. "I love a little mystery,"

"But I'm so curious! It's been ten years!" I pounced on him and started to pinch his arms. He laughed hysterically.

Raphael takes a seat on an empty chair next to my bed while letting out a sigh.

"I'm not sure why you're hiding your power to Ezra,"

"To tease him?" Christopher asked curiously.

"Exactly," Edgar gave Christopher a thumbs up.

I want to hit Edgar's handsome face.

"It'll be a brilliant idea to reveal your power as Ezra's reward for his success in gathering a hundred demons," Sylvester chuckled softly.

"Yeah!" I exclaimed happily.

Sehan and Leorys looked at each other. Then they looked at me with a sly grin on their faces.

"Maybe you can guess?" Leorys asked.

"Guess... Hmm," I started to think.

To be honest, for all of these years, I never see Edgar doing anything.

"Being very good at fooling around?" I guessed.

"Hey!" Edgar pinched my cheek.

"Close enough," Christopher joked. Sylvester only chuckled.

"Nope, come on, think again," Sehan said.

"... I don't know! Please just tell me!" I whined.

Edgar started to sit down on the bed and cleared his throat. I looked at him with sparkling eyes.

"... I'm a bird,"

"..."

"..."

"... I'll hit you in the crotch if you tell me that you're actually a useless tiny hummingbird," I muttered.

Christopher muffled his laughter.

"No! Not a hummingbird!" Edgar exclaimed. "I turned into Roc!"

"What's that?" I tilted my head to the side.

Sylvester smiled at me. "Roc is a giant bird that is so huge. It can carry two elephants with ease,"

"... But, if there's a bird that big how come I never see it?"

"You're just unlucky for not spotting me, little bud," Edgar said casually.

I looked at Edgar, and he's only smiling at me innocently.

In the end, because I couldn't believe his words. So all of us walked out of the balcony, and I watch Edgar jumped off the balcony and turned into a giant bird that's bigger than Pyumo.

The happiness I felt is overwhelming that I kissed my brothers' cheeks while crying.
