12 Hide And Seek With Earth Lizard

I don't know why, but it seems my luck today is surging. One after another, unexpected beasts keep arriving in front of me, with their own initiative. 

First, a Mutant Rock Lizard. I don't even know about its existence, yet it came in front of me which made me gain unexpected rewards. After which, one more powerful beast with the same kind appeared. Just like the other one, they have the same goal, to revenge, of course. 

'Tehe! If it isn't luck, what is it?' I snicker as I think about it. 

With the newly arrived figure's silent but cool intro, it is a lie if I say I am not bewildered. My eyes sparkles in delight; excited about what would happen and what I could gain from this unexpected meeting. Although this figure is here for revenge, I don't feel any slightest fear, but I wish to fight it as soon as possible.  

As my thoughts wander, my eyes also start to examine the figure. The figure is still a lizard, but this time, it looks more ferocious and powerful. The figure doesn't look like a normal lizard, more like a modo dragon. Its face is long and it has a snake-like tongue that can be seen in and out of his mouth. 

Because its body is made of stone, you may even doubt that it is a modo dragon's sculpture. However, I already saw many rock lizards to feel foreign to this common feature of them. 

I shift my eyes and look at its arm. Its broad shoulder has many spikes that make me feel like it can penetrate even a tough armor or shield. After which, you can see his killer claws that are as sharp as a sword.

It has a long whip-like tail that has a length of meters. At the point of its tail is an oval rock also full of spikes. 

Hiss~

It hisses as it watches me. I don't move even an inch for a reason. 'I want to have such cool form, rather than being a mouse or a cute fish. ' I think. 'I also want to be a cool beast.' I add. 'Tehe!' (By the way, Tehe is a laugh)

Hissss~ 

Amidst the silence, the hissing sound becomes louder. 

I get awakened from my own fantasy and watch as the other party finally moves. 

It seems the other party doesn't want me to live longer anymore. With a big step, as if it doesn't have a huge body that is full of fat and calories, it hopped in the air without difficulty and raised its claws midair to attack me.

Of course, I won't let it hurt me. The pain I felt and the faint pain that still lingering in my flesh is enough. No need for further damage. 

Knowing the extent of my own power, I know that I can defeat this Earth Lizard within just a matter of time. After all, I am already at the beginner stage of Mortal Martial Cultivation Level (*1). While on the other hand, a Lizard race is known for its weak mastery when it came to cultivation: they could only reach Tier Nine as max (The limit of their bloodline).

For easier explanation, its cool-built body structure is only for show. Just to make themselves look so scary and cool, but in truth, they are merely hiding in a shell like a snail. 

However, because low-level beasts also meant low-level intelligence, some beasts are crawling away once they see them. Effective, nonetheless. 'I can't believe I got damaged by a weakling like them a few minutes ago!' 

Nevertheless, it isn't the time to regret something. I shake my head and clear all the useless thoughts. 

Looking at the upcoming attack of the earth lizard with its claw that transformed from a sharp claw into an oval rock covered with spikes, I can feel its intention to turn me into a loaf. 

However, that won't happen. When the palm is about to land on my head, with the speed of the light, I activate the skill fire slash and wave it towards its way to counter. 

Although I am like a baby size compared to the earth lizard, strength is always important. Height is always just third. With power, I know it can't hurt me.  

'Not because I am smaller, it means I am weaker!' I snicker as I think. 

'I don't think this attack could even scratch me!' I add, arrogantly. 

Boom* 

When the two attacks crash, an enormous force escapes and a stir explosion occurs. The place becomes a battlefield as soon as the attacks meet with each other. 

Because the power that I inserted in that attack just now isn't my full prowess, but just par with the enemy, not one of us died. 

'Not bad for a lizard. With its power like this, it will be a bit entertaining' I assess. 

[Mmm] 

'What do you want, system?!'

Because of the exchange attack, both of us get sent flying. However, the first one who regains balance and stands up is, of course, me. Not surprising. 

After picking myself up from the ground, I turn around and look at the earth lizard that got thrown away for about six meters and stuck on the ground: moaning in pain as it tried to stand up. 

I am about to attack again, but I halt a few meters away from it. I remember the skill that I want to test. "Hidden"

Thinking of this, I don't stay idle and give commands. "Hidden, Activated! " Less the enemy gets released and it will be late because it will attack me and distract me again. 

With the activation of the skill, my body once again turns lighter and like the skill "Shadow Move", I feel like my body becomes one with nature, as if in a mist, I suddenly turn invisible and free than usual.

Unfortunately, if I try to step forward, I would still create a sound. 'Does this also mean that my smell is also visible?!' My eyebrows knit as I think. 

Nevertheless, although that's the case, that means I will stop testing it already. I'll just stand here and wait for the lizard to find me. Without moving, I won't create noise. 

'Let's see if this skill is as great as I am expecting, or if it is a disappointment. ' I think. 

A few minutes later, the dust calms down and the earth lizard finally releases itself. 

For some reason, this is so funny that I cannot help but make a faint laugh. 

Fortunately, the earth lizard didn't hear me.

With the in and out like a snake tongue of the Earth Lizard, it hisss as it looks for my whereabouts. 

'I guess it's now frustrated!' I want to laugh, but of course, seeing that it's vigilant is too high at the moment, it won't be a good idea. I suppress the laughter as I watch it. 

It seems the hide and seek game starts.
