In the end, Xu Yue spent an entire year using her full power to search for the things that were attracting her, only to come out empty-handed.
"I guess I'm not powerful enough to find these things right now..." mumbled Xu Yue as she stared at the Endless Void around her.
A few moments after saying that, Xu Yue finally shook her head, stopped her fruitless search and turned her attention onto more important things.
As she turned her head back and stared at the Three Thousand Regions, which now appeared tiny within this Endless Void full of darkness, Xu Yue couldn't help but let out a faint sigh, causing her to suddenly begin moving.
Although Xu Yue had gone very far out into the Endless Void, so far out that mortals wouldn't be able to sense the Three Thousand Regions if they were in her current location, and would probably become lost in the Void, it took her just five hours to finally come back to the Three Thousand Regions, where someone was now waiting for you.
...
"I didn't expect you to wait an entire year for me to come back with how busy you usually are," said Xu Yue as she stared at Xu Lanfeng, who was currently also staring at her.
Right now Xu Yue had shrunken her body down to the size of a normal human, as such, Xu Lanfeng was able to get a very good look at her.
"Curious, you've not changed much from the outside, at least compared to the other True Immortals that I've seen, as for that, what could be more important right now than greeting the new True Immortal of the Sect," said Xu Lanfeng as she continued examining her descendant.
Whilst Xu Lanfeng was examining Xu Yue, the newly ascended True Immortal was doing the same to her ancestor, causing her to become a bit surprised.
In essence, Xu Lanfeng's raw power was not that much greater than that of other False Immortals that Xu Yue had seen, instead, as Xu Yue's Immortal eyes passed over the existence of her ancestor, a slightly surprised look couldn't help but appear on her face.
Even before ascending, Xu Yue actually had a bit more raw power than Xu Lanfeng, and right now could probably annihilate the other party's body with just a touch, if she wished so.
Instead, Xu Lanfeng's existence was actually completely beyond Xu Yue, who had just become a True Immortal, and actually made her feel a little bit threatened.
Interestingly, Xu Yue felt that she could defeat her ancest- Xu Lanfeng easily if she so wished, even if she didn't use her physical strength, and relied just on her Dao, giving her a good estimate on how a battle between her and a new True Immortal would go.
"As expected of an Ancestor who can match True Immortals, your understanding of existence is really impressive, but did past True Immortals really change that much more than me?" asked Xu Yue as brought a strand of her long black hair in front of her eyes.
"That's true, every single Immortal that I've seen before, and I've seen quite a number of them, was changed a lot by their ascendance, as for you, you've become just a tiny bit more beautiful than before, just around 1 percent I think," said Xu Lanfeng, causing Xu Yue to slightly smile.
"That's to be expected, you can't become much more beautiful than how I looked before," said Xu Yue as she placed one of her fingers on her lips, causing Xu Lanfeng to chuckle.
"Let's go back to the Three Thousand Regions right now, I'm sure that you've got some questions for me, but I've prepared a surprise for you while you were gone," said Xu Lanfeng with a smile on her face, knowing that her surprise would make Xu Yue quite happy.
In an instant, both Xu Lanfeng and Xu Yue appeared inside of the Origin Sword Sect.
...
As she stared at the large clock in front of her, which was emanating a mysterious aura, Xu Yue couldn't help but become serious, recognizing that aura as something related to the Dao of Time.
"As you should've already guessed, this is the Chaos Clock, one of the Four Immortal Treasure linked with the destiny of the Origin Sword Sect, like your previous sword," said Xu Lanfeng as she looked at Xu Yue.
"You've brought me here to use the Chaos Clock?" asked Xu Yue, causing Xu Lanfeng to faintly smile.
"That's right, unlike all other Immortal Treasures of the sect, the Chaos Clock doesn't actually have an Artifact Spirit, as its spirit has been killed by the father back in ancient times, as it was far too troublesome to control," said Xu Lanfeng, causing some doubt to appear on Xu Yue's face.
"How powerful exactly was it?" asked Xu Yue, a bit curious.
"Although I haven't seen it in action with my own eyes, father said that even without a user, the Chaos Clock's Artifact Spirit could exert strength equivalent to that of a True Immortal," said Xu Lanfeng, causing Xu Yue's eyes to suddenly pop open.
"As such, the Chaos Clock is much more troublesome to use than the other Immortal Artifacts, requiring one of two conditions to be met."
"The first path to controlling the Chaos Clock, and exerting a portion of its power is to be a False Immortal of the Origin Sword Sect and forge a bond with the clock, which takes around 700 million years, this allows you to use a limited amount of the Clock's power."
"As you may have expected, the second path requires being a True Immortal of the Origin Sword Sect, this will allow you to exert a larger portion of the power of the Chaos Clock," finished Xu Lanfeng, causing Xu Yue to feel some doubt.
"What do you need to do to exert the full power of the clock?" asked Xu Yue, clearly ambitious, causing Xu Lanfeng to chuckle.
"Firstly, I need to tell you that the Chaos Clock is unable to leave the Lower Dimension, which leads to a bit of a dilemma, as you to wield its true power, you need to be at least a Rank 4 True Immortal, of course, a Rank 4 True Immortal of the Origin Sword Sect..."
