Called Forth

Pikes pointed Venator, he felt terror at the sight of it, unable to try and fight back, not without losing the god's favor.

The city inside was relatively unscathed, only a few destroyed buildings as boulders crashed into them, fires spread on houses nearing the area while more armored soldiers ran to the front.

Explosions rocked different parts of the wall as archers from above fell, the guards turned, their focus soon shifted to the breaches, abandoning Venator.

Despite the transgression, he had an order to fulfill, to kill mages and protect Bellunamien;s soldiers.

Clouds of dust filled the air, blinding parts of the wall as incoherent sohuts of hundreds filled his ears.

He charged forward with the running soldiers, quickly metal began clashing against each other in a chaotic frenzy as floods of warriors pushed through the line of shields, knights and burly warriors fought against each other.

Quickly Bellunamien's army was overwhelmed while more continued coming. Soldiers were still running from afar to the frontline, out of reach as the flood continued pouring through more breaches.

With fire and a blade, Venator ran to one of the flooding breaches, the one he sealed was now destroyed, accompanied by more holes as they filled the area around them rapidly.

Fire burned through the smoking breaches as he flushed them out, quickly the cheers of joy from the soldiers turned to terror with many running back or running through, their armor on fire as they dropped their weapons, dying on the ground of the capital.

As they fought and sealed the holes, an explosion far stronger than the rest knocked Venator off his feet, sending him on his back as dust quickly consumed the entire area around the wall.

The reinforcements began forming a wall of shields, blocking off the entire main road, surviving Bellunamien soldiers began regrouping with the wall as the horde only got bigger.

Through the large cloud of darkened smoke, horses charged through. Their bodies crashed into the wall, quickly slamming into the wall as most riders were thrown off.

A few broke through the line of stalwart shields, creating gaps as the warriors from behind began attempting to get through.

"Hopefully they have their shields on." Venator stood up, taking out a few warriors near him. He pointed his hand towards the flocking mass of leather and metal clad fighters.

Fire spewed out as the entire main road was consumed in a violent orange flame.

Through the corners and alleys, remaining enemy fighters ran through them.

A deafening sound of a horn shook Venator where he stood. Immediately, the shields turned tail, running away while in armor as the last soldiers gave chase.

Venator ran with them as he continued his attack on the warriors. Around him many became scorched or slashed while he tried to get closer to the retreating soldiers.

Deeper into the city, he looked up at the walled of castle and the cathedral, hundreds of people stood atop the stairs, walls of shields stood, facing the stairs and on the edges as civilians hid behind them.

Venator soon found himself alone as the soldiers quickly ran up the stairs. Behind him, the horde continued charging. Small teams of Bellunamien soldiers scurried atop the stairs as they arrived.

"Alright, hope this is enough energy. These runts are getting more and more irritating"

With both his hands, large streaks of blue and orange fire crashed down on the running soldiers. Despite how many were burned, the horde seemed infinite.

As Venator continued, he felt as the energy began running out from his hands.

"This ain't good," Venator became desperate as each second passed, groups of warriors ran back while more continued pushing through with their shields taking the brunt of the fire before being consumed entirely by it as the streaks moved around.

He ran on the steps of the stairs, ice replacing the fire in his hands.

From spewing fire, Venator began forming a wall of thick ice at the foot of the stairs as Soldiers began crashing into it. extending to even the sides as some began attempting to climb.

He breathed a sigh of relief after the last wall was created.

Hearing the shouts of anger from the enraged fighters, chipping away pieces of the ice wall.

Venator sat down on the steps, watching them trying to break through. Horsemen behind them stopped at the site of the wall, quickly moving back after.

"Wonder where they're heading." Venator thought to himself.

The sound of metal clanking downwards grabbed his attention. Behind him, a group of armored knights carrying poleaxes descended down, all focused on Venator with their blades aimed at his head.

Venator stood up, raising his hands up as they approached down to him.

They stopped moving, the tips of their poleaxes nearly touching Venator's neck. Behind them, from above, a knight took off his helmet.

A man with short black hair bearing a long scar across his face looked down at Venator.

"So," He started talking with a raspy voice, "You're that magic bearer that's been seen by many of my soldiers." He continued, speaking with a tone of resentment. His hand neared his sword's sheathe as he continued staring down. "I was told by every single one, a robed user that bore magic was spotted, joining in different battles. Only focusing on the enemy rather than our own." The sword slowly became unsheathed after he spoke, showing just a glimpse of the blade underneath. "Magic users aren't so well liked, especially in our kingdom regardless of what they have done...Now." He quickly took out the blade, gleaming in the sunlight as he pointed it at Venator.

"Hold it!" A voice from far above the stairs yelled out. The soldiers all looked back, past the wall of shields was another knight. The man looked old. his hair was white while his face was covered in cuts and burns of previous battles.

The knight lowered his sword upon seeing the man.
