48 Chapter 48: Bullet of Bullets [1].

A month has passed since the Death Gun episode and two deaths were confirmed, as the owners of the game under the Japanese Server, Aster and Koro Sensei had to deal with the government agents, and Kirito was yet again commissioned by Kikouka to verify the truth of the Death Gun.

Kirito found himself in the middle of the city, and then walking around a bit he managed to successfully lose his way and wander into Sinon, who mistook him for a female player and showed him around the weapons market.

The two were standing near the Untouchable game, where Sinon was showing him the ways around. The player who was trying the game failed at the 5-meter line and was disqualified, he left the game with a downcast face.

The goal of the game is for the player to get as close to the gunman as possible. The rewards are~ 10 meters - 1,000 credits.

15 meters - 2,000 credits.

Touch the gunman - All the money that players have spent on the game until that point.

The game takes place in a walled-off area, roughly three meters wide and twenty meters long. The area is laid out on metal tiles, surrounded by a waist-high fence, while a Non-Player Character (NPC) dressed as a cowboy stands the furthest inside.

After the player pays a fee of five hundred credits by placing their hand on a terminal next to the gate, a countdown starts, after which the gate opens. The players must then advance through the field while avoiding the gunfire from the NPC gunman. The first eight meters are easy, as players can use the Bullet Lines to easily avoid gunfire.

However, as soon as the eight-meter line is crossed, the NPC will begin using cheating quickdraws, which reach the target almost as fast as the Bullet Lines appear. The gunman also begins to use quick reloads and begins firing in three-round bursts. After the ten-meter mark, the gunman begins shooting at irregular patterns, while after the fifteen-meter mark he begins to shoot all six rounds at the same time.

If the player manages to get too close to the gunman, he fires six laser beams with his revolver without even reloading.

Kirito walked in and started running as he dodged the bullets and kept moving forward with irregular patterns, the gunman kept shooting and when Kirito was a foot away, the gunman shot a burst of lasers, which Kirito dodged with a jump and flip and touched the gunman, clearing the game.

"Why are these Assault Rifle guns so much bigger than the sun-machine guns when they have relatively low-caliber bullets?" asked the confused Kirito.

"How could you have such ridiculous reflexes and evasion skills and not even know this much?" Sinon asked with a doubtful face, "You said you converted your account, right? What kind of game were you playing before?"

"Uh...well..." Kirito was stumbling while a deep voice spoke from behind them, "he played ALO for some time before this a lot of different games before that, right Kirito?"

Both of them turned back to see two players standing behind them, both had light builds specialized for stealth and long-distance. Kirito who was on the look for Death Gun was spooked out thinking that these two might be affiliated with him, seeing how similar they dressed.

"So, what are you doing here with that M9000 avatar, you didn't wake up to 'that', did you?" asked the man on the right.

"Wait... don't tell me..." Kirito facepalmed with a really weird expression.

"Oh, yes, we will tell you and we will show this picture to Asuna and tell her about your awakened self. NYUHUUHU~" Koro Sensei chuckled.

"Maybe we can do a broadcast on the morning daily, to warn people to beware of the dangers of the M9000 avatar, what do you think Reaper?" Aster <Frost> asked playfully.

"Cut it out you two, don't you have anything else to do other than teasing me right now, and first of all what are you doing here, and second of all, how did you know it was me?" asked a nearly despairing Kirito.

"We found you from that game and no, we are here to participate in the BoB. Seeing that there is very less time till the registration closes, we thought to bring you along with us. You are Sinon, right? We are Reaper and Frost, it's nice to meet a fellow sniper, let's get along from now." Reaper spoke with his happy-go-lucky, tone.

"What? you guys are the infamous reaper and Frost?" Silently screamed a shocked Sinon.

"Yeah, now let's get Kirito some gear and leave for the Government General Building." Reaper chuckled and pulled them along with him.

"Reaper, from now on, don't accept any bounty on Sinon, and pick one on the name of the person who posted Sinon's bounty, snipers got to stick together." Frost hummed.

Sinon was on the roller coaster of madness that was happening around her from meeting the infamous Bounty Hunter-duo to finding that the newbie was friends with them, the image that the forms had created of the mysterious duo shattered before her.

They bought Kirito a lightsaber and a handgun for the sub-arm. Reaper dragged them and somehow the loner self of Sinon was unable to resist him with his perkiness. They got up on the jeep in the parking and Frost stepped on the gas and rushed off.

In the car:

"So, how did you guys meet, like Sinon the solo and Kirito the noobie, how did this add up?" Reaper asked from the shotgun seat.

"I met her in the streets, she asked me the way to the weapons market, and seeing that she was a new player I decided to help her out a bit, as the female players are rare in the game..." Sinon stopped with the hand brake that Frost hit.

"What was that for..." she looked at the dumbfounded gazes of the two from the driver and the shotgun seat, with a weird feeling that something strange will happen.

"Kirito is a he for God's sake, see... this is why I told you to remove that avatar. The first thing I will do tomorrow is to remove that from the slot so that no one else gets stuck like this." Frost grumbled.

"We can't don't do that, this avatar is the dream come true for the awakened people and it's not like this is a trap or anything." Reaper argued.

"This is a damn trap, and no means no, the evil must be banished. I will freeze your laptop into a popsicle if you stop me from this." Frost grumbled.

"If you dare touch my porn collection, I will smash all of your snow sculptures, and don't think I don't know about the certain hidden stash with the figurines of a certain person..." Reaper threatened.

"Okay... you win, but don't you dare blab about it to anyone else if you don't want to sleep on a frozen bed." Aster stepped back but still grumbled and started driving again.

The exchange literally weirded out the two in the backseat. Kirito who saw Sinon's weird expression sighed and explained, "I am a male and this avatar was something I did not set for myself. As for these guys they are two rich idiots who have too much money and time on their hands, and aside from all that they are really great guys."

"Even if you say that, what were you doing here in the first place?" Frost asked.

"Well, I got a part-time job offer from Kikouka-san, I am here to look for Death Gun and see what this is all about," Kirito said with a somber expression.
