47 Chapter 47: Bounty Hunters.

It's been a year since the ALO issue has been sorted out, but this time around the management was different. Aster and Koro Sensei took hold of the reins when Mr. Yuuki was too mortified to do so, basically, the man was pushed to the breaking point, where the man he trusted the most, even wanted to marry his dear daughter to turned out to be such scum. Not only that, the bastard had the gall to trap three hundred players including his daughter in the game to conduct illegal human experiments.

The RECT was bound to receive a lashing from the media as well as the people and the government. But this was rectified with Aster and Koro Sensei coming into the scene where they themselves brought the matter to light and pinned it all on the culprit and saved the company's name and promised the people that the company was in safer hands now and it would only strive to be the best under their helm.

And that it did, the ALO was one of the top 5 most played VRMMO to exist and with the addition of the Aincrad castle and Kayaba's help to manage and create a better game world, the game was booming with name and fame.

With several quests and new maps and events to go along the seemingly laid-back ALO turned into a game that could be played both ways, the first would be the combat class and the second would be the life-skill class. The penalties for death were harsh and the rewards were lucrative, the high difficulty made the rewards more meaningful and it received a lot of praise from the player base.

Moving on, the last year Aster and Koro Sensei officially managed to stay under the radar with all their wealth by distributing their assets properly to keep their net worth from reaching a billion. They had their hands in every good thing from stocks to real estate and even gold and products like liquor and tobacco. But what they pressed harder on was their tech industry and the chain of cafes they named 'Rustica'.

The year went really well for the two and they also kept in touch with the guys from SAO, Koro Sensei brought the GGO to a separate structural base that was only for the Japanese server. After the first 'BOB' or the Battle of Bullets, the game was successfully separated from its parent Zhaskar, which was based in the US.

They were covered in many magazines for being the young and successful entrepreneurs as well as for their increasing chain of business in the cafe industry. 'Rustica' was officially the place for people to spend some quality time together, the morning shift served as a cafe while the evening shift was a bar. The old rustic vibe from the place made it a customer favorite and the business bloomed.

They were officially millionaires, even after they kept all the other businesses under a different name. The plans were working, the money was coming in and they were busier than ever before. But then the crisis came in, the Death Gun episode started with the death of Xexeed, who was the winner of the first BOB.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Koro Sensei, who had joined GGO while Aster was in ALO was a fairly famous player now after completing a 100 bounties in a week, without a single failure. The name Reaper was making a lot of commotion in the forums as well, 'the strongest bounty hunter' that's what they were calling him.

There were rumors online, and they said, "once the reaper is after your head, you better start counting your losses, for there is no escape."

Three years passed since they came to this world, it was a long time and for Aster and Koro Sensei, they managed to busy themselves with business and make a fortune. They really enjoyed their time together, people who knew them often joked that they were brothers with different surnames. Both of them received quite a lot of the spotlight, for being young and handsome, the 'dynamic duo' moniker was given off by a women's magazine, that featured handsome and rich men across the world.

Scores of proposals lined up and yet the guys were unbothered, some jealous folks even started rumors of them being gay for each other. The people in question just laughed it away at a talk show, Koro Sensei even made a joke and said, "well, I would marry him any day of the year if I did not commit my heart to another and for him, I guess I better not talk if I want myself to be kept in a single piece."

Listening to his words, Aster simply sighed and shrugged his shoulders to say, "I still have a million more years to decide things like that before the earth explodes."

The host and the audience laughed it away while only Koro Sensei knew how right he was and smiled, 'only if they knew' he mused.

The GGO was a game that is set on a post-apocalyptic Earth, which had become a wasteland after a huge war long ago, that people had returned to on spaceships. The capital city of the game, called SBC Glocken, with SBC meaning Space Battle Cruiser, was originally the spaceship that was used to return to this planet. A huge city of ruins from the war, which has an unlimited number of automated fighting machines and mutant creatures that await adventurers, sleeps beneath the capital city.

The basis of the game's gameplay is to increase one's level, which in turn increases stats that are increased based on the player's choices. These stats determine how a character plays and operates in the game, the interval selection can not be altered later, so players must know how they wish to develop in the long term.

Aster joined the game with the character name Frost since it was available, he picked a anti-player build like Koro Sensei, who introduced Aster to the sniper and double handgun combo. Aster decided to keep a sword on him as well to deal with melee issues, just in case.

Build: Koro Sensei.

So that's with the build and the job they picked was the same, bounty hunters. They took a lot of hits after that and people even started paying them to ensure that they don't pick a bounty placed on their heads. A few groups tried to hunt them down but were counter-killed by the two, the forums were going wild again.

"Has the reaper found a partner?"

"Are they really assassins IRL?"

"What is their objective?"

"Who is their next target?"

A lot of other discussions were going on but no one knew anything about the two of them, they did not talk face to face, only through messages and did online transactions or third party transactions, thus no one knew anything about them, adding another cover of mystery on them.
