Examination day pt. 2

Peter and his teammates starts to move. They're all in the entrance of the Citadel waiting for instructions from their teachers. There are numerous people who took the practical exam and on the other hand only a few instructors are appointed to escort them to the forest of the Sanctuary.

Chloe holds on Peter's shirt in order to stay by their side. Arvin can't stop on his yawning and he's bored because they're haven't started yet.

One of the instructor go in front of them.

"Attention examinees! I am instructor Jerwin Conraua my hybrid is 'Goliath Frog' and I am the leader of the instructors who in charged on counting and computing your accumulated points."

Jerwin said while shouting just for the students at the back to hear.

"Yeahh!" The students yelled.

After a long introduction, all of the students starts to move like a kids rushing to the forest similar to a kid who wants to buy a limited time candy at the store.

Instead of rushing, Peter's team holds no sign of desire of getting there before anyone else. Besides, the other teams who thought that it'll be an easy exam.

He knew well how extremely dangerous those hybrid animals inside of the forest. Because he once almost lost his life there.

After a while ~

Peter starts to move as the students already reached the forest.

"After we got there, first, we need to find a safe place to build our temporary shelter."

"Understood, but how?" Chloe asked and look at him out of curiosity.

"How you said?"

Instead of answering directly, he just counter question her.

"Well... we just need to avoid as much contact as much possible." Arvin answered it instead.

After walking for a while they've reached their destination~

"Arvin, check the surroundings if there's hybrid animal and report it immediately."

"O... Okay!"

Arvin hurried up and starts to check the surroundings.

Chloe is hesitant to approach Peter. "I think this is the best place to set up a camp." She suggested to him.

While they are setting their camp, many of the teams has been eliminated. On the other hand, many team hunted the hybrid animals and has gotten their points.

While Arvin is checking the perimeter of their site he saw someone fighting near to the place where they will place their camp.

"Uaghh! Grahhh! You don't have the rights to further continue this exam."

"I... I'm not gonna lose!"

He's fighting with everything he got but it's futile against his opponent. The other members of his team are all knocked down and can't even move their fingers.

"Enough with this nonsense!" [Growl] He's praparing to use his hybrid technique to end their battle. "Mountain Lion's Hunting Mechanism: Mountain Pounce!"

After he uses his splendid hybrid hunting mechanism his opponent down in an instant. He sense Arvin nearby but he chose not to care and get away from their battle field.

Arvin hides on the tree. "Wh... what in the world was that?!" He yelled out of shock.

Arvin quickly report the event that has happened back there to Peter. He explained all of the details on how the lion person singlehandedly those three without breaking a sweat. He seems afraid after he saw that person and thinking they will face him soon enough.

Sighhhh... "Good work, Arvin. Now we need to avoid him as much as possible."

He sighed and continued what he's doing. They finished their camp and the sun is setting quickly. After they finished their meal Arvin and Chloe go to bed and take a rest while Peter stayed awake and figuring out how to use his hybrid power.

Thursday, 11:37 p.m. in the present.~

"Guahhh! Hahhh! Get out... Sighhhh..." He's still trying to figure it out and it seems like he needs a certain way to get his power out.

One thing he noticed is that he can see in the dark. He tried one more time to use his hybrid power but the cup he was holding got squeezed and he remembered what Scientist Jai said that he has the strength of a green anaconda. He's slowly learning how to use his power and its capabilities little by little.

He looked from the distance and noticed something.

"Hmmm..." He squint his eyes and looked at it carefully.

"Wait a minute... that's a hybrid animal!" He said in shock.

He swiftly rushed towards where it is and he realize that it's a hybrid of a bear and a boar. It has the body of a bear and a head and tail of a boar.

The b-boar sense him and prepared for an immediate attack.

"Groaaarr! Rowwarrr!" The b-boar growl.

Peter stopped and starts to hide for a moment and thought that it might be better if he'll wake Arvin and Chloe to help him. But he feels bad about himself that he can't even use his hybrid power to protect himself and them while they are sleeping.

He approached the b-boar that rushing towards his place. He grabbed something and swings it with his full strength.

"Rahhhh! Take this...You piggy! " He shouted as he swung the branch of a tree.

Crackk~

The sound of the branch of the tree that snapped echoed and it can be heard from the distance. After his full powered swing he looked at the hybrid animal and realized that it has done nothing to the b-boar.

"Groaah! " The b-boar used its claw to attack him.

Peter instinctively used his arms to protect him from the impact. He flew far away from where the b-boar attacked him. He's struggling to get up and he can just groan as he really felt that attack from the b-boar.

[Groan] "It hurts as hell!" He said while puking blood as he getting up.

"Roaah! Hoiink! " The b-boar starts to move again and rushed to where he is and not giving him a time to get up completely.

Peter shielded his arms to protect his head but he changed his mind in an instant. He opened his arms and getting ready to grab the b-boar using his body as a stopper.

He caught the b-boar with his bare hands and used his grip strength to choke it as he fully manifested his green anaconda feat its grip strength. After he choked the b-boar he used his razor sharp fangs to inject the b-boar his deadly venom.

The b-boar starts to rampage while Peter's choking and biting him. Until it can't move anymore and fell down to the ground lifeless.

Peter successfully hunted the b-boar and now sitting on the floor catching his breath and sweating. He checked out the body of the b-boar and it has the markings that saids 100 points.

Peter smiled and even punched the air out of excitement. "Yes! My first hunt and I can even understand my hybrid powers a bit now. " He said in a joyful tone.
