I watch as the ball heads right towards Kageyama and curves right at the last second, but Kageyama was quick to receive the ball.

I watched as the ball gracefully came back to my side of the net, it was a little close to the net but I decided to go for it anyways.

Once Kageyama noticed what I was doing he started to run towards the net to block my spike, but he was already too late because while he was starting his jump I was already at the peak of mine.

I spike the ball down and I hear a 'Wow' from Hinata. As I land I look up at Kageyama who was just staring at me

"What do you have a staring problem, if you take a picture it will last longer." I say with a smirk and Kageyama quickly looks away

"Wow, L/N that was amazing!" I hear Hinata happily say while he walks up to me

"It took a long time for m to be able to jump that high, since I'm short." I say while I take a drink of my water and Hinata nods before saying

"Yea its tough, but Y/N..." Hinata starts and I look over at him while he says "I think I can jump higher."

I was about to ask what he means when Kageyama came over

"What was with that receive?" I ask and Kageyama gave me a weird look

"What do you mean it was a fine receive"

"If you were in a game then the other team would have had a chance ball, and you were behind on your block."

"Its not like one person can play volleyball by themselves." Kageyama said raising his hands in defense

"What do you mean, just yesterday you said you wanted to do it all!" Hinata said and I looked back at Kageyama who was quick to argue

"I did not!"

"Yes, you did!"

"Did not!"

"Did too."

Kageyama and Hinata continued to argue when suddenly a voice boomed through the gym

"Come on you idiots we don't have time for this!" The upperclassman suddenly yelled causing me to jump

"R-Right!" The say in unison while the started to warm up, and I walk back over to my stuff

I hear the gym door open and we all look over and I quickly ran over to the person.

"Akina!" I said happily and she smiled when she noticed me

"Why are you here?"

"I got here a little early, so I came to watch." I say and Akina points at my shoes

"Then why do you have your volleyball shoes on?"

"I had to prove something." I say while I walk over to my stuff and slipped off my volleyball shoes and put them in my volleyball bag

"Oh yea, how was moving in? What's your apartment like?" Akina asked and I glanced over at Kageyama who looked back at me

"Its really big and nice for 800 a month."

"I was going to come over and help, but you weren't there."

"Oh, my mom helped me and I was done pretty quick. So I went out to get some food." I say while I start to walk towards the door

"Sorry for interfering with your practice." I said with a wave while Akina and I began to make our way to the girl's gym.

"Was anybody there when you went to check in?" I asked and Akina just looked ahead

"Only the captain showed up." She said and my eyes widened

"What about the rest of the team?"

"They weren't there, maybe they just slept in." Akina said trying to be positive

"No, they just don't want to come." We hear the captain's voice so we both look up at her

"We didn't mean-" Akina started but the captain shook her head

"This is the way they always are, every now and then some of them might show but not on a dialy basics." The captain said sadly

"Oh." We and Akina say in unison both of us not knowing what to say

"It doesn't matter, lets start practice." The captain said with a smile while she turned and went into the gym

"I wonder why nobody shows up to practice."

"Lazy." I say and Akina rolled her eyes

"I'm sure that's not that's not why." Akina said defending them

"Come on, hurry up!" We hear the captain say and we both quickly run into the gym
