In the vast expanse of the grand house, Sefra and Kiara found themselves caught in a delicate dance of avoidance. The weight of their tumultuous past hung heavy between them, casting a palpable tension that seemed impossible to escape.

They maneuvered through the halls with careful precision, deliberately avoiding each other's paths. Their encounters, when they did occur, were marked by fleeting glances and strained silence. Both Sefra and Kiara carried the weight of their unspoken words, the wounds of their shared history still fresh in their minds.

Days turned into weeks, and the chasm between them seemed to widen with every passing moment. Sefra, despite being touched by Kiara's words, found himself unable to fully confront the depths of his past mistakes. Fear and pride held him back, trapping him in a cycle of inaction.

Kiara, too, grappled with her own conflicting emotions. While she desired healing and resolution, a part of her remained guarded, unwilling to expose herself to further pain. The scars of her captivity and the loss of her pack remained etched upon her heart, serving as a constant reminder of the pain Sefra had caused.

One fateful evening when Kiara was still having dinner,sefra stumbled in from outside,he had gone out since morning and was just returning now,as soon as she saw he was coming her way,she lost her appetite and didn't want to eat again suddenly about to go to her room.

Wait..,he said rushed and she stopped for a while before continuing to walk forward.

The next thing she knew he had launched towards her with lightning speed and was already pinned against the wall behind her,she shuddered as the wall was cold.

She looked up at him,his eyes a different colour of red as he stared down at her.

what do you want?,she asked him.

I..well I wanted to ask why you were avoiding me,it's okay to not see once in a while cause the house is big but it's being a week since we last spoke,we were already getting on good terms before that kidnapping,he explained and she rolled her eyes.

Good terms..,she scoffed.

we were never on good terms and never will be,may I remind you that this is a kidnapping Incase you forgot yourself,but trust me I won't hesitate to run away once I get a chance...,she said and was cut short by what Sefra did next.

She was still talking to him,while he kept staring at her lips as she talked,they were cherry and glossy and looked mesmerizing,he found himself lost in them that he didn't seem to hear what she was saying,when she was done talking he bent down and kissed her on her lips gently before he pulled away.

She stood shocked and couldn't quite register what had just happened before he bent down and kissed her again,this time longer and she didn't react at first as she was lost,when she regained her consciousness,she started to hit him and tried pushing him but now that she was a mere weak human,it was hopeless.

He held her wrist that was hitting him tightly and drew her closer to him deepening the kiss as his other hand snaked around her waist.

Se..Sefra you're hurting me,she said between kisses but he didn't reply and continued only to stop at his own time.

she held her wrist which he held tightly and it hurt badly,she had a small cut on the side of her lips as his fangs had scraped her lips...,she slapped him across his face and tan back to her room slamming the door shut.

Such a jerk just because I have no powers and can't be able to fight him back,he thinks he has the power to use me as he please,she said as she wiped the tears from her eyes as more drops continued to fall.

she sat down on the bed thinking of a quick plan to escape from this place,she had felt a little comfortable previously and let her guard down but she needed to leave now...what if he didn't just stop at kissing her and does something more disturbing.

In the other room Sefra was annoyed and frustrated,he had had many vampire girlfriends in the past and they had always being easy,in fact there had thrown themselves at him..,why the h*ll was Kiara acting up now,she slapped him..huh!!what happened someone who slaps the vampire clan leader.. probably the other party has to die but she just slapped him casually, didn't she know that actions came with consequences.

He had accepted the fact that he she was his mate and he had feelings for her but it wasn't too much of a deal,he just enjoyed her presence and because of those rotten vampires who kidnapped her,she now hated more than she did before.

That night they barely had sleep as Kiara kept thinking hw would enter her room even though she double checked locking it,she was still at edge and Sefra who still felt Kiara's presence in the room was even hard on him cause each time he turned on the bed hoping to see a petite figure lying on the other side,it would be null and void,it continued like this till in the morning where Sefra was informed by his guards that they had being invited to a party by one of the noble men.

Oh..and did I forget to mention,when the went to the human realm they took up fake disguise and noble people to fit into their world and would avoid trouble.

He looked at the invitation card and it said clearly with a date,as he saw this he immediately thought of Kiara but dismissed it,I won't be going,he said to the gaurds as they left his room.

Sefra had managed to secure an invitation to a grand party hosted by a powerful human noble. It presented an opportunity to enter the world of mortals and perhaps prove his worthiness to Kiara. Though he hesitated initially, the allure of the event became too tempting to resist.

Any normal human would be dying right now for an invitation but he just tossed like some rubbish newspaper.

If he could show Kiara a glimpse of the world beyond their supernatural struggles,she already hated him "yes",but he wanted her to at least experience her new life as a human she was now, he might be able to convince her to join him,and with this he changed his mind about not going, And so, he decided to extend an invitation to Kiara herself since of course he needed a date.

Sefra found himself standing outside Kiara's quarters, feeling a mix of anticipation and anxiety. He raised his hand to knock, but before his knuckles could meet the door, it swung open, revealing Kiara standing there, her expression a mixture of uncertainty and defiance.

"Why are you here?" she demanded, her voice tinged with a hint of resignation as she had eye bags under her eye showing clearly she had a bad sleep.

Sefra took a moment to gather his thoughts before answering. "I've received an invitation to a party, Kiara," he explained. "An opportunity to venture into the human realm. I thought it might be a chance for you to see a different world, a chance for us to... reconnect."

Kiara's eyes darted between Sefra and the invitation he held in his hand. Her inner struggle was evident, torn between her desire to distance herself from him and the curiosity that burned within her. She remained silent for a moment before finally responding, her voice barely above a whisper.

Are you joking.. you're kidding me right,Kiara said with a laugh.

You want us to reconnect and what again..see a different world,wow just wow Mr vampire.

because I am a human now doesn't give you the right to mock me,I will get my powers back however in the meantime don't come close to me,she said an tried closing the door but he stopped her with just a hand.

Sefra pushed the door open and entered the room and he reached out to gently touch Kiara's cheek,but she snapped and hit his hand away. "I cannot change the past, Kiara. But I promise you, I will protect you now. And perhaps, if you allow me, I can show you a different side of me—a side that is capable of love.

You want to protect me.. really,I wouldn't even be here if you hadn't murdered my family,I have no business with you whatsoever and go love yourself dude,I don't give a care who you love just stir clear from me,she said and he wasn't gentle anymore.

He held her by her arm and pulled her closer to him"listen to me clearly Kiara,I may have something with you but that gives you no right to talk back at me,I can be very dangerous,he said as his grip on her hand increased.

she couldn't help but feel fear at that moment,this was the first time she had being scared in her life,even when her pack members died,it wasn't like this and now that she was just human with a fragile heart she was terrified.
