Hidden Roots

Everyone was in low spirits as they were hungry, exhausted and by nightfall the murky dungeon became freezing cold.

Evan and Sadako were forming some sort of plan when the creeking sound of the doors opened. Rellik entered the room while dragging someone behind her. The man was bloody and unconscious, his clothes were tattered as if he were in some horrible battle. Rellik slammed him down and locked him up next to Avery.

"It seems you'll be having a visitor, we cought this man and some of his men trying to infiltrate the castle. Too bad he's the only one still alive."

Sadako gasped once the mans face came into view, it was Shirone. She couldn't let Rellik know that she knew him though, that would only make things even more complicated.

Rellik had turned around to leave the dungeon when she heard the sound of loud metal clanking echoing through the chamber. Once she turned around she saw Avery in a rabid state of mind. Saliva frothing from his mouth and his eyes blank like a starving animal. Some sort of fangs had grown from his mouth as he was about to eat Shirone from the looks of it.

"What's going on!? What did you do to him!? Is this an effect of these curse marks!?"

Lyran burst out at Rellik for answers to Avery's state but Rellik seemed to be just as shocked and confused as the rest of them.

"No this isn't an effect of Lord Damien's curse marks, this is something else. As impossible as it sounds It would seem that your friend is actually a Vampire."

Rellik knelt down to examine the scene. Her eyes glanced back and forth between Avery and Shirone before seeming to come to some sort of conclusion.

"hmph."

Rellik walked up and cut Shirone's arm and drained some blood into a glass. When the cup was full she grabbed Avery by the back of his head and poured the blood down his throat.

"What are you doing!?"

Sadako snapped at Rellik.

"The only way to calm a rabid vampire down is for them to feed on blood. It seems your friend Avery here is a half vampire that feeds on demon blood instead of human blood. The only time this happens is when a demon and a vampire mate."

Just as Rellik explained this Avery began to calm down and regain his senses though he was breathing rapidly.

"You said your name is Avery? What is your family name?"

" My name is Avery William Volk."

Rellik gasped and her eyes went wide.

"And what is your mother's name?"

"My mother's name is Wynter Volk not that it's any of your business."

"Perhaps I should fully introduce myself, I am Rellik Volk. Wynter's my sister which would make you my long lost nephew."

Avery was baffled at this new discovery of his mother's hidden family roots.

From the great Celestial Bridge King Goliath Gravestone led an attack against Damien's Vampire army. Bloodshed and war cries filled the atmosphere. Though the Vampires had strength in numbers, Demons were much stronger warriors.

When they clashed, the battle seemed almost even matched at first but eventually the demons pushed through.

The tides began to change for a moment. All until an onslaught of undead mummified warriors attacked seemingly from the ground. The Dark Chimera was there waiting for King Goliath.

"Ah right on time, I've been expecting your arrival Goliath. Our moment is here, now I will show you the glory of the demigod of Vampires.

This is your doing since its was you who ravaged the great vampire country of Vlad. Your country is now ours, I will obliterate you and your head will be put on a spike to mark a new era."

"Hah, we'll see about that."

Goliath's armor tore apart as he transformed into a dragon shooting up off the ground into the sky. The behemoth scaled monster beamed down on Jesshira with the force of 1,000 falling buildings.

The deadly swan dive looked inescapable, but Jesshira used his power to cancel out the gravity above him. His gravity ability covers a range of about 20 meters in diameter. It was a sphere in which he controls the amount of gravity. He can use it to either make gravity much heavier or even non-existent.

Goliath was floating in the air unable to gain control of his own movement for a moment. That was when Jesshira crushed Goliath into the ground with the full weight of his gravity sphere.

"This is just a small taste of what's to come, as I said this Kingdom will belong to the Vampires."

The Dark Chimera approached the Demon Lord who was being pushed against the ground with a pounding force.
