Damien & The Dungeon
"Why are we being held as prisoners?"
Sadako spoke first, though she was becoming agitated.
"Strangers appearing at a time of conflict are wild cards and our Lord Damien is very cautious when unknown variables show up in battle settings."
Rellik stood with her back to the wall with her arms folded as she gave her answer.
"…And who put this curse on us?"
Lyran was still panting heavily, the curse mark had taken the wind out of her.
"Lord Damien has spent many years studying dark magic, he is very proficient in casting curses. He is also the only one who can lift that curse so keep that in mind when he speaks to you…"
The screeching sound of old rusted hinges as the wooden dungeon doors swung open. Moments later two men walked inside. It was Jesshira wearing full plated armor and another man who wore a red and black high collared cape. His baring fangs gave him an appearance of a genuine vampire.
"I am the Lord of Vampires, my name is Damien Brimsun. "
"Cut to the chase Damien."
Jesshira and Damien both have powerful voices that resonate through the dark stone chambers.
"I'm going to ask once, and once only. What is your reason for coming here?"
A glance into Damien's eyes would reveal that his heart was as cold as his soul. He was a leader who has seen many hardships. His slanted eyes have seen horror to it's true potential.
"We are merely passing by, we're on a journey towards the Hollow Forest."
Her reply was swift and to the point.
"And what is this?"
Damien held the key of Neodeka, he had taken it off of Avery when they were taken captive.
"Eh-?"
Avery's mouth gaped open at the sight of the key dangling by a string from Damien's hand.
"Family heirloom."
Sadako quickly thought of an answer on Avery's behalf.
"Really? It caught my eye as it looks quite valuable. There seems to be a complex ancient magic of the likes I've never seen emanating from it. What does it unlock?"
"It's personal."
Avery realized that the true answer that the key opens another realm of existence would cause Damien to keep it for himself.
"Well, I'll just hold on to it for now…And you, demon girl…Tell me…What is your stance on Goliath Gravestone and his demon army?"
"Put Goliath's head on a stick."
Sadako's voice was every bit as cold and heartless as her words. Damien glanced at her red eyes glowing through the shadowy dungeon, he felt convinced she meant every word of her reply.
"My brethren and I have been run out of our homeland. The demons ravaged our country like savages. They destroyed our peace and burned our houses. My army has come for Goliath and the demons now, we broke down their wall and pushed back.
Right now the civilians of this town have evacuated into Illumious and the demons are barricading the Celestial Bridge. Therefore, we have taken the king's castle."
The thought that these vampires were strong enough to rival the army of the Kingdom of Flames was mind bending. Though, Evan and his friends witnessed first hand the strength of just one of them. The gladiator Jesshira took them all out in the blink of an eye.
