The Mysterious Power of a Saint 1

Edward snapped back to reality. The old man waited patiently for him to collect himself. Edward kept replaying what happened that night in his head, it would always cut short right after the old man introduced himself. After what seemed like hours, he finally lost it.

"AHHHH!! Nooooo!! Get away from me!!!"

Edward got up and began running. He didn't know where he was going but he knew getting away from that old man would be the best.

He got to the trees and made it into the forest. He ran without a care in the world. All he wanted to do was live now. As he kept running, he didn't realize that a pair of eyes were watching him. The eyes never blinked. It was as if it didn't want to miss a single thing.

Edward kept running and screaming like a maniac. This kept going on for some time until the eyes watching him blinked. Once they did, Edward's surrounding changed. He was back in the clearing where he had fought Roman.

The old man just smiled and waved.

"It's pointless, I've already got you trapped."

He pointed at the sky. Edward looked up and saw it. The sky had a glass like shimmer. It was as if he had been trapped inside a glass cage. He quickly looked towards the forest and noticed that the forest also had the same shimmer. He fought with all his will to not cry at that moment.

"No… your… it's… your Domain…". There was a brief pause before he broke down.

"PLEASE! I CAN TELL YOU WHO BROUGHT US HERE!! I-"

The old man cut him off. 

"I know everything already. You've been in my Domain since you entered the human continent a year ago. I know the person that brought you here. I know you don't know his name or face but that he goes by Blue." 

Edward tried to speak up but he was once again cut off. 

"I don't need to know why you guys are here. I don't care to know why you are here. I've told your father what would happen if any vampires stepped foot on this continent." 

Edward realized that he had no chance of living. His dead eyes just drifted around as the old man spoke. It was when his eyes landed on the unconscious Roman that he had an idea. The old man had let his guard down so he took the opportunity that had presented itself to him. His eyes glowed red, he steadied his breathing and the air around him began to pick up. 

Of course, the old man saw this but he just waited. It was as if he wanted to see what the prince had planned. 

When Edward was ready, he began his plan. He took out the arm that he had taken from Roman and bit into it. He had bitten off a chunk of meat from the arm and chewed it. The old man watched in disgust as he swallowed it. The prince then laughed, as if his victory was guaranteed. 

"You will let me leave this damn Domain of yours old man!" 

Edward teleported right before the old man's eyes. This genuinely threw him off guard since he didn't expect that. He was going to try to sense where the prince had gone but he knew that there was only one place he could had gone to. He looked around towards Roman and saw Edward standing next to him, his claws drawn out and inches away from his throat. 

Edward laughs out loud. "HAHAHA! It's my victory old man! Let me leave here alive or this human will get it! You went out of your way to save him so he must be someone important!" 

Contrary to his thoughts, the old man just stood still. His arms were crossed. He seemed relax and unbothered by the danger that loamed over Roman. This angered Edward. He brought his claws closer to Roman. 

"Don't you believe me?! I will kill this bastard!" 

The old man shrugged. Then, almost as if he was egging him on, he said to Edward, "I wouldn't do that young prince. You'll surely regret it." 

The man said it as if it was a fact. Edward was sure that he was bluffing. 

"Is that so? I think you still don't believe me so let me show you what I mean!"

He grabbed onto Roman's neck and tried crush his throat. But it didn't go as he planned. The moment his hands touched Roman, he felt his life force get taken away. His eyes widen in horror. He tried to move his hand away but he couldn't. It was as if some invisible force was holding him down. He looked up at the old man for an explanation but he just shrugged once more. 

"I told you so." 

Edward let out a scream in frustration. He once again tried to escape but no matter how hard he tried, the invisible wouldn't let him go. He couldn't even release his hands from Roman's throat. After all the struggle, he only had one thought. Using his other hand, he was going to kill Roman with one swoop. 

"NOOOO!!!" 

He only screamed in horror as he soon realized what was happening. Before he could kill Roman, his body had aged rapidly. He looked down at his arm and realized that it had turned gray and wrinkly. He looked at his other arm and saw the same thing. He touched his face and felt the loose and wrinkly skin there as well. 

He turned to the old man. The old man mocked him once more. 

"Didn't I tell you old man? You would regret it." 

Edward tried to let out his frustration but nothing came out. His life was suddenly cut short. He had fallen over and was gasping for the last bit of air he would take. His eyes widen as he remembered something. The ability to steal other's vitality. The ability to cut someone's life off with just a touch.

'I'm sure big brother could do this as well right? How could a human do this?!' 

Those were his final thoughts as the light left his eyes. No one could answer this dead man's question except the gods themselves. 

The old man walked over and glanced at the prince.

"Shame, you could of lived a better life. Didn't you hear your brother's words that night... what was his name again? Ah, whatever." 

The old man didn't think about it anymore. Prince Edward was dead now. He turned his attention to Roman. 

"It's time to go young master. The event should be over soon. I can finally release my Domain."

As the old man prepared to release it, he heard a bit of rustling near by. Before he could act, he heard a small whisper that sent chills down his spine.

"Domain Expansion."
