New friends

The sun rose resplendent over Knothole starting a new dawn, a new day for everyone. Our Green Echidna Hedgehog was seen lying in a hammock while taking a nap in his new home that the Fighters had given him. Aaron felt the sun's rays hit his eyes as he started to wake up, he let out a long yawn before sitting on the hammock as he scratched the back of his neck before opening his eyes as he stretched his arms to shake the sleep out of his system.

Aaron sat in the hammock before getting up and doing some exercises to wake up his muscles before washing his face and heading to the kitchen to make breakfast.

But he stopped in his tracks when the communicator that Dr. Eggman had given it to him started to whistle. Aaron looked around to make sure no one was around before he sighed in relief before answering the call.

Aaron: Hello?

Doctor Eggman: (Communicator) Aaron! Reply! Here is Dr. Eggman, change!

Aaron: This is Aaron speaking, over. Proceed Doctor.

Doctor Eggman: (Communicator) Were you able to infiltrate?

Aaron: Yes sir, I am now officially the newest member of the Freedom Fighters.

Doctor Eggman: (Communicator) Perfect! *laughs* Everything is going according to plan. Tell me, any news about the Chaos Emeralds?

Aaron: Not many, they're after them and there's already one I found on the beach.

Doctor Eggman: (Communicator) You found an Emerald?! Why didn't you send it to me?

Aaron: I didn't have a chance, as soon as I found Esmeralda, Team Chaotix came after me, then I was taken to the Combatants' base and I had to hand over Esmeralda to gain their trust.

Doctor Eggman: (Communicator) I understand, but the important thing is that you managed to accomplish your task.

Aaron: Yes, sir.

Doctor Eggman: (Communicator) One more thing, take the time to learn from Sonic, Shadow and Knuckles, watch them in combat and learn how they fight so you can learn to better control the powers you inherited from them.

Aaron: You can leave it to me.

Doctor Eggman: (Communicator) Very well. Stay there, stay alert so they don't find out you're a spy, and keep giving me information.

Aaron: Yes sir.

Doctor Eggman: (Communicator) We will destroy the Fighters from the inside out and then the world will finally kneel before its rightful ruler, ME the great Doctor Eggman *evil chuckles*.

The scientist turned off his communicator ending the call and Aaron just sighed before walking to the kitchen to prepare something to eat.

Aaron smiled as he cooked, thanking his considerate uncles, Orbot and Cubot, for teaching him how to cook. While making her coffee the Echidna Hedgehog's attention returned to the window when she heard something hit it. Curious, he walks over to the window and looks out to see everyone getting up and picking up some mail or doing other work as Aaron watches.

Aaron: (Thoughts) The people here seem to live happily and peacefully... I know I shouldn't question the orders given to me and not even my creator... but I don't understand why Dr. Eggman wishes to put an end to this... Stop thinking nonsense Aaron, if Dr. Eggman orders you to obey his orders without question. Good soldiers follow orders.

Echidna Hedgehog's thoughts were interrupted when he heard a noise coming from his kitchen. He turns before looking around for the source of the noise, unbeknownst to him one of the bowls on the table that was upside down starts to walk on top of it before coming to a stop when Aaron's gaze lands on it.

The young Hedgehog Echidna raises an eyebrow at this before turning his back and as he does the bowl starts moving again, but soon stops when the boy quickly turns around only to see that nothing seems to be different.

Aaron: Why do I feel like there's something weird going on here?

He turns his back to the bowl once more until he hears the noise of something being dragged, he then slowly turns around to see the bowl walking on the table which gives Aaron a shocked and confused expression.

Aaron: Okay, this is really bizarre.

The Hedgehog Echidna then walks over to the table before quickly grabbing the bowl preventing it from moving further. Aaron then swallows hard before lifting the bowl when a small blue figure jumps out of it and starts flying all over the place while bouncing off the walls of the house causing Aaron to crouch for cover.

Aaron: Attack!!!

The figure bounced off the walls several times before suddenly coming to a stop. Hedgehog Echidna then got up before looking around for whatever had entered his home. He makes a complete turn only to stop when he sees the figure come back and hit him square in the face, knocking him to the ground.

Aaron: Oh...

The Hedgehog Echidna hears squeaks and feels a small weight on his face as if something small is on top of him. Aaron then opens his eyes so that three other eyes are looking at him while squeaking. Such a sight startled the boy who gave a cry.

Aaron: Aaaaahhhh!!!!!!

The creature in his face also started to scream when it was startled by the reaction of the Hedgehog Echidna before flying out of his face. Aaron however was quick as he grabbed a bowl before jumping after the small creature and capturing it with the bowl and pinning it to the ground.

Aaron: Got you!

Cautiously he lifts the bowl little by little to see a small blue creature with its back to him, the boy, but he doesn't have time to think about anything when the small creature then decides to deliver a fatal blow.

PUUMMM!

Aaron sniffed the air at the noise made by the creature before realizing that it had farted in his face. Upon realizing this he falls backwards dropping the bowl while holding his nose and having dramatic tears in his eyes.

Aaron: Crosses! What a nasty guy! Let me know when you're going to release one of these, I was even open-mouthed!

He then heard a small chuckle cut through the air before looking around to see a Blue Wisp floating in the air as he laughed several times at him with tears of joy in his three eyes.

Aaron: Not funny smartass!

The Wisp just made a funny gesture as he continued to laugh, Aaron tried to keep a straight face but failed as he started laughing too. The two laughed together for a while before Hedgehog Echidna got up while the blue Wisp posed on the table.

The boy watched him for a moment before recognizing the creature in front of him when he pointed at him as he spoke.

Aaron: Hey! I know you. You're that Blue Wisp that was at Tails' workshop, right?

The little blue creature waved smiling in response as Aaron walked towards him.

Aaron: What are you doing here buddy? Does Tails know you're here?

The Wisp just flew around the Echidna Hedgehog before landing on top of its head. Aaron looked at the blue being sitting on his head before speaking.

Aaron: I think you liked me, huh?

The Wisp nodded and hummed in response. The Hedgehog Echidna smiled at him before walking off to make breakfast.

Soon Aaron was seen eating with the Blue Wisp. The Hedgehog Echidna watched the little creature eat before thinking.

Aaron: I think you want to be with me, right?

The Wisp nodded with a happy look before going back to eating.

Aaron: But if you're staying, I have to give you a name, right? Hmm...

He brought his hand to his chin as he tried to think of a name for his new friend.

Aaron: Um... How about Blue?

The Wisp looked at him with a dissatisfied expression at the suggested name before shaking his head. Aaron scratched the back of his head with a shy smile before speaking.

Aaron: You're right, it sucks and it's too simple. I'll think of a better one. Um... I'll call you Cute Fofy.

The Wisp got a frown on his face and snorted at it while Aaron chuckled at the expression on his friend's face.

Aaron: That name caused a fierce reaction, so it's Cute Fofy.

Echidna the Hedgehog and his new friend finish their coffee, but are interrupted when they hear the doorbell ring. He and the Wisp looked at each other wondering who it was before Aaron went to answer it. He walks to the door before opening it to see Amy with a smile on her face.

Amy: Good morning Aaron. How are you?

Aaron: Hi Rose, good morning. I'm fine, thanks, wanna come in?

Amy: I would love to.

The girl walks in and the guy closes the door and goes into the kitchen to wash his dishes while Amy looks around and says.

Amy: It's quite a place, it would be nice if mine wasn't so messed up.

Aaron: Is it that bad?

Amy: You can't imagine, I stay up late taking care of various papers.

Aaron: It looks bad. I can help you if you want.

Amy: Oh no, that's fine Aaron, plus you need to train before going on a mission.

Aaron: True, I had forgotten about that.

Amy: Since your Chaos powers make you faint, I thought I'd teach you how to use Wispon.

Aaron: Sorry to bust your idea, but I don't use guns remember? Also, I have Super Strength and Super Speed, don't think I need a Wispon gun.

Pink Hedgehog gained surprise at remembering this before a slightly disappointed expression appeared on her face.

Amy: It's true... sorry if I bothered you...

The Hedgehog Echidna beat himself mentally when he saw how he had been rude to the girl and blamed himself for making her sad.

Aaron: (Thoughts) Congratulations Aaron, you rocked the girl's glee. (Out of Thoughts) Look, Amy, I didn't mean to be rude to you.

Amy: No, it's okay, I shouldn't be intruding.

Echidna the Hedgehog scratched the back of his head before looking around to see his friend Blue Wisp sitting on a basket of blueberries while eating the blueberries. Aaron then walks over to the little blue creature before carefully picking it up and showing it to the pink Hedgehog.

Aaron: How about this?

Amy then turns her gaze to him to see him holding the blue being who was looking at her curiously.

Aaron: Amy, this is my new friend Blue Wisp who I just named Cute Fofy, Cute Fofy, this is Amy, but you might already know her.

The girl soon cheered up before taking Wisp in her arms and hugging him affectionately while the little blue creature snorted with the too cute name she had received.

Amy: It's a nice name for a Wisp, but how did it get here?

Aaron: I have no idea. I think he must have followed me.

Amy: He seems to like you so I think he should stay.

Pink Hedgehog petted Wisp while she had a smile on her face.

Amy: Thanks Aaron, I needed this.

Aaron: No problem Amy, you look better with a smile.

The girl gets a blush on her cheeks as she looks away.

Amy: T-thanks. (Thoughts) I don't know why, but he reminds me a bit of Sonic.

A then looks at the Wisp in his arms before having an idea.

Amy: Aaron, I have an idea of how I can train you!

Aaron: Really? As? Will I have to use weapons?

Amy: No weapons. But you will love it.

The boy earns a curious look before asking.

Aaron: Really? What's your idea?

Amy: It's a little surprise *laughs*.

Aaron: Alright then. Ready?

Amy: Yes, I'm ready.

Aaron: Come on, we.

They leave Hedgehog Echidna's house and walk through the neighborhood while passing some people. Cute Fofy landed on Aaron's head as he looked around before asking.

Aaron: Hey Rose, can I ask you a question?

Amy: Of course you can.

Aaron: How was Knothole founded?

Amy: Well, it all started when Eggman took over our land and destroyed the Acorn Kingdom and after that built his army of robots. Knothole was founded by a surviving member of the Acorn family named Sally, she created Knothole and was also a founder of the Freedom Fighters.

The Hedgehog Echidna thinks about this for a while before remembering what Metal told him about the matter before speaking.

Aaron: Just a moment, I mean that girl I met when Dr. Was Eggman attacked at the gates a family member of the Acorn Kingdom?

Amy: Yes, she is the princess.

Aaron: (Thoughts) How come I didn't remember that? (Out of Thought) Just a moment. Is she the only family member still alive?

Amy: Yes, it is not known what happened to the rest of her family, but she still fights for them and believes that one day she will find them.

Aaron: How sad. (Thoughts) I almost feel sorry for her. I said almost and that's because I'm the villain.

Amy: Yeah.

???: Hi Amy!

They look up and see a girl walking towards them. Aaron watched her carefully, she was a Hedgehog with hair and blond hair, her hair was long and curly at the ends reaching the middle of her back, she had blue eyes, a light muzzle, a small black nose and a short tail. Her outfit consisted of a beautiful white dress, white gloves with blue wristbands, white tiara, white flower toy with blue center, and white heeled shoes.

The blonde girl walks over to them and Amy greets her with a smile.

Amy: Hi Elina, nice to see you here, how are you?

Elina: I'm fine, thank you. Who is your friend?

Amy: This is Aaron the Hedgehog Echidna, the newest member of the Freedom Fighters.

The blonde Hedgehog blinks in surprise at this before asking.

Elina: Aaron? The one who single-handedly took down Eggman's large transport ship?

Aaron: That one, miss.

Elina: Oh my apologies. I just heard rumors that you used Chaos powers to destroy Eggman's ship, that's surprising.

Aaron: Oh no, it's fine. I'm more shocked that people are talking about me.

Elina: Well, I'm glad I met you Aaron, but I have to get to work or I'll be late.

Aaron: OK, take care Elina.

Elina: Yes and you too Amy, see you later.

She then walks away as the other two watch her disappear into the streets.

Aaron: She's cool.

Amy: Yeah, she's really sweet and all the guys want to date her.

Aaron: Haha I understand why, she is very beautiful.

Amy: Come on, we don't want to be late for your training.

Aaron: Alright.

They walked away as Elina paused for a moment when she realized that the Hedgehog Echidna was somehow familiar to her, she gained the thought that he reminded her of someone, but she couldn't say who it was exactly.

Elina: (Thoughts) He's quite handsome.

Upon finding herself having these thoughts about the Echidna Hedgehog, the blonde gained a bit of a blush to her cheeks as she turned to see both Amy and said guy walking away. She was a little disappointed that she didn't have the chance to talk more with him since Aaron seemed to be a happy and fun person, she soon sighed and walked away so as not to be late.

Soon...

Amy and Aaron were in an open field while Cute Fofy flew alongside Hedgehog Echidna. Amy then holds out her hands as the Blue Wisp floats above them, Aaron stares at her as she begins to explain.

Amy: OK, as you might already know, there are many different types of Wisps. Each has different abilities that will help you in battle. Cute Fofy is a Blue Wisp. Blue Wisps have sharp minds and make excellent leaders. Whenever they decide to do something big, Blue Blues almost always succeed.

Cute Fofy then does heroic poses to look strong and powerful as Aaron rolls his eyes with a small smile.

Aaron: I'm following.

Amy: Being Wisps, Blue Wisps are calm, social, cheerful, energetic, and pure at heart. They are also peaceful, playful, non-hostile and friendly towards nature, and enjoy spending most of their time playing with others.

Aaron: Yeah, pranksters for sure.

The Echidna Hedgehog then turns his gaze to the little blue creature who laughs when he remembers the prank he played with Aaron earlier.

Amy: Touching a Blue Wisp allows you to transform into the Blue Cube for a short time, making it immune to damage and capable of destroying obstacles and enemies in a single hit by releasing volatile vibes.

Aaron: A hit?! These little guys really rock!

Amy: *laughs* Absolutely. But to use their powers safely and without using the Cube Hammer you will need a lot of training.

Aaron: Don't worry, I'm a fast learner.

The girl then gives him a challenging smile.

Amy: Alright then. How about trying then?

Aaron: Okay, what do I do?

Hedgehog smiles at this before speaking.

Amy: You'll find out. Cute Fofy, show him.

The Wisp waves with a mischievous expression before flying towards Aaron and merging with him. The Hedgehog Echidna was wide-eyed at this before speaking.

Aaron: Okay, that was a little weird.

He then feels a strange sensation in his body when he looks at Amy.

Aaron: Rose, what's going on?!

Amy: *laughs* You'll see.

The boy barely had time to ask what was going on when he felt his body change and before he knew it he disappeared in a flash of light. When the light dissipated, Aaron opened his eyes before looking down at himself and startling.

Aaron: HEY! What's that like?!

He looked down at himself to see that he had turned into a dark blue-green cube with two yellow eyes. Aaron panicked as he tried to move, but his actions were in vain.

Aaron: Amy! Help here!

He then looks at the girl holding her belly, trying not to laugh, but seeing his friend's despair, the girl ended up bursting into laughter.

Aaron: Seriously, Rose. Is this really fun?

He gave her a bored look as he continued to chuckle before slowly calming down.

Amy: Wow *laughs* I have to remember that one.

Aaron: *sarcastic* Hahaha, forgive me for not jumping for joy.

The girl soon calmed down as Aaron decided to ask.

Aaron: Have you laughed enough?

Amy: Yes.

Aaron: Good, but now tell me. WHAT THE FUCK WAS THERE WITH ME ROSE?!

Amy: Calm down you silly, that's the power of the Blue Wisp. When you turn into a cube you must hit the ground to cause the earthquake.

Aaron: Jump? Just that?

Amy: Yes.

The Hedgehog Echidna then forces itself up just to try to make a jump, but it doesn't move.

Aaron: It didn't work out.

Amy: You're really nervous, try to relax.

He blinks at this before taking a deep breath before opening his eyes with a serious expression before taking a small leap in the air before landing on the ground only for the fusion to undo and Aaron to fall to the ground as Cute Fofy floats out of the air. from him.

Aaron: It didn't work out.

Amy: Duh I get it, that's why I said you would need to train to learn how to use the Blue Wisp's power.

Aaron: It's hard, it's going to be a lot of work.

Amy: You will, but I'm sure you can.

The boy lets out a sigh before getting up and dusting himself off before earning a determined look.

Aaron: Right! I can do it! Come on Cute Cute!

The Wisp nodded with a determined expression as the two continued their training.

A while passed and the same scene was repeated over and over again, Aaron kept failing to use the power of his Wisp and whenever he tried, he and Cute Fofy ended up separating when the fusion broke down and ended with Aaron being thrown away or buried in the ground. But Aaron was determined to make it if it took all day.

But his failure was repeated.

Aaron: One more time!

And he failed.

Aaron: One more time!

And failed.

Aaron: One more time!

And failed again.

Soon Aaron and Cute Fofy were seen lying on the floor while sweating and breathing heavily. Amy who was watching them train walked towards them with a worried look.

Amy: Aaron, Cute Fofy, are you alright there?

The two couldn't even respond because they were too tired to form any words. Amy upon seeing this decided it was time to stop.

Amy: Okay, I guess that's enough for today-

Aaron: Not yet!

He then starts to slowly stand up as he speaks.

Aaron: I can't give up that easily, if I do I won't be worthy of being chosen by Cute Fofy, I won't deserve his loyalty.

The Hedgehog Echidna then jumps to its feet when it looks at its friend Wisp.

Aaron: I want to be able to be a good friend and companion to this little guy. If I can't even wield a Wisp, then I don't think I deserve to even partner up and be a part of the Freedom Fighters.

Amy: Be careful not to hurt yourself, okay?

Aaron: Don't worry. I was born to be the strongest and I will succeed!

Amy earned a surprised look at the Hedgehog Echidna's statement while Cute Fofy shared the same determined look as Aaron.

Aaron: Let's rock buddy!

He and the blue creature waved at each other before the Wisp flew towards him once more. The two merged and Aaron leapt into the air before transforming into a cube as green bolts swirled around him.

The cube-shaped Hedgehog Echidna descended straight to the ground slamming the ground hard creating a powerful shock wave that caused the earth to tremble as electricity and green colored energy waves spread out with the shock wave.

The dust settled, Aaron was seen back to normal with Cute Fofy flying beside him as they looked around to see that he had finally managed to master the cube skill. The Hedgehog Echidna jumped in glee as the Wisp flew around him victoriously, the two then exchanged a punch before Aaron looked for the pink Hedgehog.

Aaron: We did it! Amy, did you see? We did it!

When the dust finally disappeared he could see the said girl lying on the floor unconscious, such a sight made Aaron wide-eyed before running to the girl and starting to shake her while talking worriedly.

Aaron: Oh no! Rose! Talk to me girl! What did I do, I didn't mean to hurt you! Wake up Amy, for Emerald Master wake up and tell me I didn't kill you!

He held her in his arms as he tried to wake her up. The girl slowly opened her eyes while blinking slowly when she heard a voice call out to her. Looking at the source of the voice she saw the silhouette of someone familiar, due to being dizzy she was seeing Sonic instead of Aaron.

Amy: S-Sonic...? (Thoughts) H-He's here, holding me in his arms, I feel so happy.

She brought her face close to his as she spoke with dreamy eyes.

Amy: S-Sonic... I'm so glad you're here...!

The Echidna Hedgehog however raised an eyebrow upon realizing that she was mistaken for the Blue Hedgehog.

Aaron: (Thoughts) Oh no! She thinks I'm Sonic!

He tried to push her away, but she wrapped her hand around his neck, pulling him closer.

Aaron: (Thoughts) Oh no! Rose! I know I look like Sonic, but I sure as hell am not that Hedgehog!

Amy pulled him closer while Aaron tried to push her away, but he was soon surprised by the strength the girl had. The boy looked at his Wisp before asking for help, but Cute Fofy just watched the scene unfold as he laughed at the situation his new friend had gotten himself into.

There were a few centimeters left for the two to kiss and seeing that there was nothing to do he gave up seeing that he would not be able to escape.

Aaron: (Thoughts) I didn't think my first kiss would happen like this...

But when Amy was about to close the gap between her lips a voice was heard.

???: Well, well, well, what do we have here?

A appears to have awakened Amy from her delusion as she and Aaron look into the source of the voice to see someone no one expected to see.

Amy: R-Rouge?!

Aaron turned his gaze to the Bat in front of her as he watched her closely.

The girl in front of him was an anthropomorphic Bat with white fur, tan skin, blue-green eyes with eyelashes, and a curvy figure. She has large pointed ears, small fangs, a small black nose on her muzzle with a pink lipstick, a short, pointed tail, and a pair of dark purple wings on her back. Only her head appears to have fur, which extends into six spikes at the back forming her short hair. Rouge wears blue powder eyeshadow and pink lipstick.

Her typical attire consists of a black, tight-fitting, strapless jumpsuit with a pink heart-shaped breastplate with white trim, along with long white gloves and high-heeled boots with pink cuffs. Her boots also have gray soles and feature pink hearts on the toes.

Rouge's sudden appearance brought Amy back to reality as she and Aaron looked at each other before the girl realized that she was hugging him and dreaming that he was her Blue Hedgehog.

Amy lets go of Aaron who pulls away with a tiny, almost imperceptible blush as he scratches the back of his neck and sighs in relief as Amy stands up and looks away with a flush of embarrassment on her face. Rouge gives a little laugh from the two which makes the Hedgehog Echidna nervous.

Aaron: That was close, right?

Rouge: Sorry if I interrupted the couple.

Aaron: It's not what you're thinking! It was by accident, I was just training and then-

The Bat smiles at him when she speaks.

Rouge: No need to say anything honey, this is going to be our little secret, but if you should find a room to do it, don't you think?

The Bats' words make the pink Hedgehog blush heavily as he tries to explain.

Amy: It's not like that, Rouge!

Rouge laughs, walks up to Aaron and says.

Rouge: You really are a very handsome Hedgehog Echidna, I wouldn't mind giving you a peck too.

She slowly moved closer to Aaron's face which surprised him as he blushed and backed up a few steps while looking away.

Aaron: Who-maybe some other time *nervous laughter*.

The Bat then smiles seductively at him before speaking.

Rouge: I'll remember that dear.

She then gave him a wink as he looked away while laughing nervously. It was then that a voice called out to him.

Shadow: Rouge, this is not what we came for.

They then turn their gaze to see Shadow walking towards them with a less than happy expression.

Aaron: (Thoughts) Oh no.

The Black Hedgehog then turned his gaze to Aaron. The Hedgehog Echidna already suspected the reason for the unhappy expression that Shadow was giving him, but he decided to make a fool of himself.

Shadow: I want answers, Aaron.

Aaron: It would be nice if I knew the questions, Shad.

Shadow: Grrr don't call me that you annoying bastard. But let me clarify for you. You're late for your workout.

Aaron: It's not that I'm late, it's that I forgot.

Shadow: I need you to take this seriously!

Aaron: Yes sir!

The Echidna Hedgehog gave a soldier's salute which the Black Hedgehog decided to just ignore.

Shadow: You need some combat training, so I sent Rouge to pick you up, but it looks like she has other plans.

The Bat smiles in response before speaking.

Rouge: Oh, don't be jealous Shad, I'm just looking at a beautiful piece of jewelry in front of me.

She then looks at Aaron who stiffens at this as he talks nervously.

Aaron: H-What's the story m-girl?

Shadow: Enough of that! Let's go to your combat training and Rouge, stay focused.

Rouge: You can.

Aaron: Will you train me in combat? What kind of training is this?

Shadow: A very difficult one, I want you to be ready for anything.

Aaron: I know how to fight okay. I was born for this.

Shadow: That's what I'm going to say.

Amy: Wait, are you sure about this, Shadow? What if he gets hurt?

Shadow: He seems to be tough and needs to prepare for anything, he needs to learn that things are never easy. I hope you're ready Aaron.

Aaron: Can't it be that hard?

Shadow: You're going to want to eat those words.

The Hedgehog Echidna gulped before he and his Wisp looked at each other while the boy had a fearful expression on his face.

KABOOOMMM!!!

Explosions could be seen all over the battlefield as one poor Hedgehog Echidna ran and jumped all over the place trying to escape everything thrown at him while having a panicked look on his face.

Aaron: I'm going to turn into an old rag if I keep this up!

He ran across the field while doing everything possible and impossible to dodge the many shots, missiles and flames of fire that were launched at him without rest. In the center of the field the Omega robot was seen attacking poor Hedgehog Echidna while stomping towards him.

The E-123 Omega's design is vaguely reminiscent of the E-102 Gamma, while it stands out with a beefier upper body and strong arms with red eyes instead of green ones. Aaron disappeared from view, the Omega looked for him everywhere as he took a complete turn looking at the field, but there was no sign of the Echidna Hedgehog. It was then that a voice echoed from the various holes that Aaron had dug in the field, the others then began to hear the voice and it seemed that the green boy was singing.

He then goes back underground just in time when several shots almost miss him.

A few moments pass and Aaron continues to sing his song as he continues with his plan. Soon he jumps out of one of the holes before getting Omega's attention.

Aaron: Hey Omega! Look here, come here and get me an old tin!

Omega turns to him angrily for being insulted before starting to walk towards the Equine Hedgehog while stomping his feet. Aaron watches closely as the robot's feet begin to sink a little into the ground and just as he expected, Omega was right in the center of his trap.

Aaron grinned at this before leaping into the air and slamming his fist down on the ground causing the earth to shake from the blow. Omega stumbled back as the ground beneath him gave way and he fell into a trapdoor Aaron had made by digging his tunnels.

The robot toppled to the bottom of the hole when it landed on top of the mines Aaron had collected, which resulted in a huge explosion. Earth and sand flew everywhere while a cloud of smoke was seen in the hole where the killing machine was.

Aaron walked to the hole when the dust cleared before jumping into it and landing on top of Omega who was covered in sand.

Aaron: I trashed you.

He then closed his fist before reaching out to punch the machine which soon gave up.

The others looked shocked at this and confused at the same time.

Tails: Did he beat Omega?

Sonic: But how?

Shadow: He was pretty smart. Aaron dug a series of tunnels deep below the Omega and used the mines I had placed in the ground. After that he only needed to bring Omega into his trap and his plan was complete.

Amy: Oh, what a smartass he is.

Rouge: He's better than I thought.

Black Hedgehog then walks over to the two while Aaron helps Omega to his feet.

Shadow: Training over, Aaron go find Princess Sally in the control room to meet his new partner.

Omega nods in response and walks away as Aaron slowly peers around to see what looks like a war has broken out in the place. He looks down at himself to see that he was covered in dirt and grime before he sighs and then shakes himself off like a dog to get the dust off his body before he goes to answer the call.

Before that, however, he remembered to leave his Wisp Cute Fofy with the other Wisps in Tails' workshop so they could play with him while Aaron went about his business.

A while later...

Later that day, we see Sonic and Aaron walking through the woods as the Hedgehog Echidna cracks his neck and twirls his arms looking tired before Sonic asks him with a smile.

Sonic: Training with Omega just blew you away, didn't it?

Aaron: Don't even get me started, but it was kind of fun. (Thoughts) Fun, humpf, okay. I'd rather train with Metal in Sudden Death mode than Omega again.

The Hedgehog Echidna yawns before deciding to ask something.

Aaron: Hey Sonic.

Sonic: Speak friend.

Aaron: As you know, I have speedster powers like you, but I still don't have much control, so I thought I'd ask you for some advice on that.

Sonic placed his hand on his chin thinking about it for a moment before speaking.

The guy just looked at the girl with a confused look on his face before it turned into a smile and he started laughing.

Sticks looked at him with a confused look on her face before asking.

He then gives the girl an amused smile before speaking.

He then dashes towards the robots before leaping into the air and descending towards them when he delivers a powerful punch to the ground sending out a powerful impact wave that causes the machines to shake and fall to the ground stunned by the tremor. Aaron then takes advantage of this when he skates across the ground while hitting several of the machines with Spin Dash both on land and on land.

Meanwhile elsewhere in the city two of the robots are seen surrounding two people until a tail is wrapped around one of the machine's legs when Tangle pulls it hard and spins it in the air before throwing it at another robot creating an explosion while the Lemur takes them all out of the place.

Sticks in turn was seen running towards one of the machines before throwing his boomerang hard in the robot's face leaving him a little stunned and meanwhile the Badger girl took the opportunity to jump on top of him before using her boomerang to open a lid on the back of the machine.

She saw several strands inside before starting to pull them out one by one before jumping away to safety. Sticks' action, however, ended up causing problems in the machine that started shooting at the other robots who in turn shot back which resulted in both sides shooting each other before being blown up.

However while Sticks had his back one of the robots locked its sights on the girl and when he was about to shoot her, Aaron fell hard on top of the robot while joining his hands and giving a powerful punch to the head of the machine that was flattened in the same instant .

The robot, however, was not finished with its functions when it activated its self-destruction and began to beep. Aaron was alerted by this before quickly jumping on top of Sticks to protect her from the exploding machine which soon exploded.

The Hedgehog Echidna soon got up before looking at the machine so that there was only ashes left of it. The boy then looks at Sticks below him before asking.

Aaron: Hey partner, how are you?

Sticks: It's okay, I'll survive.

Aaron then gets off her before helping her to her feet.

Sticks: We need to figure out these things.

Aaron: I agree, we need a plan.

Sticks: I wish we were in the forest, then they would see how many ropes make a trap.

The Echidna Hedgehog thought about what the girl said for a moment before having an idea.

Aaron: That's it! Sticks you are a genius!

Sticks: Am I?

Aaron: I had an idea. It will work like my training with Omega, I dug a series of tunnels to make a trap, let's do the same thing, but on a larger scale. I can dig the tunnels, but I need you and Tangle to distract the robots and find a way to make them stay in one place. You can do it?

He looked over at the girl to see her looking up at him with stars in her eyes and a proud expression that left the guy a little confused.

She runs to tell the plan to the Lemur who nods in agreement as Aaron nods to both of them before punching the ground and starting to dig as he disappears underground.

Sticks and Tangle soon tried to gather the death machines in one place while doing their best not to get blown up in the process.

Sticks: Are you ready Aaron?

Aaron: *echo* Not yet, still distracting.

The machines then started advancing towards the two girls who were doing their best to keep the machines in the same place.

Tangle: What now, Aaron?!

Aaron: *echo* Not yet, still distracting.

The robots started shooting at Badger and Lemur who were doing their best not to be hit. A hole then opens up in the ground in front of the two looking into it before the Hedgehog Echidna pokes its head out.

Aaron: Now?

Sticks: Sure, if you're ready.

Aaron then looks back to see the machines in place starting to walk towards them. The boy then leaps into the air before descending towards the ground while spinning when he lands a powerful punch on the ground that makes the ground shake as Sticks and Tangle struggle not to fall from the earthquake.

The machines in turn felt the ground beneath them begin to give way as the ground caved in and they fell into a hole dug by the Hedgehog Echidna. Some of the robots were crushed when others fell on top of them and the ones that weren't distracted started to climb the walls of the hole which worried Aaron and the two girls.

Tangle: They're coming back!

Sticks: This is too bad.

Aaron: I hadn't thought of that.

The boy then turns his gaze to the sky to see the attacking ship withdraw before looking at the robots starting to reach the edge of the hole, his gaze went to the sky and the robots a few more times before he looked back to the hands and have an idea.

Aaron: I have one more idea.

Sticks: Which one?

Aaron: You'll see.

Sticks: Now you're being the mysterious one.

The Hedgehog Echidna laughed at this before speaking.

Aaron: I need you to step aside.

Tangle: Why?

Aaron: For your safety.

The two girls looked at each other in confusion before nodding and running away.

Aaron watched them walk away before looking back at the robots and earning a serious look on his face.

Aaron: I'm gonna rock!

He then leaps into the air and disappears in a flash of energy as he teleports and reappears in the sky right above the hole where the machines were.

Aaron then braces himself as he speaks.

Aaron: Renzoku Kikodan!

He then brings his arms to the sides of his body when he charges energy, and then throws his hands forward one after the other as he quickly fires many blasts of energy towards the robots.

Those present at the scene, upon hearing the scream, looked to the sky to see Aaron who started his attack when several blasts of energy descended towards the ground like a light show before colliding with the machines that were inside the hole.

Explosions were heard as the machines were hit by the energy blasts while being destroyed by the attacks. After several more blows Aaron ceased his attack when all that was left in the hole was a large burn mark and a pile of scrap iron from what was Dr. Eggman.

People applauded and clapped when they saw the boy's feat.

Aaron breathed tiredly when he felt dizzy and tiredness got the better of him when the Hedgehog Echidna started to fall from the sky.

Sticks gained a worried look on his face as he saw his partner plummet out of the sky and land straight to the ground kicking up a cloud of dust and leaving a small crater in the place of his fall.

Badger didn't take long to run to him worried before holding him in her arms and calling him.

Sticks: Aaron! Hey partner, say something!

The boy groaned rubbing his head before speaking weakly.

Aaron: S-Sticks... I need to tell you something...

The girl approached him before asking curiously.

Sticks: What is it?

Aaron: Please... come closer...

Badger got closer to him when his faces were inches apart, the boy then spoke.

Aaron: I-I... I...

Sticks: You?

Aaron: I... I'm hungry.

...

...

...

Sticks: THAT'S WHAT YOU HAVE TO TELL ME?!

She then smacks the guy in the head while scolding him as Tangle watches the scene and can't help but laugh.

Later that day...

Aaron was seen in the control room with Sally when the Princess turned to him with a smile on her face.

Sally: You did a great job partnering with Sticks.

Aaron: I appreciate Sally. Sticks is a little paranoid, but I liked her.

Sally: I'm glad about that.

The holo pad then lights up as Nicole's image appears.

Nicole's simulated body takes the form of a brown Mobian lynx, the ends of her long triangular ears are black, and her face features cheek tufts on her muzzle and a stripe along the bridge of her black nose, as well as one under each. one of her green eyes. She has medium-length black hair with split ends that she wears and a tail. Meanwhile, we see Aaron in the cafeteria with one hand full of blueberries as he and his Wisp Cute Fofy eat the delicious blue berries.

Elina soon entered the cafeteria and saw Aaron sitting with his little blue alien friend, the girl soon got excited, because this was her chance to talk to him. She takes a deep breath and walks over to him.

Elina: H-Hi Aaron, do you remember me?

The Echidna Hedgehog looks at the blonde girl before gaining a smile on his face.

Aaron: Hi Miss Elina, glad to see you again.

Elina: C-Can I sit with you?

Aaron: Of course.

Elina sat next to him when Cute Fofy looks at her curiously. Aaron soon notices this before speaking.

Aaron: Hey, I didn't introduce you to my little friend. Elina, this is my friend Wisp Cute Fofy. Cute Fofy, meet Elina.

The blue Wisp beckons to the girl who grabs him in a loving embrace.

Elina: Ooohhh what a cute name for such a cute Wisp.

The girl caresses Wisp who smiles happily while Aaron smiles at both of them.

Aaron: Sounds like he liked you.

Elina: He's so cute!

The Hedgehog Echidna continued to eat the little blue berries before speaking.

Aaron: I didn't ask before, where do you work?

Elina: Me? Oh nothing major just a flower shop.

Aaron: So a good store should be.

Elina: Thank you, I run the store with some friends of mine. You can come visit if you like.

Aaron: Because of him!

The boy gains a haunted look on his face as he points in a direction. Elina follows the Echidna Hedgehog's gaze only to see a Black Hedgehog walking towards him with a less than happy expression.

Shadow: Aaron!

Aaron swallows hard when he sees the look the Black Hedgehog is giving him as a panicked expression crosses Aaron's gaze. He then turns to Elina and as he pushes back his chair and stands up.

Aaron: Jeez, look at the time, I better get out of here before I turn into an old rag.

Elina: Training, isn't it?

Aaron: Trust me Blondie, you don't want to be trained by the ultimate lifeform and its big killer robot.

Shadow: There you are rookie!

Aaron: (Thoughts) Screw it.

Before it's too late Aaron takes off running and Shadow chases after him as they leave the mess hall and skate past the base one after the other as Elina watches them leave and laughs a little and thinks to herself.

Elina: (Thoughts) Aaron, you're such a silly boy, but you remind me of someone... I think I like him.

About that...

On the basis of Dr. Eggman, we see the mustachioed scientist looking at footage of Aaron fighting his army of robots with Sticks. The Doctor gets a smile on his face when he realizes that his creation was starting to evolve its powers.

Doctor Eggman: Finally! Finally Project Aaron is starting to evolve. *evil laughs*

So Dr. Eggman snaps his fingers and two dark figures appear behind him as Dr. Eggman turns to them and says while showing a picture of Aaron.

Doctor Eggman: I want you to start testing Aaron, but don't hurt him, he's too important.

The two nod and they disappear into the darkness as Dr. Eggman returns to the screen with a smile on his face.

Doctor Eggman: (Thoughts) You're progressing more and more Aaron, everything is going the way I want huhuhuhuhu. Soon I will rule the world once and for all!

The scientist then gives an evil laugh to his Evil Plan as everything goes black.
