Chapter 122

"You should patch things up with Ryenne." Brie suggested as she handed her brother a glass of wine to refresh himself.

They had been in the dungeon for hours, breaking and healing Marcus.

"I wonder if I can torture his mind too?" Nicholas said out loud, asking no one in particular.

It was only him and Brie left in the dungeons, the Clan leaders had long left to see to matters of their clans.

"Nicholas, you need to rest too." She said as she massaged her brother's shoulders. "I can use my magic so that the dead will haunt him in his sleep. Then you can try new tortures again."

Nicholas sighed and nodded.

He placed his hand on Brie's shoulder and filled her mana mark. He knew that the magic she planned to do would take a lot from her.

It was much more technical and involved the souls of others.

"Thank you." Brie whispered. "You should step out of the cell. I don't want them clinging on to you too."
