When Ryenne arrived in Nicholas' private chambers, he smiled and waved her over.
"Congratulations, my king!" Ryenne said as she bowed deeply. "I heard of your victory from the citizens of Kronos."
In order to protect the king's future wife and his child that was growing in her, Nicholas had sent Ryenne to hide among the citizens.
He knew that if she was hidden separately or in the palace, should he have lost, Marcus would have known that she was different.
At first Ryenne had put up a fight, not wanting to hide or stay in the sidelines. She wanted to fight with Princess Brie, but Nicholas reminded her of the life growing in her.
"You don't need to be so formal, Ryenne." Nicholas said as he carefully watched her.
He could sense that she was acting differently, he just couldn't understand why.
"You summoned me?" Ryenne asked as he lifted her head, gazing into the prince's eyes.
"Yes, come, join me in bed." Nicholas told her as he gestured for her to climb the large bed.
