Nicholas stood inside the palace dungeons, the metal grates separated him from Marcus.
"Shouldn't you have killed him?" Brie asked as she stood two steps behind Nicholas.
"I should have, yes." Nicholas said as he watched Marcus stir. He was waking up, Nicholas knew that it would take him that long to recover.
"So why are you keeping him prisoner?" Brie asked her brother.
"He has to pay for what he did." Nicholas glared at Marcus as he waited for his younger brother to regain consciousness.
"You can't keep him like this for long." Brie warned Nicholas. "Just like you he has Cruor blood flowing in his veins, he cannot be easily dealt with."
Nicholas nodded, listening to his sister's warning.
"Owain will know that Marcus is still alive." Brie added.
"I know." Nicholas told his sister. "I'm counting on it."
"What are you plotting, brother?" Brie asked as she watched Marcus, worried that he would wake up and attack them at any moment.
