CH 08 ~ Bringing Her Back

Alex went back to his company with a gloomy face.

He thought today they will start a new beginning, where he won't have to hide his feelings anymore but what the hell is wrong with Rennie?

She is deliberately avoiding him without giving any chance to clear up their misunderstanding.

'She should at least listen to me first before keep being angry...'

"Alexander Crawford! You stupid brainless man! How the hell, the son i gave birth to can be this stupid?"

"!!!"

Right at that moment, Alexander's mother Bianka came in with stomping footsteps and burst into his office room.

"Mom... What brings you here?"

In Alex's whole life, he only fears one person...

That's his mother Bianka.

Although she looks gentle but only he and his father knows how fierce she is.

"You wanted to divorce Rennie? For real? The daughter-in-law that i seduced so hard, to marry you off?"

Bianka spoke as she sat on the sofa as she crossed her legs with a frustrated face.

This morning, she called Rennie to know what her stupid son gave her for their anniversary.

But as her phone was switched off, Bianka called at their landline telephone where the butler told her about the divorce papers.

Bianka was so angry at her eldest son that she couldn't even eat her breakfast.

Behind her stood a teenage boy, who was holding his mother's bag and looked the same as Alex.

'Brother is dead today... why not kill him directly?'

"This is why i should have been the one to marry sister Rennie. Am not unromantic like someone-"

Alaric Crawford paused on her words as he felt his older brother's killing gaze on him and hide behind their mother like some kitten.

Alex felt his forehead throbbing in pain and rubbed his forehead before speaking in a low voice.

"How the hell you seduced her, mom?"

"If it was not me then how can she marry a beast without any brains like you?

You only went on few dates with her before your marriage, where i spent time in shopping and playing with her even after your marriage!"

"..."

"Mom, Are you implying that she married me just to play with you?"

"Of course!"

"..."

Alex wondered who is the real brainless one here.

"...I know i was wrong to draft the divorce papers at first but i didn't wanted that!

Who knew that Jeremy will deliver her the papers without even telling me?"

"Then why the hell you draft that damn papers at the first place?"

"I was just angry at her father, mom. I thought she knew about that and vented my anger on her."

Bianka couldn't speak anything after hearing that.

She knew about the contract but she still liked Rennie a lot and tried to bring them more closer.

She believed it was not Rennie but she couldn't convince her brainless son.

Beside, Bianka didn't knew that there was time limit in the contract.

This is why she didn't mentioned anything as she thought that they are already married, So that contact shouldn't matter anymore.

"I don't know anything... i just want a grandson to play with."

"I also want a little niece!"

Alex looked at his mother and brother, who looked like they won't go unless he gives a satisfying answer and sighed.

"She signed the papers then blocked me in every social accounts and went to a buisness trip. I can't even talk to her and here you are asking for a grandchild."

"Just seduce her again, you dumbass. The only advantage that you have over other mens, is your marriage certificate with her and your damn face!

Do you think she lacks money or man? The moment she wants, there will be a big lines of rich and handsome mans infront of her house."

Bianka's words hit Alex where it hurts.

'Yeah, That's true. She has a line of pursuers.

I had a hard time to get rid of them previously.

If she becomes interested in anyone else after being frustrated over me then...'

Alex snapped back to the present as he thought of that possibility.

His mother is right. The only advantage he has is the marriage certificate with her right now.

If she wants a divorce then there is no way she can't get it with the power she holds.

Rennie just stays low but actually she is equal or can be said more powerful then him if she needed to be.

There is no way that Alex can stop her if she wanted a divorce.

She can get it done even without his agreement.

'No, I can't let her divorce me...'

He took his suit from the chair and rushed out with big steps.

"Hey! You damn beast! Where are you going?!"

Bianka shouted from behind as Aleric tilted his head to watch the drama.

"To get your daughter-in-law back home..."

"Good Luck, Son!!! Mommy loves you!!!"

"Love you too, Mom!"

Alex gave a flying kiss to his mother before he rushed out to find Rennie with determination.

'It was a mistake of mine to misunderstood her and it's my responsibility to let her know about it.'

'I have already dragged this matter this long by not asking about it properly; i should explain it to her and be honest this time.'

In the car~

"Neil, Find out where Rennie is and drive there."

Alex instructed his secretary as he got into the car.

"Madam is in Blue Sea City. They are currently promoting Madam's new work 'Blue Love' there, near the sea."

'Blue love and Blue Sea... She really knows how to use natural resources for her advantage.'

Neil passed Alex the ipad, that was showing the live stream of her conference after he finished speaking.

Rennie was wearing a beautiful blue mermaid cutted gown which was basically strapless but she wore a thin white shawl over it.

'Did she wore it to hide my marks from other's?'

Alex chuckled at the thought of that. She was drunk but he wasn't.

So, he clearly remembers all the details from last night where he left hickey's all over her body.

'Why are you so cute, Ren?'

Alex thought as he zoomed the video to watch her more closely as she introduced her new design.

He was watching her with a smile on his face when a question from a reporter caught his attention and he watched it with more curiosity.

"CEO Millicent, Can you explain some details about your new work?"

A reporter asked and Rennie smiled at him before she picked up the microphone to speak.

"This work represents my teenage crush. I was inspired by his blue eyes to make this design when i was in highschool."

The journalists almost thought they misheard.

The mighty CEO of Millicent Corporation, the flawless billionaire woman with no scandal, the national daughter-in-law had a teenage crush which she still remembers?

They wondered how many young boys will get heart broken because of this news.

"His eyes were like this deep blue sea, full of secrets and mystery which needed me to dive deeper and deeper to find his love for me in those ocean like blue eyes."

Rennie spoke as she remembered how deeply she used to stare at Alex's deep blue eyes to find warmth for her whenever they laid on the bed together.

As soon as Rennie finished speaking, the lights was turned off and the spotlight fall upon a glass box.

Inside of it was a jewellery set which was made from blue diamonds.

"The neck locket means ones deep love from heart, the ear rings is the whisper of love, the braclets represents that they are forever bond with you...

And the ring presents their vows to be together for their rest of life."

The whole conference room started to clap loudly as they admired the unique design.

Where Alex, who was watching the live telecast glanced at the ring in his finger which was identical to the one on the screen.

'We have meet each other during highschool. So, i am the person she is talking about right?'

But then a reporter suddenly asked a question which took aback Rennie for some moment.

"CEO Millicent, President Crawford also have blue eyes, Is he the person you had a crush on during your teenage?"

"..."

Rennie becomes silent, which made the reporters think that they guessed it right.

Even Alex was holding his breathe to hear her answer.

'She is going public with our relationship, right?'

'I don't mind it tho-'

But soon his hopes was shattered into pieces.

"President Crawford is not the only guy with blue eyes. We are just merely buisness partners which can be considered as friend."
