CH 09 ~ Threatening Her

Rennie's answer made the reporters feel pity for Alex, who was just friend zoned by Rennie.

Even if Alex pretended to not care but every time there was a rumour about him with Rennie, he never told them to take it down.

But if it's with someone else, that company will went close to bankruptcy.

They knew Alex had different feelings for her but just now, she just shattered all the hopes for him.

"Rennieeeh!"

Right then, A loud voice rang from behind and everyone turned their heads on the direction of the entrance.

A tall man, who was wearing a blue suit came in gracefully and walked towards the stage with a smile on his handsome face.

He had a bunch of red roses on his hands and his blue eyes was glued to the woman in-front of him.

"IT'S ALEXANDER CRAWFORD!!!"

"WHAT'S PRESIDENT CRAWFORD DOING HERE?!"

"IS HE HERE FOR CEO MILLICENT?"

"BUT SHE JUST SAID THEY ARE JUST FRIENDS!"

All the people in the hall was stunned because of Alex's sudden appearance out of nowhere.

Specially Rennie, who was looking at him with a dumb expression.

'How did he know that am here? And why is he coming to the stage?'

Alex ignored all the questioning glares at him and walked on the stage as he handed the bouquet of red roses to Rennie.

Then he also took the microphone away from her forcefully as Rennie didn't wanted to give it to him.

Who knew what he is up to?

"Hello everyone. I know you all are shocked because of my sudden appearance but how can i miss CEO Millicent's promote conference as her one of the Business Friend?"

Alex spoke with a smile but everyone knew he was angry because of his tone.

He even specially mentioned 'Business Friend' deliberately to tease her, which meant he have seen the live broadcast before coming here.

"Woooah!!!!!!"

"One is denying where the other one is giving hints!"

"Do they think we don't understand?"

"..."

Rennie was speechless where Alex felt proud because they thought the reporters understood their unspoken hidden relationship.

"There is no way, President Crawford can pursue a woman like CEO Millicent with his low EQ."

"Yeah, CEO Millicent likes romantic guys and everyone knows she doesn't likes red roses."

"..."

"CEO Millicent was right. President Crawford is not the only guy with blue eyes, it must be someone else."

"They didn't even went to the same highschool. Her crush can't be him."

Rennie felt like burst out into laughter as she saw Alex's face becoming more darker as the reporters continued to gossip about how he is not a perfect match with her.

But then Alex suddenly looked at her which surprised her and his smrik told her that he is up to no good.

"Alexander Crawford, Don't you dare to create a mess for me right now!"

Rennie spoke in a low voice with her gritted teeth.

Alex's playful face made her feel fearful that this man might declare their relationship this instant.

"You dare to friendzone me... But don't you know that friends shouldn't know how they taste?"

"..."

Alex whispered in her ears with his hands on her shoulders like he was giving her a formal hug while congratulating her.

But he deliberately let her shawl slip down a little from her shoulders so people could see a few love bites on her neck.

"Waaah! WHAT'S THIS…????"

"LOVE BITES????"

"BUT ISN'T SHE SINGLE?!"

"DOES SHE HAVE A HIDDEN BOYFRIEND?!"

The conference hall become chaotic as the reporters noticed the bite marks on her neck.

Rennie widened her light brown eyes in shock or more preciously, out of embarrassment.

She stomped on Alex's feet angrily as she fixed her shawl and glared at him.

Then once again, Alex deliberately moved her left hand so that the reporters could notice the ring on his finger.

"Isn't it the ring from the jewellery set which was displayed before?!"

"How did President Crawford managed to get it?"

"Those love bites...then the ring... Do they have an relationship?"

People kept on whispering and Rennie finally couldn't take it anymore.

"The conference has ended, please don't leave without enjoying the evening party."

In other words, they can leave after deleting all the pictures of Alex's appearance and only write what she wants without any unnecessary gossips.

Which made Alex frown.

'Why does she always hides herself from the world and our relationship?'

'Does she thinks am not worthy of her or am a disgrace?'

Alex thought as except some people and selected reporters, no one knows how she looks.

The world knows 'CEO MILLICENT' only by her name but not by her face.

Even if someone posted her pictures, they would be taken down immediately.

The first thing she asked for after their marriage was to keep their relationship hidden.

'I know i was a foolish bastard before, but can't she atleast share something with me?'

Alex kept on thinking as he chased after Rennie, who had left the conference room angrily.

Rennie was angry because of Alex's sudden appearance and his words.

'If they know about him, I can't-'

"Ren, Let's talk!"

Alex spoke as he caught her wrist to stop her.

Rennie looked around to see if someone saw them first before she tried to free her wrist from his grip.

"We have nothing to talk about."

"..."

"Is that so?

Your father forced me to get married with you in a whimp and then disappear, you clearly loved me from the very beginning but now you are pretending not to...

What are you people trying to do?!"

Alex asked as he pulled her closer to him by moving her hands on her back and he firmly caught her wrist so that she can't move.

Even if Rennie was 1.7 m tall, she still looked shorter infront of the 1.9 m tall Alex.

"Let go! People might see us!"

"WHY ARE YOU SO AFRAID OF PEOPLE SEEING US?!"

Alex unconsciously spoke out loudly which made Rennie flinch and he understood he has done wrong.

'I should be gentle... Why am i messing up our relationship even more by yelling at her?'

He loosen his grip over her wrist and Rennie distanced herself from him a little.

"It's still early..."

Rennie spoke as she cheaked the time on her phone and continued to speak.

"Then we can grab a lunch-"

"I have signed the divorce papers, we can go to the civil affairs bureau right now to complete the procedure."

"..."

Alex's face turned more darker and a evil laugh appeared on his face.

He was thinking about taking her out to a dinner and then talk about the contract proposed by her father and everything else.

But here she was thinking about finalising their divorce.

'Why are you suddenly so determined to leave me?'

"What are you waiting for? Let's go-"

Before Rennie could complete her words, Alex had gone ahead of her and carried her on his shoulders in one swift movement.

In that position Rennie could only see the floor and felt like blood rushing into her brain as her body was upside down.

"Alexander Crawford!! Put me down!"

Rennie yelled at Alex as she felt dizzy.

But Alex paid no attention to her words and she continued to yell at him.

"Stop moving or else am going to post the picture of our marriage certificate!"

Alex spoke as he slapped her butt to make her stop struggling.

He felt like everything is going out of his hands and he can't catch her again if she escapes this time.

Rennie's face turned red as she was slapped in her butt that too in a public place.

"Have you gone crazy?"

"Yes! I have gone crazy because of you, Rennie!"

Rennie felt frustrated as she couldn't understand Alex's current behaviour at all.

Not only he prepared divorce papers and slept with her right after that, now he also want to publicise their relationship and also threatening her with their marriage certificate.
