Unrivaled Demon Knight (Sidonia)

(A/N: Not Harem. Jason X Kobayashi.) At first, Jason Star seemed like an ordinary handsome man who didn't stood out much, but secretly, he was the number one ranker of the most popular virtual game in the world which had the theme of robot vs aliens. The most notable thing about him was his exceptional piloting sense, and rational decisions. Still, he was a human who also usually makes mistakes when faced with sudden situation. While relaxing on the rooftop, Jason suddenly met his demise after an unfortunate accident of getting struck by lightning. However, he soon found himself being thrown into a futuristic sci-fi reality where his life is always at constant dangers. However, despite that, he now seemed to found a place where could truly belong. Along with his alien parasite buddy, Jason will use any means to survive. Helping humanity along the way is just a stepping stone for that. As for girls? Pftt! Who needs those thots when you can have those beautiful mechas for yourself! But it might change soon... who knows... .... This is me trying to explore and create some of my ideas about the world of sidonia, so expect changes. A/N: This story is not about some loner or selfish MC. He will instead help humanity and it's sanctuary by 'indirectly' helping advance the technology. The reason is simple. He will die alongside it because there are no other place. Suggest some good weaponry and other technological stuff There will be many mistakes done in the grammar because of this shitty auto-correct. This is also an uncharted territory for me so please pardon my mistakes.

Gauna Guardian Version 2

Chapter 26 — Gauna Guardian Version 2.

Forbidden Area | 1:20 PM.

Inside a spacious darkly lit room, rows of bio-mechanical shells were neatly arranged. And people were actually within it, protecting their bodies from the ravages of time and disease. The only visible portion of their bodies were their faces, covered by skeletal masks that hide their youthful appearance.

The Immortal Ship Committee; a shadow group that existed within Sidonia, and held great authority over it. However, they have long been corrupted, forgetting about the true mission of Sidonia.

"No matter what the public says, our only but one goal is the annihilation of the Gauna. That is the only path of Sidonia toward survival and freedom," Kobayashi strongly said while looking very determined.

Even the Immortal Committee couldn't change her mind.

"Are you confident on dealing with it? Even if its just a Small Mass Union Ship, we will also suffer huge losses."

"And you must also know that ahead are yet more Gauna lying in wait! We cannot take that kind of risk without a guaranteed success."

The members from the Immortal Committee refuted her decision, not liking it at all.

"Then do you want me to do nothing, and wait for the Gauna to eventually annihilate all of us? In the end, losses and battles are inevitable for humanity to survive and keep moving forward. Even currently, the Mass Union Ship is approaching Sidonia," Kobayashi said without a change to her cold expressionless face, causing them to fell silent, looking toward her in contempt.

Kobayashi shook her head, and then told them something that would make them feel reassured.

"I'm not planning to battle foolishly without a plan. Sidonia's fighting capabilities has improved tremendously, making it guaranteed to end with Sidonia's victory."

Although they felt relaxed after hearing those words, they couldn't help but frown after hearing that.

"The improved fighting forces... Are you talking about the work of that outsider called Jason?"

Kobayashi nodded her head slightly, feeling strange within her belly button after hearing Jason's name.

"You trust that man too much, Kobayashi. Only allow that man to do his job as a pilot and not root himself into the matters of Sidonia. We can't trust him! That will only bring Sidonia closer to its end!"

In the Immortal Committee's eyes, Jason was turning into an serious eyesore, and thought that Jason was weakening their influence and authority by the various important contributions and amazing deeds he offered toward Sidonia.

Kobayashi frowned heavily, feeling her insides twisting in anger after hearing those kind of words from the cowards that did nothing, but just hide safely within their shells like a bunch of turtles.

They were also foolishly cautious, their mentality wouldn't even prove benefit to Sidonia, and just drag it down.

"Don't worry, I know what I'm doing for Sidonia much better than all of you," Kobayashi simply said those words while inwardly seething with anger. She soon left the place to return toward the command room.

Watching Kobayashi leave, the Immortal Committee expressed their annoyance and dissatisfaction.

"Kobayashi is taking too many risks and decisions not suitable for Sidonia's survival. It's now the time to remover her and change the ship's commander."

Although they said it was for the good of Sidonia, it was actually just a load of bullshit that came from their mouth.

The god couldn't see anything else, but only their selfishness and excessive hubris for Authority.

Unbeknownst to them, they will soon swallowed the medicine called regret too late...

...

Command Room | 1:47 PM.

Kobayashi stood above the entire command room, observing the large panoramic hologram screen.

"Explain the current situation in details to me," Kobayashi ordered to the green-haired girl who replaced Seii's position.

The girl was Yuhata's Midorikawa.

Yuhata nodded her head while looking very serious currently.

"We have determined that the objects fired out from Ocarina were Gauna!"

"Ocarina?" Kobayashi questioned her confusedly.

Yuhata smiled sheepishly while awkwardly rubbing the back of her head.

"Err... The name of the Small Mass Union Ship was too long and bit confusing, so I took the liberty to name it for a much easier and memorable identification."

"I see..." Kobayashi thought it was kinda weird, but not that too bad.

Truthfully, she placed some doubts about the ability of this newly graduated student to act as the Assistant Director.

However, It seems like she needed to continue observing her to fully understand her capabilities.

"The Gauna are closing in on Sidonia very quickly! The speed much faster than an average Gauna," reported the masked assistants working in front of them.

"Have you looked over their Information and characteristics? How much are the number of the Gauna?" Yuhata asked shortly afterward.

"No, not yet. We apologize, Assistant Director Midorikawa!"

Yuhata shook her head.

"Just please address me as Yuhata to make it not too complicated."

The masked women nodded their head, and thought she was friendly.

"Only about 7,000 kilometers away from Sidonia!" They reported later.

"Have the guardian squads sortied out?"

"They're now currently on their way. However, pilot Jason is late because his unit from the factory still needed to be transported to the Hangar Site."

"I see, thank you," Yuhata nodded while clenching her teeth.

She hoped everything would turn alright with this mission.

Her brother and friends were also part of the mission after all.

"We now have a visual image of the targets!"

On the large main screen, an image of a large crimson ring can be seen.

Yuhata was surprised.

"A Chain-Type Gauna?"

However, her guess was very far from being correct.

[ True Bodies Detected! ]

The main monitor alerted loudly for several times, issuing the increasing numbers of appearing True Bodies.

"Sidonia's sensors have detected the precise number of the True Bodies."

39, 40, 41, 42...

"50!"

"There are about over 50 True Bodies detected, making the final detected Gauna to be known as G-542. Their numbers are more than squads deployed!" The assistant stopped while gulping down. "Furthermore, they're also the same type as the Gauna Guardian from before!"

Yuhata and Kobayashi were surprised seeing the zoomed appearances of the Gauna Guardian forming into their own palm formation, carrying a large sword and big mounted cannon over the shoulder.

The Gauna Guardian looked like the pre-evolved form of Onizume that Jason encountered before, but looking more fiercer and powerful.

(A/N: The pre-evolved Onizume mentioned here is the one born after devouring Kunato's Unit, and still haven't consumed its kind due to Gluttony And Revenge.)

"The squads have arrived close to the Gauna Guardian!"

"Proceed to attack while maintaining basic alertness," Kobayashi ordered toward the entire squads

Hangar Site | 2:17 PM.

"Jason, I'm sorry about the delay. We had to do full body examination for the last time to check if Rokurome is completely ready," Sasaki said apologetically while looking at Jason who was sitting inside the cockpit with the hatch still open

Rokurome was now fully prepared for its first combat, the crimson greatsword being sheathed behind its back.

"Its fine, I'm not that in a rush. Besides, the optimized thrusters will allow me to catch up immediately."

Sasaki nodded her head.

"Now then, have a damn good luck! Make sure to rampage properly. Also, make sure to not wreck that bad boy too much. Just you know, it's very expensive!"

"Sure, sure. I'll keep in mind," Jason chuckled before closing the hatch, the cockpit soon hiding within the internal skeletal frame that protected many other important and vital components.

[ Rokurome's System Activating.... ]

Those words popped up on the hologram screen after starting everything. Jason soon grabbed onto the control joysticks, grabbing it tightly.

The ruby eyes of Rokurome shone with bright streak red lights, as its two Fusion Reactors roared into life, quickly generating particles that spread throughout its entire body using the Silver Thread Tissue as a medium.

The launch lift soon headed down, entering the dark launching acceleration tunnel.

Rokurome grabbed onto the support acceleration handle, the various thrusters across its body charging up with intense blue light.

"Star Unit 666, Rokurome, heading out!" Jason said as he pushed both the joysticks forward to accelerate.

Rokurome released a huge trail of blue particles from its back, flying across the tunnel, while the crimson coat flapped softly upward.

Jason used the video communication system to connect toward the command room.

"Jason over to the command unit, how is the current situation?"

He was then quickly surprised to see Yuhata appearing on the screen instead of the usual Seii.

"Yuhata? Where's Seii?"

"Mr. Seii returned to being a pilot again. I'm now taking over his spot as the Assistant Director," Yuhata replied quickly.

"Oh I see... Congratulations!" Jason said with a small smile.

"Thank you," Yuhata was very happy, but she quickly explained the situation toward him. It was better to act professional during work time.

Jason then heard from her that the Small Mass Union Ship—Ocarina—made a move by sending many Gauna to probe Sidonia. He was then quite stunned to hear the Gauna Guardian appearing once again.

He pondered very deeply, thinking of many hypothetical thoughts for the Gauna Guardian's reappearance today.

Ocarina must have copied Onizume's pre-evolved form during its stay within the Gas Planet by adding the pre-evolved form's biological data into its own instinctive database. It after all existed everywhere within the planet by morphing into a gas state placenta.

As for how it was possible, Jason thought it must might be related to the abilities of the Gauna Race.

Ocarina prepared and raised those copied Gauna Guardian to become more powerful than the pre-evolved form Onizume. Maybe that's why it took a long time to launch another attack.

Jason's complexion darkened after once again seeing Ocarina to use another human strategy.

As expected, some of them proved to be intellectual. The best action to take was to immediately eliminate them to halt their evolution.

The video system with Yuhata soon ended after she finished, but Jason saw another channel emerging.

And it was Kobayashi.

It made him surprised.

"Jason, good luck with your endeavour. I trust in your abilities to protect Sidonia, and will wait for you return," She said behind those annoying mask, causing him to not know her expression.

However, he thought it was a gentle or sweet one. It could also be her usual expressionless face, but it wasn't bad to dream too big.

"I understand, I will do my best to complete the mission perfectly," Jason replied with a simple smile.

Kobayashi nodded her head.

The videos communication halting.

Rokurome arrived at the space battlefield at the same time, seeing the Guardian Knights already engaging intense combat with the Gauna Guardian.

Rokurome slowly unsheathed its greatsword from behind, pointing toward some Gauna faraway.

The outer crystal edge of the sword began to shine as it started condensing a vast amount of extremely unstable particles.

The crystal or crystal gem was a recently developed artificial type of glass that had the best property to condense the particles into a single point without spreading wastefully, while also quickly accelerating to maximize the power and penetration strength of the energy projectiles. The particles being also condensed into a high-degree.

The artificial glass was even used in the original prototype of the Guardian and the Mass-Produced Type.

[ Particle Infusion Into Sword Cannon Reaching 200%.... ]

The particles of the two reactors reduced significantly, but the two quickly generated more to fill in.

The crimson sword cannon soon finished charging with particles, condensing a vast amount of unstable particles.

Rokurome pressed the sword trigger, the world coming into a halt as Thought Acceleration activated.

"Come and meet your maker, you alien bastards!" Jason excitedly grinned largely, the pupil of his black eye shining with a resplendent golden light.

It even somehow looked like a seed made out of golden aurora light.

Today was a very joyful moment. He managed to break a seal, and even Rokurome was completed.

Fuck, such a bliss!

It deserves a fuckbang!

BOOOOM!

The same as the principles of Unstable Particles Bomb Reaction—

—The condensed unstable particles broke apart and exploded when the acceleration reached a certain degree.

A chain reaction immediately followed, quickly producing a massive and powerful explosion wave that was directed forward by the sword.

An intense linear ray of exploding beam swallowed the four Gauna who were close together and within range, completely destroying their entire body along with their True Bodies.

This horrible scene was witnessed by the many people present, causing a veil of silence to cover the entirety.

It was simply to great...

Moreover, Jason and Rokurome weren't done yet.

Like a demon predator that rose from the deepest layers of hell, Rokurome set to hunt for more preys.

Jason was the predator.

And the Gauna were his preys.

Bruh, I don't know much science stuffs so pretty much were bullshit I randomly thought.

Short chapter since I feel somehow lazy today. I guess waking up early to take exams hurt my brain.
