I changed things on the previous chapter to clarify more clearer cuz I think I conveyed it wrongly.

—> ( However, it depends on Jason himself to actually process all that information which could even explode a superhuman's brain. It only gave him the weapon, but it was him who will need to properly handle it. )

I also realized that I haven't explained the ⟨ Enhanced Battle Sense Mode ⟩. It can enhance Jason's exceptional combat instincts even further, and help him adapt to grow stronger while fighting. It also allowed him to have greater extrasensory combat(or piloting). If you want information about extrasensory combat, search the superpower wiki. Note: It just enhance and stimulate's Jason's already existing combat(pilot) sense, not adding something new.

Chapter 28 — Brain & Mind.

Silence....

The entire command room fell into a heavy silence.

Rokurome was really filled with unexpected twists and turns.

The prowess it showed was definitely unheard even when compared before, only second to the first time Jason showed ⟨ Mechanical Parasitism ⟩ to them.

Rokurome was able to single-handedly eliminate seven Gauna Guardians. It was also just within the timeframe of mere seconds.

Kobayashi was already quite used to it, knowing that Jason was exactly like that. A box full of surprise.

"How did you do that?" Kunato couldn't help but ask Jason using the public channel.

The others from his squad also expressed the same thoughts.

The energy from within the destroyed cores were once again absorbed, but Mr. Alien decided to allow the energy to nourish Jason's brain.

While doing so, he removed the unnecessary memories that just contained the lnstinctual laws of Gauna Emperor.

Jason then felt his aching temples to relax greatly while also entering the state of clear mind. Even when his body was currently sealed, his brain's mental cognition, mental competence, mental capacity, and mental concentration improved largely. However, he needed to unseal more seals to access those benefits.

By using the breathing method with it, Jason was able to quickly recover into a bearable normal condition.

Jason took a brief moment to catch his breath before replying toward them.

"Similar to the Sword Cannon, it was due to the new supporting system module created by Sasaki," Jason answered briefly, but then warned them. "However, it's not possible for you guys to use it for now. It takes a great toll on the brain, even with my superhuman brain."

The entire Kunato Squad clumped their mouths, not daring to covet such a dangerous system now. If Jason himself says that it was even dangerous for his superhuman body to handle, then it will be much more worse for them who only have normal human body.

There was fine line between stupidity and bravery.

They didn't wanted to overestimate themselves, and bite more than what they could chew.

"More enemies incoming!" En immediately informed them while observing her radar.

"Shoot all of them down," Jason ordered quickly.

Rokurome immediately prepared the large energy rifle on its waist, and aimed forward.

[ Higgs Particle Supply: 60% Left. ]

Jason saw Rokurome only have about half energy supply remaining. However, he decided to continue fighting instead of waiting to auto-recharge or use the converter's high-density energy storage.

There were only some Gauna left, it should enough to annihilate them all.

And besides, Jason's marksmanship also greatly improved vastly like his sword arts.

Although he might not able to apply every human techniques through Rokurome that accurately, some simple tricks and techniques were still applicable.

Bang!

Jason and the Kunato Squad were continuesly shooting their energy rifles to strip the placenta of the Gauna which numbered around six.

The rain of bullet-size energy beams digged deeply into their placenta armour constantly, soon causing them to explode after being shot many times, quickly exposing their cores.

The exposed True Bodies were immediately destroyed by their Guardian Knight's laser cannons without even being able to regenerate.

All of them were soon completely annihilated without being able to resist.

Their spot proved excellent, their energy rifles shooting non-stop as they constantly tried to approach them.

"Reporting over the command unit, I and the Kunato Squad had cleared all the Gauna within our area," Jason notified the command room about their recent success.

"Good job. You guys don't need to help the others, they are also almost done," Kobayashi replied, causing his lip to curl upward after hearing that.

After that, the other squads from different locations soon managed to also completely destroy the Gauna around them.

The scouting 50 Gauna Guardians were all annihilated after a fierce battle. But Jason attracted most of the aggro.

As for the Subjugation Guardian Team, there were few heavily damaged units, and injured pilots, but not a single one of them due to the protection of Guardian Knight

Kobayashi was already feeling such a scene was becoming the normal, causing her to feel immense relieved and joy. The past version of herself would just think of this scene as something unbelievable.

Yuhata was relieved to see that no person dying during her first mission. She was resolved to plan more things carefully and smartly to reduce casualties as much as possible.

The mission ended up quite perfectly.

However, Jason thought this merely just the beginning.

The situation would most likely become more harder and difficult. Some casualties might even start appearing.

Jason's strength wasn't still enough.

He and Sidonia needed more power to advance forward.

After the mission, the Subjugation Guardian Team returned toward Sidonia. It was time to rest their exhausted mind and body. The Guardian Knights also needed to undergo many repairs.

The command unit continued to observe the movements of Ocarina, seeing it stop moving once again.

Ocarina was preparing itself very thoroughly after witnessing the current formidable forces of Sidonia.

Kobayashi thought of attacking Ocarina now, but this kind of attack contained many unknown risks behind it.

A more detailed observation and planning were required.

Jason Star's Daily Log | Day 120.

It has been a few days, things calming down again after the mission.

While Sidonia was still experiencing its short moment of peace, Jason started to gather information about Ochiai from many different kinds of sources.

The sources were from the Old Library, Virtual Library, old newspapers, and magazines. He also talked with various knowledgeable people.

As a result of his actions, many people now know that he was gathering information about Ochiai. It was suspicious, but they thought Jason was just being curious about the infamous scientist.

This was the amazing perk of having many positive and good achievements.

However, Jason unexpectedly received the most help from Kunato Norio and Mozuku. It was a sign of their gratitude for saving Norio in the past.

The reason Jason was trying to search for the traces of Ochiai's turned to be very simple. He had a vague feeling that such an intelligent scientist wouldn't die that so easily.

It was what he learned after watching so many movies, and other kinds of media.

Nevertheless, even if Ochiai's was definitely dead, Jason wanted to completely destroy his legacy that might just put Sidonia into more troublesome dangers.

In his tree house, Jason was looking through the various books he received from the Kunato Family. The books all talked about the evil scientist Ochiai.

There wasn't much that information about Ochiai. It was only said he was very crazy on the advancement of his Bio-Technology to protect Sidonia.

Ochiai's heart to protect Sidonia was right, but the path he took was wrong.

He had lost sight of his own humanity, and thus became known as the mad scientist. He threatened the Sidonia just for his own selfish causes, and nearly single-handedly destroyed Sidonia itself. His arrogance and over-confidence in his ability to succeed drove him to push matters to the edge, resulting with disastrous results in the end.

Ochiai was eventually arrested, and had his body destroyed. However, he held half of Sidonia's library within his brain. As a result, Ochiai's knowledge and consiousness were sealed away inside an isolated neural interface.

He was not dead, but also not alive. It was such an unfortunate state.

Jason frowned deeply, thinking that such a brilliant mad scientist had most likely created a failsafe plan in case of his defeat.

He then pursed his lips after finding out that most of Ochiai's laboratory were being guarded by the Kunato Development.

It seems like he will need to pay them a visit soon.

Jason continued to read more about the details of the First Chimera.

The First Chimera's creation occured during the Great 4th War. It was known back then as the new humanoid weapon that was entirely different from the Guardian.

And just like the current Guardian Knight, the First Chimera was able to destroy a True Body without the use of Kabizashi.

It also seemed that when the First Chimera still had unresolved issues with its control system, Ochiai threw it to the battle without also even getting approval. As a result, the chimera went on a rampage, causing many casualties. It even nearly brought Sidonia to its destruction, forcing Sidonia to fight the Chimera.

As of now, the destroyed First Chimera was contained safely. Jason even saw it back in the past.

As Jason continued reading, he saw something very intriguing.

It said that the control system of the First Chimera wasn't through the use of control sticks and pedals, but through the power of mind.

"Controlling using the mind? Do psychic powers even exist...?" Jason pondered about it deeply, but thought it sounded ridiculous.

He didn't believed that much on occult, but only science.

⟨ It is possible, Host. Only if using the wonders of the brain along with the power of science that is. ⟩

Mr. Alien abruptly said, shocking Jason after hearing it was possible. It seems the brain was much more mysterious and unfamathable that he had thought.

"Is it really possible?" Jason asked again while still looking slightly skeptical.

⟨ Yes, but it is only normally possible after the brain evolved enough. Also, although the brain and mind aren't the same, the two still shares some vague relationship. The former physical and the latter mental. ⟩

Jason nodded in understanding.

"What will happen to the brain if evolved enough?"

⟨ A special brainwaves known as Evol-Waves will awaken from within the deepest part of the brain, allowing the will to have influence over reality. Telepathy and telekinesis are byproduct of it. This is also the unexplainable wonders of evolution. ⟩

"How will those special brainwaves allow me to control a Guardian by just thoughts?" Jason asked interestedly.

He knew that sheer telekinesis shouldn't possibly have the capability to precisely move a complex machinery like the Guardian Knight.

⟨ The answer for your question is the Evol-Waves. By using a special Quantum Processing Machine to translate the special brainwaves into computer commands and data, it should be possible. ⟩

Jason's eyes lip up brightly. He felt stupid for doubting the Dao Of Science.

With science, nothing is impossible!

"Mr. Alien, do you know how to make the Quantum Machine? Also, have I already awakened the Evol-Waves?"

Jason really wanted to acquire the method to control a Guardian by just using his own thoughts. If he could acquire it, the possibilities were endless.

This kind of special control system was also useful to use along with the TPIG System.

⟨ No. With Sidonia's current technology and resources, it would be very difficult. However, we will quickly reach that point soon. Things are just starting to develop nicely. ⟩

⟨ And your Evol-Waves will only awaken after your body is completely unsealed. It has already awakened in the past after your brain was changed by the Higgs Particle, but I suppressed it due to Host not being ready yet. ⟩

"Oh okay, I understand. I'm not that in a rush," Jason didn't looked disappointed.

The golden age were just recently starting for both him and the Sidonia.

What he needed to do now was to train more extensively. He also needed to find Ochiai's legacy.

⟨ I recommend that action, Host. You should find about that man's legacy. Apart from his knowledge about Chimera, I am sure his other knowledge will prove helpful to the Sidonia. ⟩

Jason simply nodded. He then thought of something very good.

It would be a great idea for the Sidonia's weapon and other systems to get further improved instead of just the Guardian Knights.

That would prove helpful against the battle with Ocarina.

The only problem was the many resources it would take...

Jason started to organise the books, but then suddenly heard something knocking at the door.

He then was slightly surprised to find who it was.
