Chapter 13

(Nier pov)

I growl as that detestable rat speaks of such stupid conditions to get Fen off the hook, despising the fact I cant use my influence without compromising our civilian identities, only calming down when I feel Fen's smooth fingers running through my hair, resisting the urge to purr, my satisfaction welling when I hear Fen put that arrogant creature in its place, rolling over once he and his naive muscled friend finally leave so I can look at Fen, as he releases a deep sigh, his domineering aura from earlier replaced with a calm resignation.

Feeling a bit cheeky and wanting to bring up the mood, I decide to tease him, not expecting much. "Don't tell me you're sad I wont be there?" as I put on the most confident face I can, ignoring my embarrassment at using such a cheesy line. Closing my eyes as I wait for his snarky comeback, it never comes.

Opening my eyes to a scene that makes my mind freeze, there, face angled to the side, slightly hidden behind his hair, his face ever so slightly red.

'Wait, wait, wait wait wait wait wait wait. Is Fen, blushing? OH MY GOD FEN'S BLUSHING.'

My body suddenly shooting upwards as I move into a sitting position as fast as physically possible, my face frozen in shock, before shifting into a crazy smile.

"NO FUCKING WAY I MADE FEN BLUSH!" his parents, equally as shocked as I was, deciding to join in on the teasing, only furthering his embarrassment, as I giggled like a child, the scene of Fen growling in frustration as his mother slowly pet his flicking ears, incredibly hilarious, before he finally snapped, as I suddenly began to fall, landing softly on the floor, recognising my new environment as the main Okami residence, both his parents sitting on the floor just like me, as we look at each other, before bursting out laughing, my face turning red as I remembered how cute he looked embarrassed. Vowing never to forget this, or let Fen live this down.

*Timeskip*

(Fenrir pov.)

It had been half a year since the incident, the legal trials had proceeded well, and I was let off with no punishment, arguing my case as a minor, and self defense, as well as claiming that I had awakened a new form of my quirk due to the danger to my life, and as such my loss of control was no different to the surge all non mutation type quirk users experience when first awakening their quirk, my "punishment" was being legally required to attend UA high in order to learn how to control my quirk, as it was deemed to dangerous to allow me to simply live like a normal civilian in the off chance I were to possibly lose control again, it was honestly hilarious how easy it was to manipulate everything to me and Nezu's benefit, just a tiny bit of pretending to be a disturbed and confused child, and suddenly I have all the sympathy in the world.

Now I find myself staring out over the entrance to UA, my feet dangling in the air, as I stare at the mob of prospective students flowing from the auditorium, having just listened to the instructions for the practical exam, I had not taken part in the briefing, having already memorized the entire curriculum, and taken all written tests prior, perfect 100's in everything as expected, really hard to get anything less than perfect when your mind is closer to a search engine than it is a human's, even on the morality exam I had gotten perfect scores, obviously not because I actually was a saint, but simply because I knew all the right answers.

I watched the mob splitting into groups, as people filed into a subway station nearby, the testing area so large it would be impractical to use buses. My assigned test location was section 32. The test site consisted of a 50x50km replica city separated into grid sections each 5x5km. The fact that each grid held over a hundred robots just going to show how much money was thrown into this test, some quick calculations telling me that even with cementos making the cities for only as much as the cost of the cement, and most materials being recovered after tests, including broken robots, and the presence of quirks making repairs easy, and automation, it was likely that the test cost 100 million dollars minimum for a full repair if I assume each section was at least 10% destroyed, and the original build cost must have been in the tens billions. The fact that UA was willing to spend such an absurd amount of money every year on merely an entrance test, is a testament to its vast wealth.

There were thousands of applicants, the mob stretching kilometers, even with all the sections there were still 50 participants per section, meaning 5,000 participants minimum, the fact only 1000 would be accepted excluding any acceptions, only 21 of which would be put in 1A, the main hero class, a clear representation of how low acceptance rates were, even if the majority of the students would end up in support or general courses.

Pulling out my phone I see a text from Nier, telling me she was assigned to section 17, and wishing me luck, I reciprocated, before returning my phone to my pocket, watching as the mob slowly dwindled, I quickly recalled the map of the testing grounds, before teleporting to my assigned area, appearing next to a large arch in the larger wall, displaying the number 32, I teleported on top of it, staring out over the cityscape, looking out across the nearby testing area's, after all, in order to save space, there was no real separation aside from a tall wall between sections, also to allow for the walls to be taken down to increase the size of area's for different purposes.

Checking the time I reach my hand to my side through a spontaneously appearing portal and pull it back out to reveal a Coffee cup., having made an agreement with my favorite nearby cafe that I would pay them 10 times the normal price for them to make the same drink at the same time every day and place it in a certain part of the store, or whenever I make a call or leave a note through a portal, so I can simply grab it without any hassle.

Taking a sip of my drink I watch as the students began to pour out of a nearby staircase attached to the subway, the system deep underground to avoid damage as a result of tests, I didn't know any characters from the original anime outside from the few I saw in meme's, so mostly only the students from 1A, but I didn't recognise anyone from the group, not that it mattered, I didn't care about the original plot, I didn't even know the plot anyway, so I had no reason not to interfere with it.

One of the students noticed me, a random black haired dude with an american football for a head, normal footballs for eyes, and tennis balls for pupils. The tag on his shirt saying "Hero course applicant." What he expected to achieve with his quirk was beyond me, but I had learned not to underestimate even the most benign looking quirks after nearly dying to a man that could only lengthen objects, So I didn't completely write him off.

I simply waved at the group, before leaning back on my left hand, still drinking from my cup, as I waited for the event to start, it took about 20 minutes for all the students to reach their respective testing area's and finally, present mic's voice was heard over the intercoms.

"WELCOME STUDENTS TO THE UA PRACTICAL EXAM! TO REMIND ANYONE WHO FORGOT, THE TEST WILL LAST 30 MINUTES, AND WILL CONSIST OF STUDENTS TAKING DOWN AS MANY ROBOTS AS POSSIBLE, THESE ROBOTS HAVE DIFFERENT POINT VALUES DEPENDING ON THEIR STRENGTH, 1 POINT ROBOTS ARE THE EASIEST TO DEFEAT, 2 POINT ROBOTS ARE HARDER, AND 3 POINT ROBOTS ARE HARDER STILL, THE EXCEPTION BEING THE 0 POINTER, THE HARDEST ROBOT, YOU GET NOTHING FOR DEFEATING IT, THE TEST WILL START IN 10 MINUTES, GO KICK SOME ASS! YEAH!!!"

As a large screen on the top of the archway begins the countdown, I quickly consider how much effort I should put into the test, before deciding that anything less than perfect was unworthy of me, and it would honestly be harder not to get a perfect score anyway, so might as well.

My senses spread out, as I form a sphere of influence in the air, before accelerating it into the sky, closing my eyes even behind my blindfold, I focus on the information returning to me from the sphere, a top down view of the city forming in my mind, the sphere acting similar to a UAV or satellite, I quickly Identify the position of every robot within my zone, I feel almost bad for the other students in my group, since they won't be getting any points, but its not my problem, deciding to show off a bit, I forgo energy expenditure, spending the full 10 minutes in a deep focus, my mind working overtime going through hundreds of precise calculations, and the moment the timer reaches zero, I reach into my pocket and pull out 250 black needles, as black inscriptions cover my palm, the pre inscribed runes infusing my influence into the needles, as I swing my palm sideways, a small crack in space appearing before each and every needle, as surrounding the entire section, every single robot freezes in place, as their batteries instantly empty, the attack I used is unfortunately only affective against battery powered devices, it works by simply spreading all the electricity within the device out evenly across its entire structure, each and every needle needing to be preprogrammed to the exact specifications of the device in question, it was essentially useless in combat, but the teachers and students don't need to know that.

(sorry if this doesn't make sense, I tried my best.)

And so, as all the students who had just begun to run into the section, eager to fight the robot's they stop in confusion when every last one of them simply stops in place, some standing completely stiff, others shake for a moment as hydraulics activate randomly, many falling to the ground, and I still sit on the arch, drinking my coffee, even as I feel the vast majority of my energy disappear all at once.

(AN, I wanna fucking kill myself.)
