CHAPTER CONTINUES AFTER THIS :

What I found was the lab of Howard Stark, only one man was inside, Stark himself.

He was trying bang his head around how zola found his way towards energy weapons.

I went towards him stealthily and stood behind him as he was sitting on a chair reading the some documents.

*cough**cough* I fake coughed as I rested my hands upon his shoulders.

*Aarrrgghh*

He literally jumped from his chair onto his table as he covered his face with the folder in his hands.

I nearly exploded in laughter but controlled myself.

"Hey, it's no ghost in here, it's just me..." I said as I took the file away from his hands

"You nearly gave me a heart attack man..... *huff* *huff* hoo.... who are you??"

"Name is Bartholomew Banning, you can call me Bobby or Bart, looked like you were in a pinch there..." I said as I looked that the piles of files and a bunch of machines and cases containing cores of zola's energy weapons were scattered across his bench.

He looked over his stuff and nodded "Yeah, I feel so close but yet so far... Whatever, I'll need an Einstein to help me get over this...."

"You don't say huh..." I said as I eyed over a bunch of pages, his progress was commendable, but currently my knowledge about various subjects was way ahead of him, only thing he had in special right now was a card, a purple grade card.

A card that was like a pool of freshwater in the middle of a desert for a thirsty traveler like me.

[ Card : Hyper Active Brain

Type : Ability/Physical

Color : Purple

Description : You are a natural born genius at learning things, your mind is made different, you learn and find concepts and knowledge beyond your ability.

Copy : Yes(17%)]

I pressed yes as soon as I appeared in the room and the card was copied almost a fifth of the way right now.

"Maybe you should keep them down, they are confidential..." Howard said pointing at the files in my hand while his voice got serious and he was about to hit the alarm on his belt.

"Don't worry, I have the authorization, in fact I even discussed some over with Einstein a while back..." I said as I took out a couple of paper and handed it over to him.

These were the papers of our unit, the basterds being adopted by SSR for a few months.

Me being designated to work with scientists, all due to courtesy of Einstein himself.

His say in the scientific community was respected alot, Alot.

And when colonel Phillips himself recieved recommendation letter from Einstein, he couldn't ignore it and decided to take me in, even if just for a few months.

According to him, I could boost the research speed by 20%, which was alot considering how slow they were on the technology, Zola's technology was almost a century ahead of them.

He read them as he saw the signature and stamps of all the higher ups, confirming it was real he calmed down as he started throwing a barrage of questions at me.

Being the narcissist Howard was, he wanted to prove himself better, and he failed miserably at that, no matter how better talent he had than everyone else, his knowledge was still very much behind the times compared to me.

And I didn't show him much, just enough to answer his questions around.

The progress of the copying went on as we discussed with each other.

"... and yes, the energy conversion into this material is way too poor, they would need concentrate energy of a whole state to create one of these" Howard said as he pointed out to a energy core of a pistol created by Hydra.

"Unless they could find a way that they could supply themselves with almost limitless energy, which is not possible..." I said as I acted around.

I knew they had limitless energy in form of a cube around them.

That was what zola was using, the endless amount of energy from the Tesseract could keep up the production of these cores no matter how much energy it took to create one.

It was like to kill a sheep with a supersonic missile. It would kill it, yes, but it's highly inefficient to do so, it would be a wastage of resources, in this case, energy.

But that was the crux of it, the Tesseract, containing the space stone, connected with infinite dimensions with their limitless energies, he had more than enough energy to splurge around.

Even though this concept seemed very easy, this was the same scenario as how to nuclear weapons worked.

Everyone who studied chemistry to a acceptable level knew the concept behind the nuclear weapon - nuclear fusion or fission, unstable atoms are broken apart, releasing a tremendous amount of energy, concept was easy, but no one new how to make one.

No one knew how to enrich radioactive unstable metals to weapons grade, no one knew what went inside the nuclear core, no one knew how to trigger the reaction, no one knew what to do even if you were supplied everything to make one.

That was the current situation we were in, like high school kids who knew why the nuclear weapon worked, but not how.

That was why I liked this world, there was no shortage of geniuses, and no matter what anyone says, Zola was the top of them all, even greater than Howard or Tony or Pym themselves.

With primal technology of 1940s, without the help of a super computer or something that could even remotely be considered advanced, he created something that could fight with even Thanos' army itself, the most powerful army in universe.

No joke, mount his energy mega-cannons with modern equipment and sensible user, even his leviathans won't stand more than 30 seconds, and multiply that with 100, you would be able to fend off the attack on NYC by loki in minutes, multiply that with 1000, Infinity War would have been won in just 15 minutes.

It would have been a massacre, those mega-cannons packed enough energy to vaporize a tank in an instant, no matter how thick skinned his army was, it would have been infinitely small war instead of infinity war.

Not only that, he created his digital copy using just old recording tapes and oldest of computer technologies, he was totally different.

Tony might have created an art of technology, miniature Arc reactor in a cave, but people seemed to forget many things, Tony knew how the reactor worked, and knew everything about it from start, he had modern knowledge, he was taught in highest level of education from the start, but Zola was different.

Working in conditions where ambitions were suppressed, knowledge was controlled, being under constant surveillance, he created things centuries ahead of his times.

Building an organization bigger than any government in the world right under the ass of the world leaders, zola wasn't just a scientist, he was an ideology, he was the real hydra, the one who had made Schmidt dance to his tunes on top of his palms.

Zola, from the start knew Schmidt was doomed, he was just playing his cards correctly at the right moment to make the most of Schmidt's fall.

And when he knew Schmidt was of no use anymore, he did the most sensible and easy thing he could do, switching sides.

I had gone over and over on all the scenario's, Zola could have escaped on the day first, after all, he was the head of an entire factory, the biggest of them all, but he didn't.

Zola had been contacted multiple times by different people offering enticing incentives, many from SSR itself but he didn't do it.

He could have escaped easily that day on the train (in the movie), but he didn't.

Which only left three options. First, he was so dumb he didn't anticipate the attack on his train when instead he could have been escorted by hydra's elite fleet of planes quite easily in fact, which inside hydra territory would have been 100% safe without any chance of failure, he had the means, but didn't.

Second, He was so arrogant he thought he could take the man who killed hydra members, which he himself armed with technology years ahead day and night with just a few specially equipped men, fat chance.

Third and most scary one, he had thought out every scenario, every situation, every outcome, every single move ahead of anyone else, planned everything meticulously and performed everything to the last possible detail and did it with terrifying accuracy.

Cause this was what he specialised in, predicting things before people themselves knew they would do it, the project insight, he created that in an era without something that would barely even qualify as a computer.

You can imagine the amount of havoc he could wreak around if he was born in modern era.

He was THE REAL Hydra, the original head, the one that kept itself back only to reveal it in times necessary.

He didn't become the second leader of Hydra, he just took the position back when he finally felt it was all in his favor.

He was the kind to think his plans decades ahead, planning a hundred steps ahead already, imagining a thousand scenarios and not acting until he knew a million outcomes, to the point where it would seem he knew the future itself.

The kind I hated the most, people like him were the most dangerous type, even more so than the mad Titan himself.

Cause you could fight against the whole army, but the real enemy would sit in an obscure corner, making yourself doubt your own actions through your own thoughts and decisions, breaking you apart mentally until you are like an open book they could read and edit easily, making you dance to their tunes on the top of their palms without you even knowing it.

The worst kind of enemy you could face.

That's why there was an old saying, that almost everyone can agrees on with me, the one I always said in school, "I hate smart people"
