I Don't Want To.

Lin Yan felt awkward being stared at by everyone in the meeting. She held her ground and with a cold expression on her face.

"What is Shen Yi doing here?" This question was asked by Li Jun.

Li Lingyun looked at all the shareholders coldly and said "From now on, Shen Yi will be a part of this project. She will be in charge of convincing the people to accept the compensation and leave their home peacefully."

"I doubt if that would work, the only way such people can listen is if we drag them out with force." Said Long Tian.

"It was their home for many years, dragging them out by force is not the solution." Lin Yan said

"Then what do you suggest as the solution to this problem." Long Tian asked

"I will give you a solution within a week, but until then, don't get involved."

Long Tian scoffed and said "I have seen this situation a lot times before, you will only be wasting your time."

"I think we should give her a try. It will only be for a week anyway." Li Jun who have been quiet suddenly spoke up.

Li Lingyun looked at his nephew briefly and then turned his gaze to Long Tian and said "Are you done?"

"What?"

"When I announced that Shen Yi would be in charge of getting the people out, I wasn't asking for your opinion or approval, I was only informing you."

"So you think the shareholders opinion don't matter, aren't you becoming more arrogant Li Lingyun."

"The shareholders opinion may matter but we both know that yours doesn't."

"Li Lingyun!" Long Tian shouted as he use his hand to slam the table.

Lin Yan could see that something was wrong. It was obvious the rest of the shareholders were afraid of Li Lingyun but why wasn't this man afraid of him as well.

Li Lingyun sighed and stood up as he said "The meeting is adjourned."

Lin Yan also stood up to follow him but she could see as the man openly glared at Li Lingyun with anger and hatred.

In Li Lingyun office.

Li Lingyun could noticed Lin Yan gaze, he thought she would say something because she had been staring at him for a long time but time passed and she said nothing to him.

He looked at her and said "I can't concentrate if you keep staring at me. Ask whatever you want to ask."

Lin Yan cleared her throat and said "I thought no one could stand against you, I'm just surprised that man could."

"You mean Long Tian, well that is because he believes my grandfather have his back, so nothing can be done to him."

"Can nothing really be done to him?" Lin Yan asked.

"It depends"

"On?"

"On whether my grandfather have his back or not."

Lin Yan scoffed at his reply and said "You mean whether the Long Family is useful to the Li or not."

Li Lingyun burst in laughter and stood up from his chair, he walked closer to Shen Yi and said "I never knew you were that smart."

"Is that a compliment?"

Li Lingyun said nothing but only smiled.

"What can of benefit can the Long Family give to a great family like the Li, especially to you who came from both the Li and the Meng."

"To me, nothing but to my grandfather definitely something."

"What could that be?"

"My grandmother's bracelet that is worth 2.5 billion dollars"

Lin Yan widen her eyes and asked "But how did your grandmother bracelet get into the hands of the Long Family."

"Do you remember that Li Rui had a sister."

Lin Yan nodded and said "The story of how she committed sucide went round that even grandpa could barely hide it"

"She was in love with a boy from the Long Family. She did whatever he asked of her and even stole our grandmother bracelet for him. According to Li Xin, she said, the boy told her that the Long Family was in a tight position and she only stole the bracelet to help."

"But the reason Li Xin committed sucide was because she didn't want to marry someone she did not love right?"

Li Lingyun smiled but Lin Yan could see the sadness in his eyes when he smiled "That wasn't the full reason, one of the reason she committed sucide was because the boy who had claim to be from the Long Family wasn't really a member of the Long Family."

"What? Then who was he?"

Li Lingyun laughed and said "He was just the son of a mere driver."

"The Long Family driver?"

"Yes."

Lin Yan felt pity for the young girl, being betrayed by someone you love was something that could make anyone to lose their mind, she thought of something and then asked "What happened to the boy?"

"What do you think happens to someone who makes a fool of the Li family"

Lin Yan scoffed and looked at Li Lingyun with unbelief and asked "Is killing the only way for the Li family to solve their problem?"

"You think he didn't deserve it?"

"I think he deserves that and more but I don't want Li Xiao to grow with such mentality."

"You don't have to worry about that, I will take care of my daughter."

"Right... Your daughter." Lin Yan felt angry for some reason. She have started seeing Li Xiao like her own child but Li Lingyun remark made her to realize that she wasn't Li Xiao mother and she will never be her mother. She was about to leave when Li Lingyun held her wrist and dragged her back to him.

Li Lingyun use one hand to hold her wrist and put his other hand on her waist, he bought her so close to him as he asked "Are you angry?"

Lin Yan could feel his breath, because his face was so close to her, she just looked at him angrily without replying to his question.

Li Lingyun smiled as he saw her angry look and said "I'm sorry."

Lin Yan decided to calm down, after all he was right, Shen Yi did abandoned her daughter for three years. After calming down did she realized the uncomfortable situation the both of them were in, she cleared her throat and said "I'm not angry anymore, can you let go."

Li Lingyun moved his face closer to her's with only an inch separating their lips as he whispered "I don't want to."
