49 Ch.49 A Bleeding Heart

Today was a full moon that meant Leah will go through the transformation today. She hasn't been growing like us. She is around 6'5" right now and she hasn't built up a bulky build like us but it's more of an athletic build. Which is good considering me and dad sometimes stick out a lot more than usual.

Currently it is 5:54 and the moon will be at its apex in a few hours so we had to leave now. I was standing in the living room and dad was watching TV. I said, "Why aren't you ready yet? We have to go."

He didn't even move his eyes and said, "Not going."

I was confused and I asked, "Why are you not going?"

He said, "You are the Alpha, you go… I am pretty sure you'll be able to take care of it just fine."

I exhaled and said, "Come on dad, I may need you so please just come."

He looked at me and said, "Chris, don't sell yourself short, I am quite sure of your capabilities. You will handle her just as you handled me and besides I have got this good game going on."

I scoffed and said, "It's ice hockey, you don't even like it." I exhaled and said, "You know what fine. I'll do it on my own."

He chuckled and said, "That's my boy."

I shook my head and I walked out and I saw Cat in the driveway. She had a brown bag in her hand and I walked up to her and I gently placed a kiss on her lips and said, "You didn't have to. Bella already made some sandwiches."

She smiled and said, "Yet you accepted them anyway."

I looked at her and said, "No one in your family was going to eat them so I thought why waste food."

She chuckled and she looked worried and said, "You sure you'll be able to handle her alone?"

I sighed and said, "I could have used dad's help but I'll manage. I don't know why he is acting like this."

She tilted her head and said, "Maybe it's because he is bored of staying in the house."

I sighed and nodded and said, "That may be it. But he still needs to keep this farce until his legs "Heal". "

She chuckled and asked, "And when will they heal?"

I shook my head and said, "Probably around 2-3 weeks from now."

She nodded and said, "That's good. Now go get Leah, it will be dark soon."

I chuckled and I kissed her, I got on my bike and I picked up all the necessary things like clothes, food, matches and Insulin. I got the bike out of the garage and I stopped in front of Cat and I kissed her again and she felt a little bittersweet and I said, "See you soon." She nodded and smiled.

I revved the engine and I went to pick up Leah. She stood in the driveway waving.

I reached Leah's place, she came out from her house, she was wearing a white shirt over a sports bra and shorts. I saw Seth and Sue and Harry behind her as well. She hugged Sue and Harry and Sue had tears in her eyes. She hugged Seth and then said, "I'll be back tomorrow. Take care of the place until then?"

Seth nodded and again hugged her, she ruffled his hair and kissed on his head and then she walked up to me. I asked, "Ready?"

She smiled and nodded. I gave her a helmet and she grabbed it and put it on her head and then got on and I said to her family, "Don't worry, she is in good hands."

Harry and Sue nodded and then I started the engine and she grabbed on to me tight and I revved the engine and we were away.

We reached the dungeon quickly before it could be dark. Leah and I were standing near the cliff and she had also packed some food, lights, medkit, and her clothes. She was standing near the edge and asked, "So how are we getting down?"

I chuckled and I picked her up in a princess carry and she yelped and I said, "Like this!" I I transformed my feet and jumped off the cliff. She closed her eyes and held me close. I landed on my feet with ease. She still closed her eyes and I chuckled and said, "We are here."

She opened her eyes and she looked at me and said, "You could have warned me."

I chuckled and said, "That wouldn't be nearly as much fun." She pushed me and got off me. She started to walk inside. I smiled and followed her. She was excited to explore the so-called "transition place". We reached the end of the cave and she saw the huge cell with some bent bars and she asked, "Your dad used this place?"

I nodded and said, "Yeah," I dropped the bag and said, "But it was useless. He just busted through those cells like it was cakewalk, made me a little angry."

She chuckled and said, "You should have expected it, you or rather we are the strongest of 'em all."

I smiled and said, "Glad to see that you are accepting your new identity."

She smiled and I said, "Now, clean up the place a little, I am going to get some firewood."

She nodded and put her bag down. I walked outside to find some firewood.

We both were sitting around a fire eating more like devouring the heaps of food we brought. She looked curious and I said, "You have something on your mind?"

She looked at me and said, "You are not reading my mind?"

I shook my head and said, "Stopped reading minds a while ago, I find it intrusive and annoying." I took a bite of the chicken and said, "Don't know how Edward does it, the constant stream of voices in your head it's deafening." She looked at me and I asked her again.

She took a bite of the fried fish and said, "I… was just wondering if I would get some special kind of form like you or your dad."

I chuckled and said, "God, I hope not."

She looked confused and asked, "Why not?"

I chuckled and said, "It's similar to my situation, they are always in your head. And it's not like you get to pick 'em. I got Lucien, dad got Ermis. I don't know about Ermis but Lucien sometimes behaves like a spoiled child."

I heard, "Hey! That's slander!" I chuckled and then said to her, "And both of us heard them before we fully turned. Have you heard a voice?"

She shook head in disappointment. I chuckled and said, "It's for the best, trust me."

After we ate we both waited for when she would change. I was feeding the fire and she was sitting next to me and she asked, "How are you able to change the forms?"

I shook my head and said, "Lucien told me that every one under him is just a variation of him, he is the start point so seeing that, he can turn into anyone of his wolves."

She asked, "What else can he do?"

I chuckled and said, "He showed me his story."

She was interested and asked, "What did you see?"

I smacked my lips and said, "I see him, I walk as him, I live as him… I see his friends, his enemies, his love… I have seen a sliver of his life yet, I feel inspired by him… I have seen his battles. I say he is like a child not just because he is stubborn but because his heart is like that of a child."

She looked at me and said, "Seems like he is quite the man."

I smiled and said, "I just hope I can be a great man as well, like my dad, Lucien, Carlisle."

She leaned her head on my shoulder and said, "You will be."

I looked at her and then I looked at the fire and said, "It's taking more time than usual."

She chuckled and asked, "You not liking the company?"

I looked at her and said, "I never said that… " She looked at me and I looked at her and I felt something from the inside. She leaned closer to me and raised her hand tracing her fingers on my face and she said, "I feel something for you... deep inside me. It's an urge to be with you… do you?"

I saw her eyes that were reflecting the flickering flames and her luscious lips that shined a little, she looked me in the eye and I leaned a little closer to her to me and the heat in me grew a lot as I got closer, I leaned in closer and I softly whispered, "I do." Her eyes sparkled and glowed yellow and I kissed her.

But as I did I felt terrible like my heart was bleeding, literally. I grabbed my heart and groaned in pain and she saw this and panicked and asked, "What happened?" But before I could say something. Her bones started to break and she also groaned in pain and bent down but she said, "It's not that bad."

I got up through the pain, and walked closer to him and grabbed her hand. I coughed up blood and she groaned and said, "I'm fine.!!!" Her bones broke a lot quicker than both of us and in mere moments her bones started joining and hairs started to grow out of her body and I looked at her and her transformation was a lot quicker than us.

In seconds she stood up on her feet, her fur had changed a little. It was close to silver with patches of grey mixed in, she stood 7'8" tall and was a little less muscular than me. She looked at me and I stepped back and transformed but still the bleeding didn't stop, that bleeding pain still won't go. I groaned in pain and she walked towards me and whimpered and asked, "You all right?"

I was shocked to hear that, so I asked her, "You… you can taalk?" She nodded and I was completely surprised to know that unlike dad and I she was completely fine. I was about to say something but I coughed up blood and I transformed back and fell flat on the ground and I saw Leah transforming back and walking towards me. I felt like my head was getting light and I fell asleep.

Hey guys I hope you like the chapter, in the next chapter you guys will see more information about werewolves and their bonds how it affects them and I would say that it varies from person to person some might not even have the same reaction as Chris. So yeah the next chapter will be about Chris learning more stuff about Lucien and about Cat and Leah.
