48 Ch.48 Out of the blue.

When Aro entrusted me with this mission I was happy that I got to fulfil his wishes. I was determined to do whatever it took to complete it but alas I had failed him. When we had looked into the newborn army it was being created by a new born named Riley he was a good leader he managed to amass quite the fleet.

The reason for his actions weren't made all too clear but we did know that Riley was targeting the Olympic Coven. Aro wanted Alice and Edward to join so our plan was simple: let them kill the others and in due time rescue them. We all were confident that the newborn army would be successful. How can a small clan defeat such a large army?

But we were wrong. As we approached the battlefield we expected the heads of the cullens but all we could find was the corpses of some of the newborns still burning and the Cullen clan still standing without a scratch. I was infuriated at the defeat of Riley. I saw a girl behind them and hoped that she could spill something against the cullens or even his leader so that I could stay longer.

Yet again nothing the Cullens were untouchable at the moment and I had no option but to accept their reasoning of territorial dispute. They would be watching us now, we would need to wait until we can find something on them. We were returning to our castle to report to Aro about the mission. I just hope he can forgive me.

We entered the castle and we couldn't see many people in the castle, today was a slow day. Aro and others must be relaxing. I said to them, "I'll give the report to Aro, rest of you can go and relax." Alec nodded but Demitry and Felix gave a stiff nod and walked away, Alec walked away as well. I went straight to report to Aro, usually during this time he is found in the garden painting.

I walked towards the garden and sure enough he was painting, he heard me coming and stopped. He turned his head and smiled and said, "Come sit."

I nodded and I walked closer to him and sat down on a chair next to him. He asked for my hand and I removed my glove and gave him my hand. He took it and gently patted it and he learned everything that had happened. He let go of my hand and he said, "There is no need to be so worried about the Cullens Jane. They are passionate about protecting their "family" we would just need to wait and sooner or later they will slip up and then we will get what we want."

I nodded and he smiled and said, "You must be parched, how about I send someone to your room to entertain you."

I nodded and he started humming and went back to painting, I got up and I picked up my glove and I saw the picture he was drawing it was of a giant grey beast with crimson eyes, as I saw the picture I had a feeling of dread and despair wash over me as I looked in its crimson eyes. I shook my head and I walked away.

A few days have passed since the whole war. I have been a little on edge because to me it seems like Cat is hiding something from me and I am still trying to figure it out. Today is a special day or something well, according to Bella that is. She had asked all of us to come to the Cullens house today. She has some important announcement or something.

Cat had asked Bella if she could invite Leah as well, seeing she is part of the pack and Bella saw no problem with it. She was happy with everyone being there. Cat had asked me to pick up Leah for some reason, I was okay with doing it but she could have come on her own.

I went on my bike to pick her up and I pulled up in front of her house and she came out wearing a red summer dress with white lilies printed on it. She looked cute in it. She walked up to me and I realised I should have bought the car with me instead of the bike. She looked at me and I shook my head and said, "You look super… good." What was that?

She still smiled and She got on the bike and I carefully rode it to Cullen's house. When I had first met her she was a little wary of the Cullens but all that seems to have changed I guess she was happy and excited to be here and I was happy because of it. Both of us entered the house and all of them were there.

Cat walked towards us and she kissed me on my cheek and she looked at Leah and said, "Oh, that dress looks so cute on you."

Leah looked down and said, "Oh, thank… you." She grabbed Leah's hand and they walked towards the girls.

I was ambushed from behind by Emmett. He wrapped his hands around my neck and started to squeeze it and I said, "Oye, oye you are choking me you bastard."

He loosened the grip and said, "Ah, sorry man, I forgot you aren't all that in this form."

I rubbed my throat and said, "If you want we can go out and I will prove you wrong."

But as we both were getting excited to fight we both felt a chill run down our spine, we saw and it was Emse she had a cold grin on her face and Jasper walked towards us and said, "Today is Edwards big day, let's not try to cause a ruckus shall we?"

I saw that Cat and Leah were missing and I was about to hear Leah's thoughts. I saw them come out of the hallway with Bella and Edward. They both were wearing matching outfits like Bella was wearing a simple black dress with some silver flower embroidery on her dress. She had free flowing hair.

Edward was wearing a black shirt and trousers. Cat and Leah left them and it looked like they knew something that all of us didn't and Alice also looked in on it. I asked Jasper, "You know something?"

He smiled and said, "I don't." I looked at him and he said, "Unless she wants to tell me. I don't ask her." He looked at me and said, "Trust me sometimes it's better to not know."

Cat and Leah came and they stood by my side and dad was standing with us as well and then Bella showed her hand and on that hand was a ring it was golden in colour with a lot of tiny diamonds embedded in them and at the same time both me and dad said the exact same words, "Son of a bitch."

Saying that we got glares from every woman except Rosalie and the glare was especially strong from Bella and we both straightened our faces and said, "We meant congratulations."

Dad just grumbled the words and smiled and after that went to get something to drink. All of them went to congratulate and then I went to congratulate them and Bella had a so what expression and I chuckled and I hugged her and I said, "I wish for nothing but happiness for you sister." I kissed her head and she hugged me back and there were little tears in her eyes.

Alice came through with tissues and wiped them, I looked at Edward and I said, "I know that she is stubborn and annoying sometimes but try to stick to her and you'll be fine." He chuckled and nodded and I nodded and patted his arm. After that I went out the balcony to find dad.

He had teary eyes and I said, "Must be hard huh?"

He shook his head and said, "You'll know it too someday."

I chuckled and said, "I doubt it dad."

He turned back and he sighed and said, "It just seems so weird, it seems like yesterday all I had to worry about was that you guys passed school and not ending up on some whacky show… but now it seems like that wouldn't be the worst."

I chuckled, breaking into laughter, we both laughed and I said, "You going out there? She is waiting for you?"

He exhaled and nodded and walked inside. I leaned my hands on the railing and I sighed and said, "A dad huh? Ridiculous."

After a while Leah came outside as well and stood next to me and asked, "You seem a little upset with this."

I chuckled and said, "I'm not just a bit worried that they are getting married so early." She looked at me and I said, "I mean, they both are immortal they can wait a few years before they do something like this. Just seem a little too fast."

She chuckled and said, "They are in love and yeah you are right they will be immortal and all so why does it matter they get married now or later, you said that they are mates so there is a great chance that they will stay together."

I sighed and nodded, I turned around and I looked inside all of them were happy and celebrating and I saw Cat and she also looked happy. I turned towards her and said, "Maybe you are right."

She smiled and took my hand and said, "I know I am, now lets go inside they are serving food now."

I smiled and followed her. I'll just try to relax for today besides my sister is getting married.
