42 Ch.42 Fight is coming.

After school was over Cat drove me to the reservation so that I could talk or more like inform Sam about this situation. To be honest I could have just turned them but the thought of managing them is terrifying and not to say that it screws up the whole plan of leaving this town and I kinda don't trust them to play nice once they have power like this.

We reached the reservation and Cat pulled up at the road she won't even go inside. I looked at her and she tilted her head and shrugged her shoulders. I sighed and said "Fine, wait here, I'll be back soon."

She nodded and kissed me and I got out of the car and walked in. I was walking towards Sam's house. I reached Sam's house but it looked like he wasn't there… Maybe he went with his pack for training or something. I walked up to his house and Emily was there. She saw me and said "Chris, come on in."

I walked inside and I said, "Thank you."

She walked into the kitchen and said "Sam is out with the pack he will be here in a few… What did you want to talk about." She got some ice tea for me.

I took it and I said, "Thank you." I took a sip and it was delicious. I looked at her and said, "Ah, it's amazing."

She chuckled and sat down on the sofa. She smiled and said, "I hope you had a nice time last night."

I nodded and smiled. "Yeah, I was very welcoming. Leah and Seth were very helpful, without them I might have been sitting alone and filling my stomach. I was happy to be a part of it, thank you."

She sat down and asked, "How is your dad doing?"

I nodded my head and said "He's been well. He spends more time in the forest, it helps him stretch his legs."

She smiled and asked, "And what about you?"

I nodded and I said "Well, I have been doing okay. The school is kinda killing me though, all of this at once is pretty jarring~."

She nodded and said "Ah, it will get better and this is your final year, try and relax, you'll be in college soon… I think?"

I chuckled and said "Yeah, I don't really think I am doing college. Not really for me."

She looked at me and asked, "So you plan to stay here then?"

I shook my head and said, "No, ah, I and Cat are planning to move around for a while. I want to see some of the world and who better to see it with than her."

She nodded and looked down at her glass. Then I heard footsteps and she got up from her seat and said "It must be Sam."

I smelled it and It was him. I was confused and she looked at me and said "It's a wolf thing."

I nodded and said, "Ah, yeah that imprinting thing." She nodded and I asked, "How do you even do that?"

Sam walked in and he said, "What do you want to imprint on her?"

I held my hands up and said "Ah, no she is yours. Just curious though."

He kissed her and she said, "Chris is here to talk about something important, so why don't you two talk while I get something for you two to eat?"

He nodded and she went to the kitchen. He looked at me and said "Walk with me."

We went outside and we were walking and he asked "Everything okay? Is it something with the vampires?"

I looked at him and said: " No, It's about your tribe, specifically the young people."

He was confused and she looked at me and I sighed and said "You remember yesterday I gave a ted talk about me and my dad."

He nodded and said, "Yeah and it helped… people are a little less intimidated than before…" He smiled awkwardly.

And I looked at him and I said "Well, it worked a little too well. Some kids from the tribe came to my school looking for a bite." He looked worried and shocked and I said "I sent them away but I don't think that they understand the stakes of the bite. They seemed adamant about helping you, helping us with the fight to come."

He looked at me and nodded and said "We should have known this. Ah, this is going to be a mess."

I looked at him and I said, "Look, I have seen glimpses of the pressure and responsibility that you bear and I don't think I can do that, so that's why I am here I need your help in making them understand that the bite may look like a gift but it's more like a poison chalice."

He looked at me and nodded and said, "I am going to have a talk about this with the council and I'll see what I can do."

I nodded and said, "Thank you."

I heard my phone buzz, I reached for my pocket and got my phone and I saw who was calling me and it was Cat. I picked it up and said "Yeah?"

She sounded a little anxious and worried. She said, "Alice had a vision, we were asked to come to the house. Bella and Edward are picking up Charlie, are you done with the meeting?"

I said "Yeah, I am done. I am coming." I looked at him and he said "Call me afterwards." I nodded and I walked away.

We were in the living room and Carlisle was standing with his arms crossed and he said to Alice "Tell them what you saw."

Alice looked terrified and she said, "The decision has been made that they will be here in 4 days." She looked at us and said "He has a huge army of 50. They are all trained at that."

Bella said, "It will be a bloodbath."

I said, "For them." Bella looked at me and I said "There are already 24 wolves on our side, Sam is an ally not to mention that there are two of us now. We will decimate them."

Jasper smiled and said, "Chris is right we would have a huge advantage. The newborns won't even know they exist."

Emmett smiled and said, "This will be fun! But this time we are keeping proper scores. I don't want us to lose to them."

I looked at him and said, "You are damn right."

Cat and Rosalie sighed and Carlisle looked at us and said "We would need some practice."

I looked at him and I said "But we just fought some dudes? Although yes they were weak and all but still…"

He sighed and said, "I mean have a cooperative exercise with the wolves and your dad is new to this he could also use some help."

I nodded and he said, "So I guess this is the end of the meeting. Chris, inform Sam about this. We will decide on the place later."

I nodded and said, "Alright."

After the meeting ended we went home. I called Sam when I got home and he agreed to the joint exercise, which was a little surprising to me knowing the new Beta's.

Cat and I were laying on the roof, Edward and Bella were in Bella's room, dad was watching a game. Cat was laying next to me and she was resting her head on my arm. We were looking at the sky which was lit up by the moons and the stars. Cat asked me "Why are you so excited about fighting?"

I sighed and said, "There are some reasons all of which make sense."

She turned towards me and gawked at me and I said "Babe, I know I look good but please stop drilling a hole in my head."

She folded her arms and continued to stare and I said "I am happy because it is happening sooner if it was any later we will have to deal with that guy and our exams."

She looked at me and squinted and said "That's it?" I nodded and she said "Huh, wouldn't you know that is somewhat understandable. I thought you were happy because you get to kill him?"

Dad said as he was sipping his beer, "I will kill him."

We all heard him and I said "Can I at least take his hands or something?"

He scoffed and said, "No, he tried to kill me, obviously I should be the one to take him out."

I sighed and said "Fine." Cat was looking at me and I asked "What?"

She nodded and said, "Yeah, that's more like you." I looked at her and I rolled her closer to me and she was above me and she squealed and giggled, and I started to kiss her and I heard Charlie in my head "Kill me now!"
