24 Ch.24 Smooth Sailing for now.

Months have passed and it is September now. The wolves have stopped the patrol all together they are busy training their pups. Weirdly, I have helped in increasing their numbers more than vampires did and unsurprisingly most of them are not that fond of me. I guess it has something to do with Jacob.

During spring break, Bella and I visited our mother in Jacksonville. She was a bit upset over the fact that we both decided to stay with Charlie but she was happy that we both were taken care of.

She has been pestering us both because she wanted to meet Edward and Cat, we made up an excuse that they can't because they were visiting some relatives of their own. Cat was also a little upset that she couldn't meet my mom.

These were the happy times of my life my relationship was good. My studies didn't take a hit I still managed to get good grades so did Cat. We both would spend most of our time in our new home but I would still need to go home before it was dawn.

Once I was back from Jacksonville Cat became a little clingy and I liked it, to be honest. The Cullen's were becoming more like a family to me and they also shared that feeling. I would spend more time with the guys and Esme would essentially act like my mom making me food and taking care of me.

Even Rosalie was opening up to me maybe because of Cat but we were at least on speaking terms with each other so that was nice. While I was enjoying my time Bella was not as happy as she could have been.

Well, that is if she stopped caring about Jacob... She has been worrying about him and what he said to her and Edward has mostly been down about it and has been trying to justify that what Jacob said is technically true. But she said that she doesn't care yet she is still worried about it and it's just stupid.

She once tried to ask me about this and I said what I always say to her "Do what you want to do and please stop asking me this." Needless to say, she didn't take that well which is normal considering it's her. I think she needs to stop because no one can have everything that they want... it's not possible.

I was in the new house I was sleeping beside Cat and she was just laying there and was working on some stuff on her laptop. I was dreaming or was is it something more akin to a vision I don't know.

I was hearing the sounds of the creatures of the night small and big were prevalent, the smell of meat cooking over wood, and the chatter and the singing of the people. I woke up in a jungle I looked around me and I was in a war camp. I was sitting on a throne. The men and women around me drinking and eating and laughing.

"Lucien" I turned and I saw a big man walking over towards me and behind him a huge number of followers presumably Warriors. I didn't know that man but words came out of my mouth "Ah... Ermis you came."

I got up from my throne and I hugged the man. Ermis was strong he laughed and said "If my friend calls and I don't show up either I am dead, fucking, or busy looting somebody."

I laughed and said, "Haven't changed a bit you big lug." I then said, "Come drink with me."

He laughed and said, "Oh, you don't have to say that again."

I said "Food and Wine in my tent quick." a young boy went to fetch it.

We went inside and Ermis said, "So why have you asked me and my people to come here?"

The boy entered with the wine and cheese and bread. He had tattered clothes and a bruised face. He put it on the table and stood there and I smiled and said "You can leave now?"

He stuttered and said "Yes, lord." He bowed and went out of the tent.

Ermis looked at that kid leaving and he said "That kid... he seems eager to turn. What do you wish to do with him?"

I poured us some wine in mugs and I handed one to Ermis and said: "I don't know I knew her mother and she died for me so I do feel responsible for him."

He took a sip and asked, "What is that boy's name?"

I said "His name's Aro."

I was woken up from my sleep by Cat she shook me and she said "Come on Chris get up... it's time for you to leave."

I opened my eyes and I said "Five more minutes."

She said, "I would love to keep you here but Charlie doesn't know that you are here and if he finds out you will be grounded."

I got up and I sighed and said "We need to put a sleep schedule in place." I put my clothes on and I was going to say something but Cat said "Yeah I know I will get your lunch. Now go!"

She dropped me at the door and I kissed her and she said "Love you"

I said, "Love you too babe..."

I took my shoes and my pants in my hand and I ran for my home. I reached my home in like 5 min. I jumped on the roof and went inside. I went to wake up Bella and she opened the door.

I said "Good morning sis, Edward."

Bella said "Morning..." Edward then walked over to the door and said "Morning." He then kissed Bella and said, "See you in school." He then left from the window.

We both then went ahead and brushed out teeth and stuff and Bella asked "Bacon and Eggs?" I nodded and said "Okay."

She asked, "How was your night?"

I said, "Not going to talk about that with you."

She said, "Come on I am your sister. I can talk about my stuff if it makes you comfortable?"

I looked at her and said, "It does not."

She then sighed and said, "I wish I could have what you have."

I said, "Then ask Carlisle or Alice heck even Esme might do it. But I can't be sure they can ask you to wait until 18 or something."

She asked, "Why can't you turn me?"

I said, "Because mine is not that safe. It can kill you and didn't you want to be a vampire anyway?"

She sighed and said, "I do but I don't know if Edward will do it and I don't want to ask someone else or that might upset Edward."

I said, "You are already upsetting him with Jacob though."

She sighed and said "I know. But still, you can try?"

I looked at her and I placed my hands on her shoulders and said, "I am not going to experiment on my family." She nodded.

I then looked at her and I said "Learn to be patient and learn to let go Bella it will help you and me in the long run."

I was then leaving and she asked "What do you mean by letting go?"

We were having breakfast and Charlie asked "So anything new kids?"

We said, "No not really..."

He then nodded and asked, "Ok, have you guys decided something about your future? Like where do you want to go for college or something?"

Bella said "I don't know... I still have some time to think about all of it."

Charlie then looked at me and I said "Well, I am not going to college that's for sure."

He was confused and asked, "Why is it because of Cat?"

I said, "Oh, no it's not because of her it's that I am going to take online courses on learning python and other stuff and invest in some stocks and travel around for a while... so that's my plan."

He looked at me and sighed and said "That doesn't seem... safe. You know what I am trying to say right?"

I nodded and I said, "Yeah, I get it but I don't want a desk job or anything like that and don't worry if push comes to shove I might join the academy as a backup."

He then said, "You don't have to do that just think a little more you have time... to decide what you want to do."

I smiled and said, "Time is something that I have."
