A quick operation

Emilio put the gun behind his back, looked around, and climbed up a tree.

Airon then quickly checked the wreckage of the helicopter, searched for all available weapons and ammunition in the cabin, and after the wounded were put on a stretcher, everyone quickly left the scene.

Just as Airon and his group quietly left, two women slowly stepped out of the grass on the other side of the forest. One of the black skinned women was holding two walkers with lassoes behind them and carrying a sword on her back, she was none other than Michonne.

The other black-skinned woman was holding a pistol as she nervously gazed into the depths of the surrounding forest.

Michonne tied the two walkers to a tree. These two cmaintes had their arms and jaws amputated, and they stood silently to one side.

"I'll go ahead and take a look, you help me cover my back!"

Hearing this, the woman holding the gun nodded and took the safety off of her.

Jogging to the side of the helicopter, Michone saw the body of the man who had been thrown out of the helicopter and his body had been cut in two at first glance, but the wound on that person's face made Michonne's eyes widen slightly.

Seeing this, a sense of danger welled up in her body and she went directly to check that person's body, when her suspicions came true, her body sweated coldly and there was a question in her mind, was there anyone else around before he reach?

When Michonne saw this, she did not have time to look inside the cabin, so she wanted to run back quickly from where she came, but she heard the sound of an engine not far from her position.

As she approached to look, she watched in the distance as cars parked as close as they could inside the forest, and quickly ran to her companion who was not far away, the two crouched down in the grass to hide their figures.

"What's wrong?" Michonne ran back in a hurry and after seeing her asked her to duck, he thought she had found something wrong.

Hearing this, Michonne signaled for silence and unconsciously touched the handle of the sword on her back with her right hand. Meanwhile, her eyes stared at the open space not far away.

After some hesitation, Michonne knew that she had to resolve the other party's doubts and said, "There were only two dead people in the place, but apparently people are coming, let's not make any noise!"

Thinking about this, she didn't want to reveal too much for now, it wasn't the right time and quite possibly the other party could find out about her position if they keep making noise, so she didn't mention anything else.

As the two of them cried out, they saw a Jeep pass by towards the inside and about five people got out of the car.

"Come on!"

The one who had just spoken was the leader, better known as the Governor, who ordered his subordinates to disperse and clean up the walkers around.

The Governor also looked around before walking near the downed helicopter. The first thing he saw was the severed corpse on the road.

"Governor! Someone seems to have been here, there are eliminated walkers in the vicinity of this place!" Martinez pointed to the corpses scattered around.

The governor's face became even more grim, and he leaned forward to look inside the cabin without saying a word, indeed! The same wound appeared in the other person's eye socket!

The governor's eyes narrowed slightly and he looked around again unconsciously, before saying to his subordinates, "Maybe someone has been here, as well as maybe someone of the wounded has escaped! Search around and see who has escaped, they couldn't have gone that far."

"Yes!"

All the subordinates who received the order began to walk further, looking for clues left by people on the ground.

"They went this way!" A black-skinned man just saw a row of footprints on the ground and shouted to the people to come and see. This was the direction where Airon and the others had retreated earlier. Martinez was the first to arrive and check the footprints on the ground.

After some time, he raised his head and said to the Governor with an unnatural tone, "These are footprints of many people! Do we still have to chase them?"

"Hu..." The Governor's eyes became colder, then he turned to the dead soldier beside him and after a while, he suddenly stepped on his face, then continuously stepped on the soldier's face until he became a bloody mess as if he was venting his fury.

While everyone was in the vicinity, Martinez just watched the Governor's behavior without saying a word.

"Who are you, don't move!"

Suddenly, several people heard someone shout not far from the forest, they all moved towards the sound of the voice and discovered that one of their companions had raised his gun towards a spot.

Seeing this, the governor signaled with his eyes for them to slowly surround them.

Knowing that they had been discovered, Michonne reached out her hand to grab the woman at her side and ran into the bushes behind, the panicked woman realized the situation and ran after Michonne. But with a weakened body, her body didn't respond as she wanted it to, and the result was a feeling she became dizzy before falling to the ground as soon as she tried to run.

Michonne rushed to help the other party, but found that the group of people had already surrounded them on both sides. Michonne only had time to get her hand on the handle of her sword, but there were numerous weapons pointed at her from all sides.

"What do you think you'll do with a sword, don't try anything stupid and put your gun down! Our bullets are definitely faster than the movement of your sword." Martinez, who was at the front of the group, spoke in a low voice.

Looking around, he discovered that she had nowhere to run. Michonne reluctantly put her sword to the ground, and the woman next to her also put her gun on the ground, and they both raised their hands.

The governor approached slowly, his cold eyes had returned to normal at this point, as he came to the front he looked at the two women and then said in a slow tone, "Do you know where the pilot of this helicopter is? I'm very surprised that he disappeared before we arrived, aren't you?"

Michonne looked cold and stern, looking intently at the governor she remarked, "I don't know!"

The governor shrugged and flashed a meaningful smile, "Well, I understand that but you'll have to escort me back to our home and my actions may be a bit offensive to you."

...

When the Governor returned to the car and drove to his shelter, Michonne and the other woman were blindfolded and could only faintly look at the place through the gaps in the cloth.

Through the cloth, Michonne could see the trees outside the car window receding, houses in ruins and walkers moving through the place. All this under the pitch black color under the filter of the cloth in her eyes. She could only curse her bad luck in this bad situation.

At this moment, the sound of the intercom turning on came from the front row, and then the Governor's voice also rang out, "Zz.... Prepare the infirmary!"

"How many people?" A man's voice came from the other end of the intercom.

"Two people, both women, and one of them is not in good condition! She's probably too scared and dehydrated due to starvation."

"Understood Governor!"

"We'll be at our shelter in at least five more minutes, although this was a wasted trip, we were able to rescue two beautiful women." Said the governor in a deep voice.

"What was it that happened?"

"Well, Milton, I don't think it's good to talk for now, don't you?"

The Governor turned off the radio impatiently, soon enough Michonne could see that they had arrived at the meeting place and looked at some people standing upright on a sort of wall made of tires.

"Michonne?" A woman's voice suddenly came from beside her.

Michonne turned her head and answered quietly, "I'm here, Janet!"

They were soon taken to the infirmary, after a few tests, the doctor breathed a sigh of relief and said in a relaxed tone, "They're just malnourished, they'll recover if they eat well later."

"Doctor, why are we locked in here, what is this place?" Janet was the first to ask the question, covering her arm that had just been checked by the doctor.

The doctor looked at the two of them with complex expressions, then looked at two people outside the door, hesitated for a moment, and then explained, "I shouldn't answer this question to you..."

After he finished speaking, he put his things away and left the room, as the governor who was outside the door entered, before he could speak, Michonne stopped him and said, "We want our own weapons back!"

The governor happily agreed, "Of course, I'll get your things ready later!"

Janet also mildly questioned, "Then why keep us locked in this room?"

Hearing this, the Governor looked at the infirmary doors and windows, then spread his hands in confusion and asked, "Do you see the sealed windows or doors? When were they locked? We just need to take care of them so they don't make a mistake, that's all."

"Isn't that the same thing? Obviously, this is strict surveillance, right?" Janet asked persistently.

The governor's face became serious and he said solemnly, "Listen! I want to consider the safety of my own people first! They're just strangers to me right now! We don't know them after all!"

"We don't know them either! Right now we just want to take our things and leave this place!" Janet stared into the governor's eyes with a serious tone.
