93 Mystery Reincarnate Revealed

After leaving Benjiro, Ori made his way to the Moonlight Pavilion. According to the history books, several hundred years ago, shortly after the formation of the World Government, a powerful group of rebels had fought their way to Enies Lobby hoping to bring it down in an attempt to metaphorically slap the face of the newly formed super faction.

When all hope seemed lost, a beautiful woman floated down under the night sky landing on a beautifully crafted building, which under the chaos of the war had somehow managed to survive. As she floated down, snowflakes started falling around her making those who saw her feel as if she had a sacred aura that shouldn't be tainted. As she landed on the roof of the building with nothing but her sword in hand, she warned the rebels that if they carry on death was the only outcome.

Eventually the rebels managed to overcome her beauty and carried on their assault. She ordered her subordinates who had previously been fighting tooth and nail to protect the name of the World Government to retreat while she advanced and took on the enemy on her own. That war went on for 24 hours but eventually she was able to force them back. After the war, the ground was littered with the bodies of her enemies and the rubble of the buildings in the surrounding area, but that beautifully crafted building still stood without so much as a brick out of place or a speck of blood tainting its image.

That woman went on to become one of the original 3 Admirals, The Lunar Goddess. And the building became her place of residence, The Moonlight Pavilion!

When he arrived Ori couldn't help but marvel at the sight of the majestic building. It was sealed off to the public with guards patrolling the perimeter, but Ori easily snuck past without being noticed.

After breaking through to the Grandmaster boundary he had become a lot closer to nature and as a result saw the world in a whole new light. As Ori stood atop of the roof he felt a weak, yet sharp and chilly aura fluctuating. He closed his eyes in an attempt to understand the truth of that aura.

[Is this… Sword Force?!

Incredible! Even though this Sword Force has clearly weakened over time I can feel how fearsome it once was.

This must be the Sword Force left by the Lunar Goddess. To think she was a Sword Saint… Incredible, truly incredible!]

He closed his eyes and pressed his index and middle fingers of both hands together and started practicing basic sword stances. Even though they were only basic sword stances and no sword intent was being used, no one would be able to deny the charm of his movements.

After a couple of minutes practicing, Ori came to a gentle stop. With only a couple minutes of practicing under the influence of lingering sword force, Ori was able to somewhat deepen his comprehension into the way of the sword and stabilize his boundary after his prior breakthrough.

[If I was able to train here regularly I'd be able to see twice the results with half the effort.]

With his eyes still closed he said gently.

"How long do you intend to watch me from the shadows?"

A man wearing a plain grey hooded robe stepped out from behind the pavilion. When he saw the face of the man a surprised light flashed in Ori's eyes. Despite only appearing for the briefest of moments, that flash of surprise didn't go unnoticed. The robed man asked in an almost expectant manner.

"You recognise me?"

Ori who was disguised as Shunsui smiled as he replied.

"Of course I do. I'd have to of lived under a rock not to recognise one of the Navy's Empyrean Trinity, The Lone Wolf!"

The man stared intently at the brightly dressed samurai before him.

"You're lying! That look in your eyes was more than just recognising me as The Lone Wolf. You recognised me from my past life!"

Shunsui looked at the man with a confused expression as he asked.

"Past life? What do you mean?!"

Even though Ori wasn't showing it, he was deeply shocked by the real identity of the one whose referred to as 'The Lone Wolf'.

[I didn't expect the one who sent me the note to be him…]

He looked to be about 18 or 19, stood just over 6", had light grey eyes and unkempt, wavy, dark brown hair which ended at the bottom of his neck.

Even though he looked younger and didn't have his goatee like in the anime, Ori recognised him as soon as he saw him. It was the sharp shooting Arrancar, Coyote Starrk!

Even though Ori had never seen a picture of 'The Lone Wolf', between the fact that he was here on Enies Lobby, the hub of the World Government, he looked to be 18 years old and the fact that in his past life his sharpshooting abilities were top notch, it wasn't hard to put 2 and 2 together.

Starrk looked lightly at Ori as he already expected him not to admit it straight away.

"Please stop with the charades. I'm not interested in making your life difficult, I'm just looking for answers!"

Ori looked at the seemingly indifferent Starrk and saw that even though he was doing a pretty good job suppressing it, there was a hint of desperation hidden in the depths his eyes. It was understandable though, knowing that you were reincarnated but not being able to remember anything from your last life would be enough to drive anyone crazy!

To be honest Ori didn't really mind if others eventually thought that he was reincarnated as they'd think that it was Shunsui not Ori.

"Telling you isn't impossible…"

Hearing that Starrk almost failed to hide his anticipation as he replied.

"What do you want?!"

"If you can beat me then I'll tell you what you want to know!"

Starrk looked incredulously at the man before him.

"You want to fight me?"

Ori didn't say anything he just nodded. Ever since he'd broken through earlier he was dying to test his strength and with one of the Navy's Empyrean Trinity stood before him, he would be a fool to waste this opportunity.

Starrk wasn't against the idea of fighting the mysterious samurai in front of him. In fact ever since he saw him at Khaylee's he felt a burning desire to do battle with him. He felt as if fighting against him may help to unlock his memories.

Both men stood mere meters from one another as a raging battle intent surged forth from both of them.
