Chapter 2 Where's the manager?

(After 7 years )

"I don't want to eat it anymore, can you bring me some ....pasta ? " asked the kid in front of a heavenly kid wearing an apron .

"Pasta...my foot, it's already your fifth time . If you still can't make up your mind just eat what I got you . " Said the little waiter annoyed .

" I am your customer, you should serve me ,not yell like this ." He said with a smug.

"You are a customer ? Are you sure ? To me ..You look like a ... Little DEVIL 😈" the waiter barked while making two horns at his head with his hands .

The other boy gets up from the chair and reveals his tall figure to which the heavenly boy is like a rat in front of a giraffe. He scanned the boy up and down with his eyes . And the other boy just smirked at his victory.

"So what if you are taller , you are still a devil ..a Bigfoot 👿" now it was his turn to smirk because the boy in front of him just looked so pissed 😡.

" You called me Bigfoot ...that ..that monster ...." He came forward looking straight in the heavenly boy's eyes and continues "where is the manager? "

The heavenly boy was like he is actually in heaven and he just stood there giving an ear to ear smile which worked like a fuel to the fire and the bigfoot shouted "WHERE IS THE MANAGER?????"

A lady in her early thirties came out running from the restaurant's kitchen wearing an apron , hairs tied up in a bun and hands still covered with potato filling of * Aalu ka paratha * " What's happening here ? " She came near them and asked " What are you two doing ? I know you met after seven years but it's not a way Krish, there are other customers too ."

She looks at the angry boy and asks " What happened to you dear ? " She points at Krish and continues " he did something? "

She turns to face Krish and orders him " Krish show Ishan your room and Don't fight . You shouldn't fight with him when he came to see you early in the morning. You should appreciate your good friends. "

Krish looks at her like she has grown two faces and then looks between Ishan and the lady and then comes "ISSSSHHHHHHAAAAAAAANNNNNN"

WAKE UP WAKE UP IT'S TIME TO GET UP , a little pause, GOODMORNING BEAR 🐻

Krish gets up abruptly and looks around the room to find the source of sound , his heart beating like crazy , although his brain is pretty clear that he doesn't want to see him , his eyes are showing a whole different story of anticipation No No No don't get it wrong it's an anticipation of an apology .

He raises his right hand and puts it on his chest and rubs his left side of chest and takes a few deep breaths to calm himself , he can't lose it today .

He turns and takes the source of sound in his hands and shuts it off which was actually his alarm ⏰. Just then someone knocks on his door " You can come inside" he said with a sigh .

A lady in her thirties enters through the door giving him a warm smile but concern in her eyes " I heard some noise....are you fine?"

He rubs his eyes and smiles at her " yeah , It was just my alarm , I accidentally set..."

The lady cutted him off with a tight hug " It's thd most awaited day . Don't worry about anything. " She backs off and gestures a "fighting " and starts to go out of the room .

Krish calls from behind " Thanks, Masi " (* masi - maternal aunt / mother's sister *)

She just waves her hand from behind and exits his room .

Krish gets up from the bed and goes straight to the bathroom.

Krish comes out of his room in a black suit , his shoulder length silky hairs styled in a messy style .

He goes down the stairs to the living room of their one- storey house where his Masi Sneha and Nani (maternal grandmother) have their eyes settled on the television .

His Nani hears his footsteps and gets up from the sofa to greet him " Good morning, son ! "

" Good morning, Ma "

" Come on, give a hug 🤗 to Ma "

He goes their and gives a hug to Nani . Sneha gets up from the sofa and leaves for the kitchen .

"It's about to start , son . I wish they won't get any awards this year. They deserve burning in the hell not receiving awards . " She says only bitterness in her voice for those people who are unfortunately krish's paternal family .

"Here eat something first ." Sneha passes him the plate she held in her hand and continues " I made your favourite* palak ki Puri and allu ki sabzi* today ."

He grabs the plate hastily " ohh ! You should make it more frequently Masi 😜" and he starts eating completely focused on his food , ignoring what the duo of ladies are talking about.

We're at the imperial building now . All the invited guests have already arrived. And the function is about to start .

Everyone is excited for this year's Imperial Business Awards as few new business have set their foot in the industry.
