Reviews of Touch of Fate

Not perfect, but certainly better than a lot of the other novels on this website. The MC is a bit underwhelming in terms of personality, but the system is interesting and the world is well flavored. Speaking of which, the world building in this novel is excellent. Although not exactly original (it is a fairly standard sword and sorcery setting), the author has clearly put a lot of thought into how the world works. So much so, that I'm looking forward to when the MC begins to explore other parts of it. There's even a world (well regional) map posted on one of the first few chapters. Honestly, if the author ever follows through on his/her promise of rewriting the first part of the story, and does some fairly significant editing to the rest, this could easily be publishable.

One of the best novels on this site. I really like it and I hope that it continues. Also it will be really great if the new chapters are more frequent

Wonderful book wit an interesting blend of comedy action and responsibility. This is really a good book that I would recommend to anyone. 👍👍😁

Very nice. Even the cliches are actually explained through Mike's extensive number of fantasy novels that he have read. The action is good, the characters are fleshed out (even the opposing factions), the story has way more, that could still offer.

Great and funny story, you should try as the OPness is not much ...for now......as it depends of the MC desire to learn and experience different things. Really good for fun reading

One of the best books available in this website. I would only suggest that the author should try and set a more easily seen progression in his skills and comparison between others.

So the thing i like the most about this novel is the narrative style(if you are desperate for a read with actually good English then you have find your match, just think of it as being fooled by me and read a couple of chapters ) and the world building, the shortcomings being the lack of updates and the character development.

(Writing Quality): What most stories fail to do on Webnovel are have good grammar, something this story does amazingly right. (5/5) (Stability of Updates): Nearly a constant daily release between chapters, with the author barely missing a beat. (5/5) (Story Development): The story is mostly about the adventures of Mike (MC) in another world, and there is no real story or plot for some part of the beginning. It doesn't pick up for a little, but this isn't necessarily a bad thing. As for the story itself, it seems a little cliche, but I don't have any problems with it. (4/5) (Character Design): Two minor flaws with the characters are the MC himself, and the tropes other characters sometimes take on. The MC is said to have over two million experiences, but this doesn't really reflect well in the story. Fortunately, he doesn't act inherently idiotic or stupid, and most of the time people call him "a StUpId mC" are because of a minor mistake or something that wasn't really stupid. The trope characters, most noteably his tsundere companion, don't actually act like that all the time, but tend to fall into that characterization more often than not. (4/5) (World Background): The other world's background is not actually focused on for a long time. As the novel goes along the journey, it describes the places the MC visits. It isn't until near the middle to end of the second volume the MC learns more of the world itself. The history is actually explored quite a bit and given a few chapters describing it. The author gives explanation for a lot of the reasons the world works the way it does, and it doesn't feel like it's an entire info dump. (5/5) As of the end of volume two, I have really, really liked this story. It should definitely be given a chance to read, and deserves a much higher ranking as compared to other stories. I should also mention, for what readers tend to focus on a lot, is that as of right now, there is no harem. While there are romantic interests, there are only hinted at, and it hasn't been fully established (to my knowledge) if there will be a harem or not.
