As Haewon drove, Charlotte busied herself with her phone since it was obvious Haewon didn't want to indulge in any form of conversation.
After contemplating about it for some time, Charlotte decided to text Jake and find out what was up with him and if he was deliberately avoiding Haewon or not.
[Hey! Are you alright? Where are you? Haewon is very worried about you. We just left your apartment, and we are on our way to school. She wants us to see if you are in class.]
After sending the text, she waited for some time, and when she didn't get a response from her, she sighed.
What had she been expecting anyway? Did she think things would be different between them simply because his grandmother had said she would prefer he falls for her and not Haewon?
Once Haewon and Charlotte got to school, they headed straight to Jake's department.
