Filling up the hole

Arriving at the place the bouder was indicated to be, they searched around the place, only to show but two titans that were moving away.

"It seems the plan has already started. We better go clean up near that hole to make it all go easier."

Akane ordered, moving forward towards the gaping hole.

Alongside her were Ban and Lafitte.

Shinobu had gone to the wall as well, but across the wall to see if anything went wrong. If it did, they had transponder den-den-mushi to communicate.

Around the hole in the wall, more and more titans were coming through.

Not so far behind them, they could hear the striking of thunder. Glancing backwards, Akane could see the rising figure of a titan just besides the boulder.

"The plan is starting. Let's thin out these numbers."

Doing just that, she and her crew blasted through the approaching titans as if they were paper, clearing out even a part near the hole to make the transition go a lot easier.

"Is he moving yet?"

Akane asked as she dug her claws deeply into the wall as support.

"Nope, not an inch. He did just slap down a lot of his friends, but he's just sitting there, doing nothing~"

Ban replied as he harvested a lot of necks with his fox hunt.

"Indeed. Something seems to have gone wrong. Should we do it ourselves captain? I'm sure you can lift that rock."

Lafitte replied, as he cut the tendons of a rather tall titan, making it an easy target for Ban to finish off.

"I think we should wait just a bit more. The boy scout needs to prove himself first. He might be disposed of if we take his only chance to show his worth. If he doesn't move in the next twenty minutes, we will fill up the hole."

Akane replied as she and her crew made their way up the wall and glanced down at the titans. Shortly after, Shinobu arrived as well, her face bloody as steam rose from it. In her hands was a impossibly big arm.

"Oi, oi, Shinobu. Did you get a power boost or something?"

Ban asked in curiosity, looking at the odd sight of Shinobu lifting something heavy.

"Not at all! This thing is as light as a feather. Want to try?"

Without waiting to hear a reply, she tossed the smoking arm at Ban, who easily caught it from the air.

"Wah, this is so weird, it's a bit creepy. Big guys should be heavy as well, what is with this abnormal piece of junk?"

Handing it to Lafitte, Ban looked at Shinobu, who was smiling as brightly as she could.

"Isn't it interesting? From the looks of it, the DNA of these titans closely resemble that of humans. An outside factor has altered the inner structure, turning it into this amazing piece of work. I really want to find out who made them."

Shinobu continued her ramblings, dissecting the arms as it was disintegrating.

"Ho! The boy scout is up! Seems he got his act together. Let's clear out the titans below us captain. Don't want the ally to think we're slaking."

Ban shouted, as he jumped off the wall as easy going as he was, nimbly landing in front of a horde of titans. It was surprising they weren't interested in them, as they only had their eyes on titan Eren.

"This just makes it easier!"

Ban laughed, as he made a huge leap, landing on one of the titan's shoulders and tore out its neck. Jumping to the next, he repeated this for as many times as he could.

Akane was moving as well, having turned into her fox form, slashing and tearing through the titans as if they were butter. This made it easy for Lafitte and Shinobu to finish them off as they were lying bisected on the ground, slowly regenerating.

As Eren got closer, other people in uniform arrived as they began to distract the remaining titans, not even speaking a word about the other monstrosity that was tearing titans apart for sport.

A few of the people almost died, only for Lafitte to cut them loose. They ended up injured, but it was still better than dying through being eaten by a titan.

Up to the point Eren arrived at the hole, all the people began to scream for him to close it.

The only outlier being Ban.

"Come on! You got to fill that hole! Push it in hard!"

Shaking her head, Akane rustled her fur, as all the steaming blood was shaken off, dirtying all the people around her.

"Get serious Ban. Go fill a hole yourself if you are so desperate. I'm sure Elaine won't mind."

Smirking, Akane winked at Ban, who could only laugh as he kept choking from laughter.

"Aye Aye captain. Let's get some good sake to fill our mouths with. I'm sure Elaine won't mind me getting drunk."

As the hole was finally filled, the titan Eren was in collapsed. All the titans that came towards them were dealt with as Eren's friends got him out of the titan, cutting his arms free from his creation.

At that point, another pip-squeak appeared, looking all grumpy as if he had no words about the situation he found himself in.

"I expect an explanation once we're done here."

He said, turning his eyes on a group of titans that were once more approaching, slicing them up like sashimi.

"I'm sure he will get one. Say Ban, let's get some food."

Returning to the side of her crew, a shadow dropped down beside her, revealing the panting figure of Soren, his panther ear pressed close against his skull from the sweat.

"Whew. Am I on time captain? I rushed her as fast as I could."

Seeing Soren, Akane burst out in laughter.

"You missed the best part, my friend. Guess you can get some fun with the clean up. That guy over there is doing a good job."

Pointing at the pip-squeak, Akane sat down on the ground as she made herself comfortable. No titans were around them, so they had all the leisure time they needed.

"More importantly.... did you bring some food and booze? I'm guessing they won't give me any."

Ban said as he pointed at the soldiers that were rushing at them.

"I have, but help me out with the clean up later. I don't have a clue on how to fight them."

Soren replied as he handed out the food and drinks he had taken with him from the ship.

Like that, they started a small banquet, making a nice picture as other people were fighting for their lives while the Demon fox pirate crew took a break amidst the corpses of humans and titans alike.
