Andrew Morgan

The clock slowly ticked by while the suffocating silence prevailed on the inside of the toilet area. This was the most awkward scene Luke ever encountered in his life. Never did he think that toilet would be his first battlefield. Many students seem interested in the video played on Luke's phone, but they didn't dare to move forward as it was considered a rude action for the officer. Therefore, they could only quietly tiptoe in order to catch a glimpse of the video.

After a few minutes passed, the video finally ended. Diverting his gazes from Luke's phone, the man turned to Luke and inquired, "What's your name, lad?"

Being asked suddenly, Luke startled for a moment before replying, "My name is Luke Lewis, sir."

A smile climbed on the man's face while his hand patting Luke's shoulder, "You did well. Where did you learn such a move?"

"I didn't learn it from anyone. It was purely coming from my instinct." Luke answered truthfully before asked hesitantly, "Is this part of the investigation, sir?"

"No, I'm just asking in curiosity." The man grinned before approaching the fierce man and placed the handcuff on the man's hand, "You're under arrest."

"W-What?? That joke wasn't funny, sir." The fierce-man forced a smile as his hand kept wriggling off, trying to remove the handcuff.

"Stop resisting. You're under arrest in charge of attempting murder on an underage kid." All the students were in shock upon hearing the officer's statement.

"What the heck! That's an absurd accusation! I'm gonna sue you for wrongly accused me!" The fierce-man shouted and planned to escape when the officer put his hand above the fierce-man shoulder, "I said, stop resisting!"

Immediately, he felt his bone crushed by a dominating force, while his body went trembling madly before collapsed due to the force the officer gave.

"Relax, you do not die yet. I'm only exerting a bit of my power to render you unable to move temporarily." The officer squatted down and said casually as if breaking bones was like ripping off a paper.

He then turned to the students and asked, "Have the ambulance arrive?"

The student just about to answer when a loud siren could be heard from the outside.

"Ah, there they are." The officer said relief as he approaches Luke, "Although you look fine, you better let the medical team check your condition in case your injury was hidden deep within your body."

'That was my plan as well.' Luke thought to himself as he nods his head.

A couple of minutes flew by and the medical team finally reached the bathroom area and immediately carried the unconscious guys using a stretcher. Luke was offered to be lifted by stretcher, but he refused it since his body physically can still moving normally.

Making his way to the ambulance vehicle, Luke was ordered to sit as the person-in-charge immediately inquired regarding his condition, "Did you feel uncomfortable somewhere?"

"My whole body feels sore, especially in my neck's area," Luke replied honestly. At this point, trying to be tough was a foolish action since it could lead to death if the medical team judged your condition wrongly.

"Neck?" The man then moved his head closer and inspected Luke's neck thoroughly, "Are you trying to hang yourself? How could the bruise look dreadful like this?"

"Ahaha," Luke only laughed at the man joke and didn't provide him with an answer. The man didn't inquire any further and fetched a bottle of ointment and soft cotton buds.

Rubbing the cotton buds inside the bottle, the man then proceeds to apply it on Luke's neck gently, "Bear the pain."

"Argh!!" Luke groaned in pain as he gritted his teeth trying to endure the pain.

...

There's a saying that when you suffered pain, the time will seem slowed down. Now, Luke can relate to that saying as he felt the treatment was going as in eternity. Luke even almost jumped in pain when the cotton bud touched his neck. Fortunately, his endless suffering ended now.

'F*** that lunatic! Why he's so ruthless dealing with an underage like me.' Luke cursed the fierce-man repeatedly during the treatment session. Luckily, that officer arrived early. He couldn't imagine what will happen to his neck if the officer shows up a bit late. Would his neck still intact?

"Later on, prevent water from contacting your neck skin within 12 hours to increase medicine efficiency. Oh, now let's check your body. Please open your shirt." Luke complied with the man's request and started undressing the upper side of his body.

After getting examined, Luke was told that his body injury isn't that serious and would recover by itself as time passed.

After thanking the man, Luke made his way toward the officer who saved him earlier. Currently, the officer had his back leaning against his black car while smoking silently.

Seeing Luke slowly coming closer, the officer asked after their distance close enough for talking, "Have your wound get treated?"

"Yeah," Luke pointed at his own neck before bowing his back slightly, "Thank you for saving me earlier, sir."

Waved his hand nonchalantly, the officer replied, "Nah, it was part of my job. If I couldn't protect a kid like you, I would just go resign from my job."

"Anyway, how will you cope with your school later on? Even though your action is considered self-defence, it was still causing four people injured. Moreover, the one you injured could be considered come from a good background." The man asked as he twirled the cigarette with his finger.

Looking at how proficient the man playing with his cigarette without getting his fingers burned, Luke was astonished for a moment before he recovered and answered, "I'll just accept whatever result will come out. If they decided to expel me, then I'd love to follow their decision.

"Heh, you're really an interesting kid." The officer snickered before putting his hand inside his coat pocket and pull something out of it. He then forwarded his hand in which a name card was lying on his palm. Silently questioned the man's intention with his face, the officer knows what's his thinking and quickly adding, "Take it. Assume it was a safe card. If you happen to across something dangerous, you can directly contact me by using the number on that card."

Taking the card from the officer's palm, Luke skimmed it briefly.

"Andrew Morgan"

'So his name is Andrew Morgan.' Luke thought to himself before thanking the man sincerely, "Thank you, Mister Andrew. I'll cherish it."

"No need to cherish it. Just use it whenever you feel need to." The man then tossed his cigarettes over the floor and stomped it lightly before spoke, "I'm going first. You should also go home since you're a wounded person, and the school had no authority to interrogate their wounded students unless the students volunteered willingly. But I believe you're not that stupid to confess at this chaotic condition, right?"

Luke only smiled as the response.

Andrew was about to enter his car when he realized how bad Luke's condition is. Turning his body around, he offered, "Want to take a ride together?"

"Sure!" Luke replied happily.
