The shadow pack

I see it, and Lowell sees it. Everyone can tell that something is up between Tala and Walker but I don't want to even think about it. I am the one that convinced Uncle Darrien to let her come back to the shadow pack with us because the tension between her and Walker has gotten to be too much that I am scared it won't end well.

Lo starts the car and Tala clutches onto the seat belt as the car rolls down "Are you okay?" I ask her.

She shrugs "Feel kind of weird but I will be fine,'' she tries to assure me but I don't believe her.

"Okay."

The car ride is silent and I know we will have to stop at a motel for the night. Lowell hates driving through the night whenever we come to the green springs pack. I rest my back on the seat as we continue to drive just as Tala rests her head on my shoulder and closes her eyes.
