Alexia's Gift

"I surrender."

Alexia really didn't want to deal with this match. Though she had easily beaten him in the cafeteria, that was when they weren't allowed to use mana.

If she fought him now, she'd definitely lose. If she had to guess, his ranking lay between 200 and 300. Being generous, if Alexia went all out, she would be roughly ranked between 400-500.

It was a match she was going to lose, so no point in actually fighting. Though, even if Alexia could win, she'd still say the same thing.

He was also probably pissed at her from before.

"Unfortunately, you are not allowed to surrender. The only way you're leaving this area is until you lose, win or force your opponent to surrender."

To her dismay, the teacher standing nearby didn't accept her surrender.

'What kind of fascist regime is this? I want to go home.' Alexia thought despondently.

"Hey, can you surrender for me?" She tried bargaining with her opponent. But she realised she had only made him angrier.

"You think I'm letting you off that easily?"

'Is he still pissed about the cafeteria incident. It's been a week man.'

"Okay, how about this? I'll give you one free punch as revenge. Also, with that punch, hit me hard enough to knock me out."

Alexia believed it was a perfectly reasonable deal. She hit him once in the cafeteria and he gets to hit her once here.

"Thanks." He had an evil grin on his face when he said that.

He immediately rushed up to Alexia and hit her across the face sending her flying across the arena. But that hit left her conscious.

Before she could stop herself, he kicked her and then punched her twice, slamming her into the barrier.

'That bastard! He holding back so he can torture me.'

As Alexia was about to stand up, he punched her in the stomach. With the barrier behind her, she felt the full impact.

Though she hadn't sustained any injuries, the pain was real. He grabbed her shoulder and then threw her towards the centre.

As Alexia lay sprawled on the floor, he brought his foot down and stepped on her head, with her face sandwiched between the floor and his shoe.

There were two things Alexia had to give him credit for. One was his ability to gauge her tolerance and hit her hard enough to not trigger the barrier ending the match.

And the second was getting her this angry. Alexia usually considered herself a calm person with rational thoughts. But he was testing her limits.

Alexia wasn't particularly angry during the cafeteria incident. She was just a bit annoyed by him when he disturbed her breakfast. Nobody messes with Alexia's meals. But the main reason she messed with them was to use them as an example.

But now she was truly pissed. But she tried to bottle it up even more, so she could leave quickly.

Alexia hoped he would make a mistake so the match would end quickly but he kept battering her around.

After getting hit into the barrier for the umpteenth time she lost it. When Alexia got really angry, she got quiet. In fact, on the outside, Alexia looked completely indifferent.

As Alexia got up, mana started bursting out of her as she couldn't contain her rage. That was the only sign of her uncontrollable emotions.

Her opponent, who was charging at her, stopped and stepped back. As an experienced fighter, he sensed the danger.

He started reinforcing himself with more mana preparing for her next move.

Alexia grabbed her katana and its scabbard hanging at her waist and threw it to the side.

To regain some rationality she picked up her dagger and stabbed her shoulder. Alexia felt no pain.

Due to the barrier, the dagger didn't make it far past her skin. Though some blood started trickling out.

She dragged the dagger from her shoulder down her arm, staining the dagger with her blood and causing a stream of blood to flow out.

She felt no pain from that action.

Alexia started coating mana over her body, extending it towards her bloodied dagger. Her coating wasn't smooth and was wasting mana. But that was enough.

With a burst of speed, she rushed towards him. Her opponent was astonished by her speed but quickly managed to compose himself.

Alexia aimed a kick towards his head, and he responded by guarding his face.

But it was just a bait.

With her right leg that was slightly in the air, she hopped with her left leg, landing back on her right leg.

Using her momentum and her right leg as a pivot, she spun to the side and used the dagger in reverse grip to stab him in his right arm, causing a small cut.

Her opponent ignored the pain of the stab and slammed his left hand against Alexia's face which sent her a few metres backwards.

He clasped his hands together and suddenly suddenly a steel spike came out of the ground. Alexia quickly backflipped away in time.

A few more steel spikes came out of the ground but she easily dodged all of them.

'Magic? But there were no magic formulas or incantations. He isn't good enough to omit incantation or hide his formulas. So it must be his gift. Explains why his skin was so tough.'

He then grabbed his Bo staff from behind him and used his gift to create a makeshift warhammer.

He swung it around with a surprising swiftness but Alexia easily dodged it.

Then he transformed his weapon into a spear and rushed toward her at a speed she could barely see.

It was only by instinct Alexia was able to dodge his weapon aimed at her face. Even then, it still cut her.

He then created an axe blade to cut her but she dodged by ducking. With Alexia close to the ground, she tried to sweep his legs but he jumped backwards.

But when he was midair, she used her arm to push her up and kicked him in the chin.

Then Alexia got up and dodged the spear aiming for her. Her opponent tried to stab her again but she used her hands to block the side of the spear. Despite his physical superiority, Alexia was able to keep up.

'Hey, I still got it.'

But it was at that moment she made a mistake. He created a blade on the side of the spear which she was about to block, but it cut her instead, causing a gash to form on her right hand.

Then he spun his staff around hitting Alexia's left arm, propelling her sideways and denying her access to her left arm.

If this battle continued, Alexia would lose. However, enough time passed.

"Hey, you should pay attention to the state of your body."

He paused when she spoke those words.

"If you were smart, you would have tried to figure out my gift first. By the way, its name is Hemokinesis."

Just after Alexia spoke, his eyes widened in fear. He had just discovered what was wrong with his body. But it was too late.

With a sadistic smile on her face, she brought her right arm up and snapped her fingers.

"Blood Revolution"

As soon as she spoke those words, blood started pouring from every orifice in his body.

Alexia had full control over his blood now. She started manipulating his blood causing his muscles to start ripping and twisting his internal organs.

"AHHHHHH!"

His pained screams were music to her ears.

The barrier couldn't stop an attack like this because this wasn't an attack caused by an external force. This was his own blood acting against him.

Alexia's blood was special. When she stabbed herself before, the purpose was not only to calm her but also to get some blood on her dagger.

When she stabbed him, her blood entered his body. From there her blood started 'infecting' the rest of his body. The infection wasn't dangerous, but it gave Alexia access to his bloodstream and allowed her to form a mana connection to it.

When his entire body was infected, all the blood inside his body came under her control.

With her power, she started twisting his body in unnatural ways, smiling in ecstasy while doing so. His nerves snapped as she enforced her control.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, please st—AAHHHHH!"

He begged for forgiveness, but he had to suffer for not accepting her offer.

"ALEXIA! Release your technique!"

A teacher shouted at Alexia from the stands.

But she was too angry to listen to her.

Suddenly a woman appeared behind Alexia, holding her shoulder and the teacher's hand at the back of Alexia's head.

"Release your technique."

She spoke again but a bit calmer this time.

"No." Alexia responded and continued what she was doing. She quickly tried to use her technique to reach his heart.

"UGH!"

Suddenly electricity started flowing through her body. The teacher used some magic to forcibly remove her connection to his blood.

Then she appeared right next to the opponent Alexia was facing who was currently unconscious from the pain. His blood was dripping from his body.

"The principal is coming back today. You will hear from her. Until then you sit on the bench and wait."

She spoke to Alexia sternly. She didn't bother to resist. She was satisfied when she saw his body in that state. Her anger all but disappeared. Not listening now would only cause her more trouble.

She sat on the bench with my legs crossed and started yawning. She used quite a bit of mana in that fight.

Alexia didn't regret her actions. He deserved what he got.

"Well, whatever. It is was it is."

The teacher glared at Alexia after seeing her actions but didn't bother to say anything to her.

"Vincent look over her while I take the student to the medbay."

That's all she said before disappearing. It looked like she teleported but she probably used a movement technique.
