Sharing The Same Class

~ • ~

The five girls went their separate ways to their respective classes.

Roxie was in front of the classroom door of her first subject, Element A.

The class elements in this school consist of three classes, Element A, Element B, and Element C. All classes are no different, only different in letters, students, and teachers. There are no high or low levels because it is only a theory class. It is not included with the Element practical class.

She stopped at the door, mustering up her courage before entering her class.

She took a deep breath, nodded, knocked on the classroom door, then pushed the doorknob away, and walked inside.

When she entered, she was immediately greeted by the teacher who was sitting in front of the class, on a luxury high-end office table. He wears a white coat, blue checkered shirt, trousers, and black shoes. His long white hair was tied in a half-up. His appearance looks like a gentle person and he doesn't look old at all. But like someone who had just entered his 30s.

"Oh, hello there. We haven't started the class yet and you're not late. So come on in," he invited Roxie in.

Roxie felt nervous as she starts to walk in. Fiaxora Academy is different from her previous school, where each individual here has superpowers. They could even come from among the nobility factions.

She then glanced at the class while walking slowly to the teacher's desk. There were about 30 people's eyes follow her every movement with blank expressions. So far, from Roxie's view, they didn't seem intimidating. Yet.

That's a good thing, right?

She then stopped beside the teacher's desk. The teacher saw Roxie and smiled kindly at her.

"You must be the new student, would you kindly please introduce yourself to us? Tell us your name and where did you came from,"

"Sure," Roxie replied curtly.

She stiffly turned her body to face the other students.

They just watched her with a flat face.

Roxie wondered whether there was a rule for this class to remain silent because they were all completely quiet and just staring at her like a statue.

Roxie did a short wave to greet them, "Uh, hi, I'm Roxanne ..."

She suddenly remembered her friends' words not to mention her full name when she's in school.

"But, you can call me Roxie. I'm from Vancouver, Canada. If you, uh, know where that is, that would be great,"

Roxie smiled nervously at them. Yet there was only silence and bored gazes from them in return.

"Ookaay, this is awkward," Roxie muttered, glancing beside her then turning back to the teacher.

"I guess that's all, Sir," Roxie said, feeling relaxed now that her introduction was over.

"Okay, Roxie, thank you for your introduction. You may sit down wherever you want. There are several empty chairs in the classroom. Feel free to take your place," said the teacher, squeezed his smile, showing his little dimples.

She felt strange with this teacher. He seemed oddly nice, way too nice. In fact, he did not even address the tense situation in this class.

Roxie nodded her head at him and then walked past the students. Their eyes were watching her as she walked by. But she ignored them like she used to do in her previous school.

As her eyes were already set on two empty chairs beside the wall. She hastened her pace to get there. She no longer wanted to be the center of attention of this class.

Sadly, there were no other empty chairs left by the window. All of them were occupied.

Her seat is at the very back. There are no more empty seats left. Though, she's fine with it if she was alone, she could focus more on studying in her new class.

She chose to sit down on a chair near the wall.

"Alright, welcome to the Element A Class! For those of you who don't know who I am yet, my name is Professor Nel Mora and I am your teacher for this class,"

The teacher speaks in a cheerful tone, trying to cheer up his class, which looked as quiet as a grave.

The sound of crickets can be heard from afar. Although, it's still in the morning.

Roxie genuinely appreciates Professor Nel's efforts. But she felt sorry for him. How unfortunate that he has to take care of these poker-face students in this class.

Suddenly the classroom door opened, Demitri has entered the classroom. Roxie's eyes then widened. She didn't expect to be in the same class as him.

'Isn't he a senior? They said he wouldn't join the same class as juniors, what is this? Why we have to share the same class?!' Roxie thought in frustration.

"Ah, Prince Demitri. Welcome to the class, we're almost starting our lessons,"

Demitri without paying attention to the teacher immediately walked past him who are standing in front of the classroom.

"Ah, alright, I see, feel free to take any seats you want," Professor Nel pointed out to him.

Then, he began to explain some basic rules around the class.

Unfortunately, he was ignored by his students who looked at Demitri in awe. On the inside, Professor Nel sighed in resignation but he continued with his explanation.

As Demitri walked past the students in the class, the girls looked at him with admiration. Whereas the boys looked frightened - or seemed respectful of him. They lowered their heads with sweat popping out of their heads. Roxie couldn't tell what made them afraid of that bastard.

'Is it because of his looks? or powers?'

As Demitri began to get close to Roxie's table, he was already glancing at Roxie the minute he walked into the class. But he pretended not to see her by staring the other way.

Roxie immediately squeezed her eyes shut and close her face with both of her palms, as she began to chant inside her head.

'Oh, no. Please don't sit beside me. Please don't sit beside me. Please don't-'

That jerk's voice suddenly interrupted her.

"Hey, can I sit here?" Demitri asked beside Roxie, he was already sitting on the seat next to her.

Roxie shifted her hands to the side of her face. She then glanced at him briefly behind her palms, then faced the front without lowering her hands.

"Why do you ask me when you're already sitting there. That's a futile question,"

Demitri just smiled amusedly with Roxie's behavior. He thought her demeanor was quite cute. The thought made him suddenly stop smiling but it didn't make him lose his interest in Roxie.

"Oh, my bad. Sorry, since we already become a sitting partner. Let me introduce myself, my name is Demitri. And you are?"

"If I remember correctly, I didn't ask for your name,"

"And if I remember correctly, you're the girl who's always running away from me. Why is that?"

'Shoot, he knows it's me,'

Roxie then lowered her hands from her side face, then glared at the bastard.

"Look, just because I'm running away from you, it doesn't mean I'm crushing on you like any other girls. So, shut up and let me focus on this class," She half-shouted at Demitri.

The students around them gave them a strange look. Moreover, this caught the attention of Professor Nel as well who stopped his explanation upfront.

"Is there something wrong back there, Miss Roxie and Prince Demitri?"

Demitri's eyebrows rose briefly when he heard Roxie's name. Roxie just sighed in defeat. There goes her freedom of identity. Luckily, only her nickname, though.

"Nothing, Sir. Just showing my junior here how to follow the rules around the school," He replied, while his hand wrapped around Roxie's shoulder. She glared at his hand in disgust. Then, she pushed his hand away from her shoulder.

"Yeah, Sir, please continue. We apologized for interrupting your teachings," Roxie apologized while sitting up straight to take a stance to focus only on the front of the class. She will have to ignore Demitri at all costs.

"Alright, then. Please do not repeat the action in my class or else you two will have to stand outside of this classroom. That goes the same for you as well, Prince Demitri, even when you're a Prince. To me, you're still a student in my class and you're a senior to your juniors here, so please show them a good example, okay?"

Demitri rolled his eyes and groaned, but he nodded once. Roxie seemed quite happy about this. No more distractions for her.

"Now, let's begin with the first lesson. Today we will discuss one of the strongest elements, that is ice. I'll take an example of someone who is powerful and well known, such as King Elias Walker, who was formerly the leader of the Oryn Kingdom. Now, he has disappeared and his kingdom is being taken over by someone," Professor Nel's eyes narrowed at the mention of that someone.

Roxie suddenly went into a shocked state when she hears her father's name. He is a king and very powerful. But, he suddenly disappeared and someone seized their kingdom?

Their?

'Wait a minute, if my father is the King, then I am ...?'

Roxie's eyes then widened, she was shocked.
