Internships with Last laser: Part 7

Doryoku ran quickly through the empty streets using his kinetic body, while he jumped occasionally to move faster.

At his back, the sound of several cars being destroyed and the ground shaking closer and closer made him extremely tense, since he knew perfectly well what it was about.

It wasn't crazy to think that this was possible for Big Stout and his quirk, but the fact that he was noticeably faster than him, he had to admit he didn't see it coming.

Doryoku kept running at high speed as he jumped between some buildings to shorten the path and tried to keep the advantage of him in the distance, but...

"Come here test subject, escaping is not a heroic act!!" Kanbatsu said stepping on Doryoku's heels with Big Stout, causing Doryoku to look back in shock.

Big Stout hurled Kanbatsu at Doryoku at high speed, which Doryoku barely dodged by jumping sharply in another direction.

But Big Stout didn't let him get away so easily, so he formed another big hand, this time with the intention of catching Doryoku which due to the closeness was technically impossible to dodge.

Still, Doryoku already had an idea that he might fall into a trap, so he decided to actually use something he kept from recently.

"Kinetic Counter!" Doryoku yelled using the force of the previous blows Big Stout landed on him, and taking a big, quick jump to get out of that situation, getting quite far away.

"Tch, you damn slippery kid" said Big Stout with quite annoyance and looking quickly for Kanbatsu to follow him.

Last laser was not in the best of situations either, as he was dodging large spikes of stone and asphalt with small but precise jumps backwards while his hair continued to absorb the light as he passed.

His attacker's quirk turned out to be one of groundbending, basically earthbending as his self-imposed fifth element title said.

Although he was a emitter Last laser still couldn't tell much about what exactly his quirk was like, since until now he had only been besieged by what he decided to call the earth element.

"Come on Laser, surely you'll have to stop escaping at some point" said the earth element with a confident smile as he kept getting closer and throwing spikes left and right.

At not seeing any kind of weariness with generating so many spikes, Last laser frowned slightly and decided to get a little closer to a building while he continued to nimbly dodge.

The earth element continued to attack without holding back at any time, launching several spikes towards the building as well.

Upon hitting the building, these few were almost easily destroyed, so Last Laser already had an idea of ​​his quirk in mind.

The earth element kept launching more and more attacks, without seeming tired or fatigued and with more and more strength and confidence.

At one point, the earth element launched an attack from the sides at Last Laser, generating several stone spears mostly to corner Last Laser.

The spikes in front of him shattered and took him by surprise, subsequently receiving a very strong punch directly to the face, which took him several meters away and left him quite dazed on the ground.

"Your quirk only allows you to stretch the earth molecules and manipulate them, that only makes the rock weak, something similar to sedimentation" Last laser said cleaning a little his fist which had a little blood since the rocks were not so very weak either.

After a long chase, Doryoku realized it was useless to try to escape, so he quickly changed his plans.

He was closely followed by Kanbatsu and Big Stout, barely keeping his distance after escaping a few moments ago.

Doryoku knew exactly the situation he was in, two people with quite strong quirks and one of them was an emitter, besides, he had something in his hands that he didn't want to let go due to his irrational sentimentality.

Suddenly, Doryoku stopped in his tracks, and after a few moments his pursuers arrived as well.

"Don't tell me you're going to do another weird thing, this time I won't stay like an idiot watching" Kanbatsu said with a lot of irritation after so much chasing and taking a big drink of water.

Big Stout, for his part, looked around, quite shocked actually.

"What will you do with it and what is your question?" Big Stout said straight to the point before answering any other questions he could use against him.

"It'll help me know who I'm fighting" Doryoku said with complete honesty, causing Big Stout to nod his approval for the question after a moment.

"If your boss asks you to kill someone, would you do it?" Doryoku said with much more seriousness than before causing Big Stout to raise an eyebrow curiously.

"Killing... if that's what it takes to move forward and get what I want, I would without hesitation" Kanbatsu said with a very slight reluctance, but then quite clearly of his decision.

"If it's what I'm ordered to do, I would" Big Stout said with much more confidence, making Doryoku understand.

"Then this will be much easier, I didn't want to ruin someone's life with no luck" Doryoku said resolutely and knowing well that he was facing two real villains.

Last laser stayed away from the earth element for a reason, experience, it was not the first time, nor the last sadly, in which he would see someone explode his own body in order to help his boss in his goal and finish him.

Now it was even more difficult than before, and after so much dodging, they both approached the end of that empty and dark street, getting closer to the busiest areas, with a small light post being the indicator of arrival.

This was a problem, considering that a little more than two hours had already passed between battles and talking, at this hour it was quite possible that someone would be there, and that was a fatal disadvantage.

It was impossible to advance as well, the path was constantly occupied by stakes since the earth element regained consciousness, and for someone without a quirk of superhuman strength it was impossible to get out of it.

"You're finished Laser, I know the situation perfectly and unless your useless quirk does something spectacular there is no way you can beat me!" said the earth element with such exploitable confidence, but being very cautious and aware of Last laser's quirk.

Last Laser didn't respond to this, and simply continued to dodge each of his attacks.

On his back, his feet, sides and practically every angle of him he was attacked by stakes, and every time it seemed to have a pattern it changed and Last laser received at least one hit or cut.

The earth element was getting more and more confident as they got closer and closer to the crowded areas and to ensure his victory he launched a massive amount of stakes, large tremors and raised portions of earth, taking cover behind a them to keep his progress and security.

Last laser received several shallow cuts to his abdomen and chest and even some of his legs due to not having anywhere to dodge.

And when they got to that light pole it... turned off.

Then there was a strange second of calm and...

"Cghhhhhh!!!" the earth element said in shock as he spat out a large amount of blood.

Paying more attention he realized that he had received a kind of shot in the side of his abdomen and had to apply pressure due to the large amount of blood that came out of it, so he also had to stop his attack.

Last laser slowly approached him while the small crystal of that strange ornament on his forehead shone with great intensity and faded little by little.

"W-what the fuck w-was that?" said the earth element with quite a bit of anger and impotence as he was completely out of action, while he lost that greenish color in the veins of his eyes.

"A direct light laser on one of the kidneys, the organs that contain the largest amount of blood with 22% of it and where all the toxins and liquids go" Last laser said quite calmly as he cleaned some blood on his face.

"Did you think my name was creativity? I'm Last laser, always the last one to shoot but also the last one who needs to" Last laser said as his hair stopped shining and he searched for a phone around him.

"Don't worry, you won't die, it's just one kidney and you have two, besides, I was quite precise with that shot" Last laser said, walking away from the scene in search of a phone to call the police.

'Tch, it's only ten damn years apart, why I'm I so damn far behind him in experience?!!' thought the earth element, barely maintaining consciousness and quite resentfully.

And a couple of minutes later, he passed out due to the Trigger's side effects and blood loss.
